Monthly Rentals in Summerhaven

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Darby's upper cabin. It is at the very end of a curvy road and so feels quite secluded, surrounded by lovely pine trees. There is a walking path a few hundred yards from the foot of the driveway. The porch (there are 2) by the entrance looks that way so all you see is forest and the occasional parked car for the trail. The cabin is cozy and rustic; somewhere you can relax and feel at home. The skylights over the bed allow you to see the stars before you sleep and provide lovely warmth in the daytime. The bed linens had a nice feel and there are masses of blankets and extra pillows. The kitchen is fully functional and stocked with all necessary kitchen implements. The couch is comfy. The windows can be opened to provide a lovely breeze throughout the entire cabin. Darby's instructions were perfectly clear. You can walk (downhill slightly) to the main street of Summerhaven and drive to the ski lift. We would definitely stay here again!

The cabin was perfect for us and the 3 kids. We loved the pool table and board games. The grill was nice too. Beds were very comfortable! Joann was an excellent host, very responsive! We’d love to stay again!

Irene's cabin is absolutely beautiful and she is a very friendly host! It was just the two of us on this trip, but I feel that even with all of the rooms occupied there would be plenty of space for everyone to spread out. The two porches give you great options for relaxing with your morning coffee, and the open kitchen and living area is a great space to end the day. There are lots of screened windows available to let the cool mountain air flow through the cabin. The driveway is a little narrow and steep; not a knock against the cabin (it is on a mountain!), but something to keep in mind when booking. It was great having access to a nice clean garage!

The cabin was gorgeous, clean and welcoming with thoughtful little extras and amenities. Would stay again. The hack we figured out to get up the last non-maintained stretch of road was to drive the car backwards - our Ford Edge made it up the driveway only in reverse, due to the front wheels “pushing” rather than than “pulling” the car!
