Holiday rentals with a kayak in Strathcona

Mel and her hubby need that Airbnb to consider bumping their rating from 5 to 7 or even 10 stars. She was super attentive, a lifesaver since we got there two hours early and she welcomed us with open arms, even though the kids were wiped out from the drive. She kept checking on us knowing the kids were buzzing to explore. The jacuzzi was spotless, and the kitchen? Wow, fully stocked – she even had extra spices and sauces for forgetful folks! Seriously, best Airbnb experience in Canada so far, and we're hoping to go back soon.

The house is comfortable and beautifully decorated, with an amazing location to top it off. Barb was lovely to communicate with and was very responsive with any questions we had. Great for a girls weekend away or a family vacation, there is something for everyone. We will happily stay there again!

We had a fantastic time staying at Ryans airbnb. We loved the sauna, hot tub, and the gorgeous views. We hope to return again in the future.

We have stayed in many vacation rentals over the years. Gwen and Chris were by far the most helpful of any hosts we have had. Gwen gave us lots of ideas for activities and actually delivered fresh seafood for us several times. Chris transported their kayaks to a local lake for us (and came back to retrieve them later). They both went above above and beyond. We hope to return to this beautiful area, and we would definitely stay in this this home again.

Heather's place was really beautiful and exactly as pictured. The view is really wonderful and the house is quiet and relaxing. The beds were comfortable and the accommodations spacious. We made several meals and the kitchen was well stocked. We enjoyed the hot tub. The location was close to the water, a local cidery, and local hikes/walks.

It was an enchanting experience that lived up to all the beautiful photos on the listing . True BC West Coast experience. We will be back soon for sure.

Absolutely beautiful settling over looking the water. Private and quiet. Beds were very comfortable. Kitchen was nicely stocked. The only comment I would have is for the second shower upstairs to be finished. Would definitely come back. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

The cabin of your childhood dreams…sit back, relax, enjoy the lake and connect with family/friends. North Lake has fabulous swimming and almost no bugs. The cabin has a lovely view and lots of different areas to sleep. Lynne was a great host, very attentive and communicative. We had a lovely time, thanks Lynne.

A great spot on a quiet bay, perfect for relaxing, going for a paddle and exploring the many nearby attractions. An evening dip in the hot tub to cap it off makes for a wonderful stay.

We absolutely loved our stay at Michelle’s place! The surroundings were stunning, with a beautiful water view and a lovely garden that made the experience even more special. Michelle was an incredible host, very kind, responsive, and thoughtful. She went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable, even staying up late just to welcome us and ensure we had everything we needed. When we requested extra bakeware, she provided it right away. The home felt cozy and inviting, truly a home away from home. We highly recommend staying here!

We had a wonderful time at Quadra Island. Katerina and her husband were very welcoming and provided us with excellent tips. The lake is great and we did a lot of kayaking and paddling. Warm recommandation for this address.

It is a peaceful spot to discover all the gems of the Comox Valley. Gail's cottage is a short stroll to the beachfront and the area has numerous recreational opportunities including Cumberland's mountain biking mecca. The kitchen is well-equipped and the beds are comfy. We also found lounging in the yard after a long day on the bikes to be the perfect end to the day.

We stayed 3 nights in Colin's cabine. it was the last days of our honeymoon. It was absolutly perfect! We loved our stay. We loved the cabine. It’s not that rustic. The bed, the sheets, the towels, the dishes are new. The cabine is in between the woods and the sea. the view is spectacular. We saw many animals. It’s calm and lovely. The town and the restaurants are at 15 min by car. You can relax, walk, reflect and enjoy life. Last but not least, Colin is really nice, reactive and helpful. He seems to be a really good person. Scott’s review My partner and I picked the Oysterbeds/Laughing oyster to celebrate our honeymoon and we couldn’t have been happier with our choice. From the moment we arrived we were met with such a welcoming atmosphere and felt so comfortable. We booked an all inclusive special via the website and we ended up extending our stay because we enjoyed it so much. The owners Scott and Shannagh went above and beyond accommodating us with the different activities, times, food, and accommodations. The location has an amazing view looking out over okeover inlet and there’s plenty of oysters nearby to forage if the season is in. Would highly recommend staying for anyone looking for a BC all inclusive getaway and some rnr

Our cabin was cute and cozy. The beds were super comfortable and the everything was clean. The location and views are great, you can walk down to the marina to see the sunset and jellyfish. Perfect little getaway!

I loved how close the cabin is to walking trails, the beach, and the charming local town - everything felt just a short stroll or drive away. But truly, what made the experience exceptional were the hosts, Tammy and Michael. Their warmth, friendliness, and genuine hospitality made us feel not just welcomed, but like part of the family. Beautiful, modern cabins that were very well stocked, felt like luxury. Inside and out in the fire pit area, we had everything we needed and more. The hosts left extra touches that were very welcoming. Fairly quiet and peaceful area.

Myself and two of my team members stayed at Michael’s place April 23-26 and we had an absolutely wonderful time! The home itself is so cozy and warm with stunning views and surroundings. It was quiet and peaceful, well equipped and extremely clean! We spent our time hiking and exploring the area but the highlight of the trip was the sunset paddle we enjoyed in the kayaks. The only negative feedback I could share is that I found the beds extremely hard and uncomfortable but that may also be a matter of preference. All in all in was a fantastic stay and I would certainly recommend Michael’s place to anyone looking for a relaxing or adventurous getaway with friends or family!!
