Holiday rentals with a kayak in Sumter County

What a great place. As an airbnb host myself, I’m picky about my stays. Laurie communicated well from the moment we inquired about pets and made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. Even made sure we had access to bikes and kayaks. Beds were comfortable, kitchen was well appointed and the screened back porch was a great place to enjoy a cup of coffee or an afternoon cocktail. At times it was so quiet we could hear the bees buzzing outside the screen. We even enjoyed daily visits from a hummingbird. Huge laundry/storage space gave extra room to store coolers and other bulky travel items. Plenty of towels too. An all around great location. It’s our second time staying in Floral City and there are two places we always stop- Sleepy Hollow (only 1/2 mile away with great shrimp from the food truck- beer, wine and seltzers only) and the Side Bar (downtown Inverness- short drive, full bar, great staff and delicious pizza.) We’ll be back!

2nd time staying and still a charm! We couldn't wait to get back. This is a very clean and spacious home. We enjoyed sunsets on the lake and the wonderful climate controlled back porch. Thank you Elaine for being such a great host. We hope we are fortunate enough to return.

If you are looking for privacy with peace and quiet this is a great spot! This property is on a dead-end street on a canal. I will say part my intent was to make use of the kayaks however we were just not comfortable getting out on the river after seeing some baby alligators. However, we still enjoyed the property very much and loved all the board games.

What a fun and flexible space. The four separate bedrooms made it so we could comfortably get together with relatives and have fun together in common spaces and then also have privacy while sleeping

Visiting this place feels like stepping into my grandparents' cozy cabin. It has all the nostalgic comforts you'd hope for, with a serene river flowing just behind it, inviting adventures with kayaks awaiting by the water’s edge. Bicycles are ready for exploration on scenic trails, while the fire pit beckons for evening gatherings under the stars. The spacious kitchen is perfect for whipping up family meals, and the plush lazy boy seats offer a perfect spot to unwind after a long day. With comfortable beds that promise restful nights, this retreat truly has everything one could wish for!

I loved my time at this farm Airbnb. The location was beautiful and calm, and the accommodations were clean and cozy. The host was incredibly kind and went out of their way to make me feel welcome. Highly recommend for a relaxing getaway!

Mig and Jimmy’s place was perfect for our extended stay in Inverness. It was spotlessly clean with a very well-stocked kitchen in a great location, right on the canal. The yard is large and private, and the home is conveniently located to downtown. restaurants and events. The house is decorated very nicely, and the beds were really comfortable. I would highly recommend this home.

Patty was great! The house had everything you could need and more, everything in the kitchen was well labeled and the house was extremely large and functional. We were there for a funeral service, as it was not a vacation so our experience was a little bit more limited. Patty was wonderful and extremely helpful, pleasant and responsive to any questions/issues that we encountered.

I booked Christine’s place for me and my friend to unplug from our busy lives for a couple of days. The beautiful lake, abundant wildlife, peaceful back porch and easy kayak launch were all we needed to recharge. We would love to visit again!

We are so happy we chose Dardens cabin as our spot to reset and relax. We work a lot and rarely get a chance to take time for ourselves and we were definitely due. My favorite part was being able to sit in the screened in patio, read a book and enjoy the beautiful nature outside while my boyfriend cooked on the grill. This place did exactly what we needed it to do and would definitely come back again.

Great little cabin in a peaceful community.

The cabin is beautiful! very comfy beds, my cabin was right on the water. We used the canoes and Kayaks. We love Playing pool, Doing puzzles, Ping pong, Watching videos on the large t v screen. It was such a good time spending it with loved ones.

It was a beautiful place to stay. Perfect place to disconnect your self from everything. We love our stay!!! The cabin was just perfect for the 3 of us. Love the River and the screened porch.

Cute little cabin close to town. It's a beautiful location right on the Withlacoochie River. Definitely a favorite of ours. The host is very nice and helpful!

What a magical little hidden gem! The hosts are super welcoming and made us feel right at home. I felt like I was friends with Jessica the manager by the time we left lol. They had these awesome (and affordable!) electric boats we rented for the day and explored the river by the resort. This place is super pet friendly too! The doggo loved waking around the resort and hanging on the boat with us. I’m already planning my next weekend getaway to this place.

Carrie was a great host and the gentleman that showed us our cabin and checked on us occasionally at the beginning and end of our stay. Sweet group of people and a nice place on the water. Will probably come again.
