Chalet holiday rentals in Sri Lanka

Sanju and her family were perfect hosts and I can't praise their hospitality enough. Their little cabin is the perfect place to stay during your exploration of Yala. The wildlife in the park is dazzling, but so is the beauty of Sanju's little spot. We fell asleep to the sound of waves and woke to peacocks crying. Sanju's mom cooked us absolutely sumptuous meals and gave us lovely ayurvedic massages. Highly recommend.

The location is amazing. We were totally alone at breattaking beaches. And had the sea to ourselves. Staff is amazing! Breakfast fantastic! Rooms are very big and in kolonial style. There is no atm or another restaurant around though.

Zeer vriendelijk personeel bij aankomst in Rowinrich Cottages. Het was even moeilijk om te vinden maar we kregen direct reactie van de host. Super goeie ligging. Propere kamers, leuk terras. Rustig gelegen maar toch op maar 5 minuten wandel afstand van Ella center. Zalige ervaring die we zeker zouden aanbevelen!

Aziz and his family were extremely hospitable, making the stay great and memorable. Aziz was very good at communicating before check in and his family were very generous in suggestions about activities and transport options in the area. The accommodation is very well located right within the fort. Very happy to recommend this place.

Gem River Edge is a beautiful and peaceful place, perfect for relaxing in nature. The dinner was absolutely delicious, and the location is ideal for starting a safari in Yala National Park.

Environnement incroyable. La vue époustouflante depuis la terrasse. Helper aux petits soins et sympathique.. plantations accessibles à pied depuis la maison en autonomie, baignade dans une rivière sauvage juste à côté pour les petits aventuriers… on a adoré !!

Es ist wunderschön im Dschungel gelegen mit Naturpool, sehr ruhig und so schön grün alles. Die Zimmer sind sehr groß und toll - mit Sofa, großem Spiegel - eingerichtet. Man kann Frühstück und Dinner dazu buchen. Die Gastgeber sind unglaublich nett und hilfsbereit, es ist eine große Freude bei ihnen zu sein.

What can I say?? We have stayed in so many places in the world and rarely had the level of service that we experienced here. It comes from the top down. A huge thank you to Hemantha and his wonderful staff that made our stay so enjoyable. The location was ideal as we were doing a safari very early the next day. They prepared us a little packed breakfast for the morning and were there to greet us with a smile at 4:30am. Breakfast and dinner were outstanding and the rooms were very comfortable. Dilshan is a very caring host. He can satisfy almost all reasonable request. The location is fantastic. The rooms and dining area were very cozy. Everything is new inside the house. Highly recommended A+++ host!

The photos do not express how much this place is amazing! We've really enjoyed our time here. The bungalows and the rooms are new, furnished with taste, full of light and very clean. The common space makes you feel at home; you have breakfast here, you can order some snack said/lunch/dinner or enjoy a papaya juice in the upper level waiting for the sunset. The food is always fresh (bought every morning on request) and extremely well cooked. The beach is really the best of the eastern coast, few tourists, amazing sand and waves of the right size to enjoy them swimming. If you get bored, the staff is always there for you, ready to organize boat trip, to do snorkeling, dolphin-whale watching or to go fishing with the locals. Sam is a great host, and her staff is amazing. Highly recommended, we'll be back for sure. We left our heart here! This is what serendipity is about :) Thank you, once again!

The chalet is lovely, and despite not having a/c we slept comfortably with two fans in the rooms. As in most of the country, I'd recommend bringing bug repellent bc the rooms are not air-tight and you sleep under a mosquito net that can still have some mosquitos slip through. The grounds of the facility are carefully manicured and beautiful. The pool is nice to have for the hot afternoons. The staff is attentive and catered to our preferences for meals, which were amazing, delicious and fresh, top quality cuisine. Payment for meals needs to be paid in cash to the facility and not via Airbnb. This chalet is in a small resort with only seven rooms/four villas, so it is good for social distancing. The location is a bit removed from the busier kite-surfing area but the neighboring resort has teachers who take you by boat to the beach where you can learn. There are Kayaks for rent at Luna Laguna if you don't want to kite surf. The lagoon is serene and it was a restful weekend.

Nisha is a shining STAR,he's the best host in Sri Lanka, extremely helpful, doing the extra mile to assist you, guest house in a jungle paradise garden,rooms equipped with hot water, air conditioning and all the amenities needed, amazing cleanliness, delicious food made by his family,stunning environment around with the most beautiful beaches in the whole island up to 5 minutes by tuktuk(Nisha's one), nearest beautiful beach one minute walking distance.Book with closed eyes, i will come back!

Wir können die Unterkunft absolut empfehlen. Die Lage war super - 3 Minuten bis zur Hauptstraße und dem Strand. Die Unterkunft war in einem schönen, ruhigen, grünen Garten gelegen, umringt mit tollen Bäumen und Palmen. Gelegentlich kommt auch mal ein Affe vorbei ☺️ Die Gastgeber sind sehr zuvorkommend, hilfsbereit und super nett. Wir können die Unterkunft zu 200 % weiterempfehlen. Vielen Dank!
