Holiday rentals with lake access in Sumter County

Joanna's place was incredibly clean, modest, and matched the photos exactly. It was notably personable on the inside and did not reek of the normal (cheap) mass produced airbnb sites that most of us are accustom to. The surrounding area was peaceful dare I say tranquil. We got to see her cows and there are a dozen cats roaming around the neighborhood who are all very friendly. The most notable and important comment is that check in was seamless and easy. We accidently arrived incredibly late (around 2:00am) and had no issue accessing the property. Joanna was very responsive, most times within minutes to answer questions or give recommendations. The town did seem a little quite and closed down kind of early, but we do recommend the nearby wine bar called Twysted Vine, they always have something going on Thursday-Sunday.

What a great place. As an airbnb host myself, I’m picky about my stays. Laurie communicated well from the moment we inquired about pets and made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. Even made sure we had access to bikes and kayaks. Beds were comfortable, kitchen was well appointed and the screened back porch was a great place to enjoy a cup of coffee or an afternoon cocktail. At times it was so quiet we could hear the bees buzzing outside the screen. We even enjoyed daily visits from a hummingbird. Huge laundry/storage space gave extra room to store coolers and other bulky travel items. Plenty of towels too. An all around great location. It’s our second time staying in Floral City and there are two places we always stop- Sleepy Hollow (only 1/2 mile away with great shrimp from the food truck- beer, wine and seltzers only) and the Side Bar (downtown Inverness- short drive, full bar, great staff and delicious pizza.) We’ll be back!

What an amazing home and property! Everything was exactly as described and we instantly felt at home. The location of the property on the canal and lake leads to stunning views and an amazing connection to nature. The "spool" was perfect for relaxation and we were definitely refreshed in the heat of the day. Valerie is an incredible host, making sure we had every bit of information we needed prior check in, and was always available for questions. When I'm looking for another vacation for total relaxation and peace, I will absolutely be back. I can't recommend this property or host enough!

A perfect little piece of paradise! Super clean, spacious, and very comfortable! The kids loved fishing and seeing the deer across the canal. Would 100% book this great little place again!

We came down to The Villages looking for a retirement home. The house was everything we wanted and needed for our stay. They thought of everything… Just bring your bags, everything else is here. GREAT LOCATION, CONVENIENT TO EVERYTHING !!! Jeffrey & Becky K.

We loved this place and wished we could have spent more time there. It was a last minute booking and Kimberly answered the request right away. Beautiful property, out in the country but borders a preserve. Close enough to several small towns with great shopping and restaurants. Back porch is a great set up for cooking out, watching sports and hanging by a fire. Plenty of room for kids to play outside, fenced in and safe. We will absolutely go back and spend more time in the area.

Mig and Jimmy’s place was perfect for our extended stay in Inverness. It was spotlessly clean with a very well-stocked kitchen in a great location, right on the canal. The yard is large and private, and the home is conveniently located to downtown. restaurants and events. The house is decorated very nicely, and the beds were really comfortable. I would highly recommend this home.

The place is walkable from the bus station even at 2am. Very safe and well lit to get there. The golf cart was a plus and allowed us transportation to downtown without walking. Great breakfast places only a ride away. The bedrooms were roomy and clean. The living room was very clean and remotes for tv were self explanatory. The bathrooms had all soaps, shampoos and body soap. I was travels light for the weekend and this place had a hair dryer, magnifying mirror and clean towels. The back porch was cozy and I enjoyed a morning coffee with the chirping of birds and watching squirrels. This place was 6 minutes from my parents place and I would definitely recommend staying here. They even had coffee, coffee pot and creamer! There is a washer and dryer but we didn’t use it those considered it… lol Lori got our guest passes to use the facilities- ie the pool I would say the only thing missing is a map of the cart trails - I didn’t ask so I’m unsure if that is available!

Christi kirk the owner was absolutely amazing!!!! You will feel right at home she has a amazing property and takes beautiful care of her homes. The house sets on a beautiful lake and has a hot tub out on the deck. We can not wait to come back and visit

I booked Christine’s place for me and my friend to unplug from our busy lives for a couple of days. The beautiful lake, abundant wildlife, peaceful back porch and easy kayak launch were all we needed to recharge. We would love to visit again!

Coolest house I’ve ever stayed at! We had a great time and would love to come back!!!

Our 2nd one month stay at this lovely cottage. It's an excellent location on a channel to access Lake Henderson. Perfect for bass fishing. The home is clean and comfortable. It's spacious and was perfect for 2 couples. The kitchen is organized and well stocked . We enjoyed the patio, particularly the newly installed gazebo which provided shade during sunny days. The view from the patio is relaxing and perfect for sunrises. Home is located in a very quiet neighborhood. It's an easy 3 mile ride down 44 sidewalk to get to the Withlachoochee Bike Trail. Spent many hours fishing. Every Monday we'd make the the 45 minute drive to the Webster Flea Market (excellent stop for produce) then stop for lunch at Big Bass Grill on Lake Panasoffkee. Easy drive to Winn Dixie. Would absoulutely stay again,

what a charming place !!!! we absolutely loved our last minute stay here. Sitting at the dock watching gators and turtles was our favorite past time !

Peaceful, comfortable and very quiet. We had a most enjoyable stay. Five miles into Inverness with a plethora of dining options and two large grocery stores. House location on the water was relaxing. This place was great. Don’t hesitate to book.
