Monthly Rentals in Štikovica, Grad Dubrovnik

Just fabulous, perfect accommodation in a very beautiful setting, I see some have complained about the steps down to the lovely village… Frankly if steps are a problem, don't go to Croatia! They are everywhere. Zvone and Melanie couldn't have been more helpful and kind. A very peaceful place to stay. Perfect for day trips into Dubrovnik and elsewhere (by bus or Uber... 15 mins). Or have easy days on the beach (with a beach restaurant!), Or wander further round the bay with its many beaches and restaurants... it's beautiful… Bring swimming shoes though, many of the beaches are pebble, but swimming off them is just great.

We had a lovely 4 night stay at Villa Matej. It was spacious, clean, comfortable and well equipped. The location and views were beautiful. Walk down to nearest shop (Studenac Market) in 20 mins, or get an Uber to Dubrovnik Old Town in 10-15 mins. We enjoyed swimming at the pristine beach over the road and relaxing poolside at the villa. We also did a private day trip to Bosnia (Kravice Waterfalls & Mostar Old Town) which was so worth it. We stopped at Ston on the way which was picturesque and full of historic charm. Matej was helpful in recommending local boat trips and restaurants but we sadly ran out of time for a boat trip. We will just have to come back!

From the moment we arrived, we knew we had made a great choice. The space is actually bigger than it looks in the pictures, with a full kitchen and higher than expected ceilings. There are two cute restaurants on each corner of the beach walk, which made it easy to grab a drink and snacks. We would 100% stay here again.

Getting an uber into Dubrovnik was really easy and we were out of the madness of the city. The beach is a 30 second walk and there are two nice restaurants in the town for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Parking is easy as the property has its own parking and the view from the main balcony was great. One of the bedrooms is windowless whereas the other has a stunning view and balcony. It’s a bit of a tricky walk to other towns (although possible) a lot of the walk is on a small path alongside a fast moving road so it’s better to drive. The host was really communicative and gave great recommendations.
