Holiday houses in Strandbad Brienz

A great place to stay in Brienz area. Upon arrival Jo waited for us to show the house and parking that really helped. Apartment is renovated well and looks clean and beautiful. Only small downside is the noise from neighbours (but since it’s an old house understandable.) the home made marmelade is a nice addition. Would definitely stay again and recommend !

My friend and I stayed at Sorinela’s Airbnb for a week to hike in Switzerland and it was the perfect place to come back to after exploring the areas surrounding Interlaken. We travelled using only public transit passes, so it was convenient to have a bus stop less than 5 min from the Airbnb (can walk down from the Airbnb to the train station easily since it is downhill ~15 min walk, uphill ~25, recommend using the SBB app for transit!). We did not have an issue with this but I could see it being a bit difficult if mobility is an issue. Brienz is beautiful and staying further from the busy areas made us feel like locals. One of the main highlights from our amazing trip was staying here - the hosts were so kind and helpful throughout the trip. Upon arrival, Sorinela greeted us with delicious homemade cake. During our trip, she went out of her way to share fresh produce from her garden with us and truly made us feel at home. Would highly recommend staying here, even without a car!

It’s hard to put into words just how special Florence and Heiner are. At first glance, you’ll be taken in by the breathtaking beauty of their home—the views, the garden, the immaculate cleanliness, and the delicious breakfast all speak for themselves. But what truly makes this place unforgettable is the heart and warmth of the couple who welcome you in. This was our second visit, and I already find myself hoping for a third. Florence and Heiner are among the kindest, most thoughtful people we’ve ever met. Florence even went out of her way to help us get to and from the bus stop, fitting it gently into her own schedule—a generous gesture that meant the world to us. While that kind of help can’t always be expected, her warmth and willingness to support us made our trip flow so smoothly. She also has a treasure trove of brochures and local guides for exploring every corner of Switzerland—ask for advice. And please, give Mordrid and Marilyn pats. They’re so sweet and we’ll miss them.

Tiny House is a magical place with a beautiful view, nature, birdsong.. poetry for the eyes and ears. The stay at Tiny House was perfect in every way. The communication with Shane was immediate, he explained everything from A to Z. We will definitely come back for a longer stay to enjoy the magic of this place. For us it was perfect. Thank you Shane!

Would HIGHLY recommend! This spot is truly a gem in such a beautiful area. The loft had everything we needed and the patio was incredible!

It was more than perfect and more than what I expected! Everything felt like home, meticulously organized, with clear instructions and modern amenities. The walk to the train station is 5 minutes and convenient. We had two big suitcases, and we felt no problem dragging them from the station to the apartment. The grocery store is right outside the station. From Interlaken OST station to Oberried station, it takes only 10 minutes. Great location, fantastic lake views, scenic, and close to the boat ride station. Everything was perfect and more than expected!

Our second trip to Switzerland and this was our first stop on the trip. We were blown away with the view! This place has it all. Views out of every window, radiant heat, hiking trails galore and everything you need for comfort. The duvets were like giant, soft puffy clouds! There is a restaurant literally right outside your door and nothing else but trails to different locations. Be mindful that the gondola to get here on runs from 8:30am-5-30pm so plan accordingly or you'll have a grueling 1.5-2 hour walk from the bottom. You cannot get here by car. We loved that part! Another pro tip - The 10 minute walk from the gondola to the cottage is a gravel road. We had to drag our suitcases to and from. It's uphill back to the gondola. But none of that will matter when you see the views from the gravel path and the living room window! This place is heaven on earth. Bettina was always quick to respond and super friendly. She made everything seamless! Book it!!

Jeniffer's place for us is all about the location. Its in a very pretty street, just meters from the lake and walkable to both the train stations (Brienz as well as Brienz West). There is also a supermarket few mins walk away and some restaurants. House is as described and was good for the 4 of us. Overall a nice place to stay in Brienz.
