Monthly Rentals in Svatsum

One of the nicest places to spend days! With perfect weather, you have something to rest your eyes on wherever you turn your head! Good beds, duvets, and pillows! And well with fresh and good water under 1m from the house wall. Efficient furnaces make you never miss either water or electricity.

This was a wonderful place to stay. An authentically historic home with the beauty of old wood, the original large pine table and working old hearth. Yet it had all the comforts we expect and was spotlessly clean. There were several additional historic buildings on the large working farm. The view from the dining table and either porch is breathtaking. Best for us was Inga’s exceptional friendliness and the invaluable help she gave us in tracking down information on local family heritage. A reminder to bring your own shower toiletries. Exceptional place to stay!

We booked the property in February - for ice fishing and skiing. The place was very clean and cozy, nothing was missing. We found the fireplace particularly cozy in the evening. The house is authentically lovingly decorated in Scandinavian style and has great views of the lake and the mountains from almost every window! Very nice location directly on the lake. Perfect for skiing as several trails are available almost from the front door. The homeowners welcomed us in a very friendly way, gave many valuable tips on activities and were quickly available for questions. We would love to come back!

Lisebu with Lise and Harald as hosts stand out in several ways. The houses, interiors and fixtures are exciting and give insight into local history and old building customs. Bathroom/laundry room on the other side of the courtyard gives the same impression. The lack of running water strengthens the experience and the solutions are practical inside the house. The surroundings show some of the best Gausdal has to offer nature and impressions, providing various hiking opportunities nearby. Lise and Harald are pleasant and helpful. We will be back :-).
