House holiday rentals in Strafford County

The house is beautiful and the views are just breathtaking. From inside the house, you get a beautiful view of the lake and then the porch is amazing. You can kayak, use the paddle board or use the canoe. You can also sit by the lake and enjoy the campfire. The surroundings are very beautiful and peaceful. The host is very responsive, solved all our doubts and was flexible with us during check-in and check-out, which we appreciated very much. At check-in, we were greeted by a great bottle of wine and chocolates, which was a great touch. The house also has a ping pong table, books to read and board games. The kitchen was well stocked with the basics. We had an amazing stay, we highly recommend this property :)

My friends and I had a fantastic time during our stay. The house is spacious and comfortable with a lot if fun activities no matter the weather. Chris was kind and helpful and easy to communicate with. I had a great stay and would love to return. Great little getaway.

Great and relaxing location, close to local amenities. Perfect for small groups, Hillary was awesome to rent from.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Milton! Definitely a spot that you can go and explore or just sit back and relax the whole time away. McKenzie's Farm at the top of the street added plenty of goodness to our week at the house (the super stocked kitchen helped with all our yummy finds). The only downside for us was that the weather wasn't quite summery enough to enjoy the pool however that absolutely didn't stop us sitting on the edge with our feet in. You can tell they definitely pride themselves based on their care and attention to detail in the home. Would definitely stay again if we ever venture back out this way.

Absolutely fabulous weekend at Mary’s cottage by the lake. We loved our stay and had an amazing time. Things to note: - there is a short walk to the water access. While we were there, the lake unfortunately had a Cyanobacteria bloom so we were not able to swim but this was remedied as the association has access to pools. - The main living area is on the second floor but there are bathrooms on both levels! - There are no fires in either the indoor fire place or outdoor fire pit with the exception of duraflame log fires allowed. Overall we loved our stay and are hoping to return soon!

My friends & I stayed at Cindy’s place for a wedding weekend. It was a beautiful lake house & perfectly accommodated us. We enjoyed the spacious living room & game room & cooked breakfasts in the kitchen. Cindy was quick to reply with any issues & even helped bring an item of clothing that was left to us! We all agreed that we’d come back again during warmer months to get use out of the kayaks & other lake amenities! Thanks again, Cindy!

Pam has a wonderful place to have a fun weekend. Especially love the hot tub and the pool table.

We booked this home for our daughters graduation from the University of New Hampshire. The house was fantastic. The lake was great and the house was perfect for our family and friends that stayed with us. The house was 25 minutes from UNH, so the location was perfect. Veronique was very helpful and super responsive. She even allowed us to shift days when we found out her ceremony was on a different day than we thought. I would absolutely recommend this location.

We had a very enjoyable stay at Meredith’s place. The bedrooms were spacious and the beds were very comfortable. This home is very conveniently located with a short drive to Portsmouth, Rye and the Maine coast. We initially had issues with the lock but Meredith had sent us the code for a lockbox with keys l so getting in and locking the rental wasn’t an issue. This place looks exactly like the listing photos. I would definitely recommend and stay again in the future.

Great place and location would definitely stay again. Nice lake, bugs / mosquitos were not any issue, clean property and nice outside hangout area between house and dock. We did use the dock for a pontoon boat rental so it was used a lot.

This place is a little gem. Beautiful setting and great use of space. Packing 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms & 2 gathering spaces into this square footage was genius.

What a gem! The house has history. Built as a hunting and fishing lodge. It has retained its character as Dave and MB have kept a lot of the original fixtures and have embraced the history with furnishings that speak of the old times but in a way that adds comfort and a homey feeling. The beds are extremely comfortable and everyone slept well. While we appreciated the history of the house and the owner’s interest in retaining it’s character it meant that there was one shower for all of us, but we knew this and it was not an issue. Also, a heads up that there are resident mice. We just made sure our food was put away at night. Sitting on the waterside patio each morning and evening was a highlight. Our days with four boys ages 8-12 and six adults were filled with lots to do without leaving the premises. Kayaking, paddle boarding, swimming off the dock,basketball, our version of pickle ball, pool, ping pong and more. The lake is beautiful, clean and peaceful. A memorable family week.

Kira was a very responsive host. The description of the home was accurate we are sad that so much time was spent away at the wedding we were in the area for. The road to get to her home is a little rough but nothing the host can do about that. All in all beautiful spot!!!! Coffee on deck my favorite ❤️

Beautiful house and great host!

5 stars for the experience, but with a few minor issues. I had an amazing time at the lake house! The property itself is fantastic, with plenty of awesome features. The pond and kayak were perfect for some relaxing outdoor time, and the back deck with the grill made for great evening cookouts. We really enjoyed hanging out around the fire pit, too. The host was super nice and made the whole process smooth and easy. That said, the house could have used a bit more cleaning. There was some dust and a few spider webs around, and one of the bedrooms had a slight moldy smell. Also, the inside of the refrigerator and the kitchen sink weren’t very clean. Despite those small issues, we had a great time, and I definitely want to come back!

We all had a great time despite the fact it rained almost the entire time. The house was comfortable and we found plenty of activities to do. House had everything we needed. If you’re looking for a place in this area, you can’t go wrong with this house. We’re looking forward to staying there again when we can. Thank you Melissa!

We had a lovely week at Lucas Pond. The area is very beautiful and peaceful. The house had everything we needed for a family of four and we loved spending time on the deck overlooking the water. We can't wait to come back!

Better than excellent host and a charming little cabin; the perfect “home base” for our weekend away. Patrick was accommodating, friendly, proactive, and (even though he happened to be staying in another building on the property while we were there) never intruded or made us feel as though we were intruding. The cabin itsself is charming and cozy, with a wood burning fireplace on the open-concept main floor, small kitchen with all the essentials and breakfast nook, a loft primary bedroom, and a third mancave/bedroom in the basement. The main floor bedroom and loft bedroom are open to the main living space, which was not a negative for us, but could be challenging for families or multiple couples. There are no grand views from the back deck, but, being 10 - 15 minutes from shopping and dining, and 20-30 minutes from just about everything else the Lakes Region has to offer, we very much enjoyed our stay and would book here again in a heartbeat.
