Holiday rentals with a pool in Stalida

We enjoyed a fantastic four days in Aris’ place, the views of the plateau and mountains are just beautiful! We felt right at home, and it was lovely to have Aris and his wife physically there at check in, a rarity these days! The images really don’t do this place justice, it is up some winding roads but we were prepared for that having visited the plateau in 2012. We can’t recommend staying here more, we really wish we’d have booked a longer stay! Aris had a fantastic hire car recommendation too, which was also great, and we had some amazing recommendations from them too. Thank you very much Aris!

Lia was so helpful and amazing during our stay. Fast responses when asked questions, she provided us with not only comfort but made us feel like we are at home. We didn’t have a car so lia was kind enough to help us in every way possible. Lia was the best hostess we could have asked for and we are so grateful for her. Definitely the best place we have ever booked and we will definitely be recommending this to others and we will come back for sure!

We can highly recommend this accommodation. It's tucked away in a very secluded spot, which makes it wonderfully peaceful. At the same time, you can reach restaurants and a mini market in just a few minutes. A car is essential! The garden is stunning. The biodiversity is incredible. There's always something new to discover. The house is quite small and simply furnished, but that was absolutely fine. Everything was clean, and that's what matters most. The long driveway leading to the house can be a bit intimidating—it just slopes down without any railing or guard. But that’s just part of the Cretan charm. Giannis was always very friendly and helpful—thank you for everything! We also got to know the neighboring family and even visited them. Such kind people. And the animals! Aphroditi the horse, a peacock, chickens, and turkeys—our daughter loved them. Overall a great experience. We were very happy and would definitely recommend it. Who knows—maybe we’ll be back in a few years!

Irini is a warm and attentive owner to her hosts. Through all its little touches, flexibility and good humor, you can only feel at home! The environment is soothing, the apartment matches the photos and the hot tub a real plus! We were not able to enjoy the pool because of the weather but the setting is pleasant, it is to share with Irini's family who is as friendly as she is. You will have from time to time the visit of his cat and away from the dog. I can only recommend hoping to come back one day and discover the evolution of the site🥰. Thanks for everything!

The best, most luxe Airbnb experience! 🥹 From the epic views and immaculate landscaping (with butterflies everywhere!) to the private pool + tennis court to the incredible suite with comfortable bed, spacious / modern living + kitchen spaces and endless amenities. This place has it all and is in absolute paradise. We were at peace the whole time. We loved the outdoor shower, free laundry, local village bakeries / cafes & restaurants, total privacy, local provided olive oil (made by the host!), and friendly hosts. We came as a family for a few days and were greeted by Lefteris' mother. The welcome was more than pleasant. This woman breathes the joy of living. Beyond AIRBNB, we see that she does it because she loves people. We were able to talk several times with Lefteris, who was always super responsive, just like his mom on site. We loved our stay and if we come back to the area, we won't hesitate to come back. Thanks again for everything and for the next travelers. Enjoy and book without fear.

An absolutely perfect stay! The villa was beautiful, very stylishly decorated and immaculately clean. Everything was really thought of: coffee, tea, sugar, spices, two coffee machines, tea maker, microwave, oven, stove, large refrigerator, freezer with ice cubes and complete kitchen equipment – absolutely nothing was missing. The pool was sparkling clean🏊, the grill station perfectly equipped🔥. The fantastic view of the sea 🌊 was a real highlight and ensured relaxed moments. Also air conditioning in every room❄️, modern TV 📺 and stable, fast internet - everything worked smoothly. We felt completely comfortable, didn't have to worry about anything and could just enjoy the time😌. The host has prepared everything with great attention to detail – from the furnishings to the cleanliness. We are very grateful for this wonderful experience and will definitely come back! Absolute recommendation – 10 out of 10! 🌟

An outstanding location in a beautiful development. A beach with crystal clear waters, and a beautiful pool. This is a perfect home for either two small families, or a larger family with "in-law" space. The balcony views are spectacular.

Mark and Maria were great hosts, very welcoming and accommodating. Papadakis villa is an excellent place to stay, plenty to see within walking distance, a nice bar/pool area and a lovely room!

Smaller than the space appears to be in the photos but clean and well appointed. Danielle, our host, was helpful, a great communicator, and accessible. Great to be able to communicate easily when out of country. The pool is small, good for refreshing only. Be prepared for 3 flights of steep stairs to gain entry.

This was the second year running that we stayed at this apartment(4 weeks this time), and it was just as good as last year. We booked 10 months in advance and was in contact with Michalis 3 or 4 times during the year. Just before we arrived we requested that some provisions were available as we had a very late flight and Michalis provided water, milk, fruit and even some raki with honey! (nice welcome). As usual the apartment was well stocked with kitchen utensils, bed linen and towels; plus a new digital washing machine (quick wash 15 mins! ) The pool is a big bonus if you don't fancy the 20-25 min walk down to Hersonissos. Lots of bars and restaurants in the nearby villages of Piskopiano and Koutoufoulari. Car hire is also available. Already thinking of returning next year.

Ioanna was a fantastic host. She was very welcoming and helpful at any time. Our little stone house had a perfect view over Heraklion and the valley. We enjoyed the silence of the whole place and the privacy of the small house with some space to the other houses. Everything was clean and tidy. We were lucky to have the pool area almost by ourselves to cool down on the hot days. We definitely recommend to stay there, if you are searching for a spot to relax and come down. Thanks again, Ioanna, for making our holiday so relaxing and memorable.

Irene has a nice, small appartment building. The pool is great, and the terrace and balcony were both nice. You can hear the planes, but you can't want to be 10 min from the airport and NOT hear them! It really didn't bother us at all, inside. Otherwise, quiet surroundings, easy drive to the city, close to the aquarium, which was lovely. I only wish there had been some soap and shampoo in the bathroom. We enjoyed our 3 night stay before flying out. The groundskeeper is smiley and helpful, also.

Marina is just an amazing host. Always willing to help with a beautiful smile. We had the best of view the sea a private pool that is super clean. Everything is cleaned on a daily basis. Our flight was on the evening of the checkout day and offered us to stay the whole day in the property without paying anything since she had no reservation the next day. I would HIGHLY recommend the place. Note that the place looks much BETTER than what is actually in the picture :) I had a great time

We had a lovely stay. The apartment is well equipped, walkable from old town and beach. Totally recommend!

We had a lovely 2 week stay at the villa. The view and facilities were outstanding. The hosts were super friendly and very helpful. I would recommend the villa to all families and groups. We were supplied with everything we needed including cots and child safety gates. Thank you for making our stay so relaxing and checking whether we needed anything.

A stunning location, you could never get bored of the view it’s intoxicating! The house is spacious and clean with everything you need inside as well as being in walking distance to some lovely little restaurants and wine tasting. Would highly recommend!!

We felt very comfortable in Manolis' apartment. :o) It is tastefully decorated and the kitchen is fully equipped. On foot you can reach the small town center, where there are many restaurants. Apart from that, Manolis also has nice tips in the area. We felt completely comfortable and can only recommend the beautiful accommodation. Thank you very much, dear Manolis.

Charming place! Aristeidis and his wife Marina are very polite, attentive and hospitality people! During all our rest they were ready to answer any our questions and give advice and help! The villa is very beautiful and comfortable! It is well equipped with different devices! From the second there is charming view all around! The private swimming pool was very clean and gave us possibility to enjoy private rest! The size of the pool is enough even for the big company! Sakalani is very cosy village with beautiful delicious taverns! There are many different olive and grape farms near the village! The villa is situated only 10 minutes from Heraclion! Definitely I and my family are very thankful to Aristeidis for our wonderful rest and time that we spent on his Vila! I strongly recommend this place for the vacations on Crete!

We had an amazing stay here, 6 adults and 2 babies. The villa is beautiful and we really appreciated the separate baby pool and children's toys, as well as being provided with a travel cot and high chairs for both babies. Eleni was a great host, she was very responsive and organised a cleaner to come half way through the stay which was great. The location is good as it isn't in the main town. It is a 10-15 minute walk to the restaurants and bars in Piskopiano and Koutouloufari, the first 5 minutes of the walk is uphill. We hope to return next year!
