Kate and Dave’s house on Hess Lake was lovely. Very relaxing and spacious. Hess Lake has always been a home away from home, so staying here was extra special. Thank you Kate and Dave for a wonderful few days!

our family of five plus two puppies had a wonderful stay. we have stayed in alot of homes and this one was our families favorite so far. Great layout! the laundry room was great for me. Do plan for grocery pick up for main needs as once your settled its a drive to big box stores. And you dont want to leave! so mush to do three nights was not enough time for this great town and home.

Such a cute, peaceful place! The hot tub was wonderful, and the home was cozy and well decorated. Would definitely recommend, the hose was so responsive and so sweet!

Joshua was an excellent host. He was very responsive and flexible. The home was exactly as described. The yard was great for the kids to play in. View from the deck is beautiful and very quiet and relaxing. House was a great fit for our vacation. Bedrooms were very nice with comfy mattress and bedding. Bathrooms were stocked with a few essentials which is always a great touch. Living room / dining room area are beautiful and well designed to host a larger group like ours. We most definitely would recommend and would stay at the home again! Thank you Joshua for saving our vacation!

Loved this house! We had 8 girls. The beds were comfy, the house was stocked very well. I came over prepared with seasonings, garbage bags, and a lot of the basics.. and Paul had it all! Had plenty of towels & beach towels…The only thing we couldn’t find was a cutting board… quick Meijer trip! We LOVED THE HOUSE! interior was beautiful, a little dusty and bathroom downstairs needed a little cleaning but it was a 20 minute clean. I’m also very neat freak in that way and just did a cleaning when we got there. The property was beautiful, well stocked with firewood, was able to park 4 cars nicely. The sand down by the water was super soft. The upper deck (needed to wear shoes d/t a girl getting a splinter) the lower deck was Trex Deck & very nice. Hot tub was awesome. Overall, a wonderful experience & we all want to make it a yearly tradition coming back. Neighbors were nice and we were greeted by the friendly dog of a nearby neighbor. We used the home for an annual ladies only get away, it was relaxing, beautiful, very clean and had everything we needed including a beautiful hot tub, our host was very responsive to messages, I would recommend it to anyone and will consider it again for a relaxing getaway.

We hosted a group here for a bachelor party, and it was perfect! We were able to enjoy spending time in the hot tub, playing games near the lake, and kayaking together. We loved the booklet that Kelly had prepared with things to do in the area and also explained where anything we would need at the house was. Kelly was also very responsive to any questions. We had a fantastic stay and the house is beautiful!

We had a great time. It is a wonderful house and a lot of great memories were made. Fun for all ages! My husband and I are in our 40’s, two 20 year olds (our son and his girlfriend), a 16 year old (son), my sister and her husband who are in their 30’s and their 3 month old son. We had pinball tournaments, Godzilla was our favorite, grilled out, made smores at the fire pit, played in the pool and relaxed in the warm bath and hot tub. We rented UTV’s at Silver lake, went to the Ludington North Breakwater Lighthouse, went mini-golfing and go carting at AJ’s, ate and bowled at Stix, and walked around the shops in Ludington. The Coffee Coup’s Golden Egg is a must have for coffee lovers! Thank you, Carolyn, for letting us stay in your beautifully time warped 70’s home!

This cozy cabin is in a perfect location, just a short drive from so many great spots. Despite being close to the owners’ house, I felt like I had complete privacy, especially with the deck facing the woods and the fire pit area all to ourselves. The space is small but thoughtfully equipped with everything you need, making it a perfect retreat for a relaxing, nature-filled getaway.

We really enjoyed our stay at the cottage. It is close to the lake. Walking distance to a small beach. Very peaceful. We used the bikes to ride on the Fred Meijer trail and around the lake. Only about a 10 minute drive into town less than that to get to Walmart. We would definitely stay again when in the area visiting relatives .

The house is so nice and the location of the house and the view of the lake from the back deck is beautiful ! Will definitely be going back.

This was our first trip with our grandkids aged 2 and 5. The location was great as we had family staying in an owned property nearby and another family in an additional airbnb home nearby as well. There is a lot to do in the area and the location of the house central to everything was great. The home was cozy for the 4 of us and such a better option than a hotel room. Lanette was quick to respond to all of our questions and there is a booklet in the house with area recommendations of things to do. The house was clean and very detailed so that it is easy to find everything needed - even the kitchen cabinets are labeled as to where everything is. Because of being there with other family, we were basically there to sleep and for a light breakfast every day so we didn't use all of her amenities but having them there was appreciated. On our next return visit we will definitely stay again if the house is available.

Kevin was an excellent host! After arriving, he proactively reached out to make sure everything was satisfactory. The property was as described and within close proximity of the beach. Both checking in and out were seamless. I would highly recommend staying here!

My family was happy and relaxed in this home! Beds were comfy, the yard was fun to play in, and we enjoyed walking into downtown. We really loved the experience.

We stayed during the "off" season so lots of activities, shops and places to eat were closed. We didn't mind too much because we were looking for a relaxing and peaceful stay. It has to be amazing during the warmer months when you can take advantage of being outside and in the water. Since the house is right on the lake, we had beautiful views. I was lucky enough to catch an amazing sunrise. "The Sandlot" was exactly what you think of when you think family lakehouse. Rustic, cozy and charming. It felt very homey. The house was one of the cleanest places we've ever stayed. The only issue we had were so many trips up and down the stairs. If you have any mobility issues like me, (bad knee) then you must be careful on the stairs. They can be kind of slippery in socks.

We were in Pentwater for a wedding and this property was perfect for our stay. Convenient to the downtown and in a nice neighborhood everything was as described in the listing. The owners were very professional and courteous, and the communication was excellent..

Great Place for a fall long weekend getaway! We enjoyed the ease of access to surrounding activities, beautiful views and advertised amenities. The place worked great for cooking in or outdoors and keeping two children entertained. Trips to dunes for hiking or motorsport, bigger cities for restaurants or shopping and parks for sightseeing and recreation are all available from this cottage. The place was well stocked with towels, bedding and cooking utensils. Some water and ice are also provided. I ended up needing to work a bit during the stay, the wifi was great for this. A note that lake front property is prime real-estate so neighbors are close by. While quiet and nice, having neighbors close by may not be everyone's cup of tea. Overall a great place to stay, would be interested in coming back for longer during the summer in the future.

We had a fantastic stay at this lakeside gem! The house was spotless, and the instructions for check-in were clear and easy to follow. The hosts were incredibly responsive and made sure everything was perfect for our visit. The game room provided hours of fun for our group, and the kayaks were a wonderful touch for exploring the lake. Saturday morning on the water was absolutely picture-perfect—calm, serene, and stunningly beautiful. This is the perfect spot for a relaxing getaway. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a clean, fun, and peaceful retreat by the lake!

This was a wonderful stay for us. We had a great time, and we will definitely be back. The cabin and river in the backyard was so peaceful and relaxing. Enjoyed every minute. Lisa is prompt and quick to respond and provides everything you need to be comfortable.

This was the most amazing weekend retreat. A beautiful wood path and dock leading to the gorgeous lake, so many birds that it felt as though a symphony was playing just for us. Less than a 10 minute drive to the most gorgeous hiking trails. The space was quaint and cozy and had everything we needed without a bunch of useless Airbnb clutter. I honestly felt like I was in my own home, which is rare with an Airbnb. Sitting on the couch morning or evening and looking out over the lake was absolutely luxurious. Shaun was beyond accommodating, answering all of my questions and making sure I had everything I needed. The entire area is so beautiful and if you want to immerse yourself in nature, there are so many different ways to do it. Once you’ve soaked up the sun, head back to your cozy little private retreat and enjoy a bonfire or a nap in a hammock, or just watch the geese and the ducks on the water. We got the extra treat of a mama duck with NINE baby ducks! Stop reading-just book it! 💜

This place was a real find! It was quiet, cozy, comfortable and relaxing. The cottage was clean and had everything we needed. I have already booked this cottage for October and can’t wait to go back!

Beautiful place! Cute and cozy vibe. So many things made our stay great. So well taken care of. Linens and towels smelled wonderful! Obviously attention to detail is a priority, which makes for a great experience. Peaceful deck and convenient firepit. We were able to check in a bit earlier, and also had an hour later checkout, which we appreciated. Wonderful hosts! Highly recommend.
