In the neighboring village of Salzhemmendorf, the Ith-Sole-Therme, a wellness bath with a large sauna area, is located. There are a variety of shopping opportunities for everyday needs, several doctors and pharmacies, a hairdresser, a gas station, an indoor swimming pool and a riding facility. There is also a bakery in Hemmendorf.
