Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Swain County

Not our first time here. We love the location and our dog loves the quiet. The hiking is easy to get to. We will continue to make this a preferred location to stay when in Cherokee. Can't wait to come back in December.

My husband and I loved this spot. Our dogs did too. The house was in a gorgeous setting in the woods with huge windows that we found very peaceful. Super close to town but far enough out to feel private. The house is older but in a good way. Well constructed and has a beautiful yard. Highly recommended!

The most stunning views in the smokeys, definitely will come back, great fire pit and outdoor spa, also parking is very accommodating for multiple cars or motorcycles.

Our family of 4 and one fur baby had a great stay here! We were in Sylva to celebrate Father’s Day with our daughter’s future in laws who traveled from Atlanta. Carmela’s home provides a kitchen with EVERYTHING you could need to cook meals and the deck was perfect for the evenings! Carmela has thought of everything a guest could possibly need….. s’more fixings for the fire pit, a pack and play and high chair (if needed), dog towels and bowls, cozy blankets, and extra personal accessories if you forgot something. The home was very clean as well! We would stay here again if we need to stay in Sylva.

We have stayed at Mark's place 3 different times. It is our favorite getaway. I love the kitchen, record player, fireplace, view and hot tub. The cherry on top is that it is pet friendly. Hope to come back again.

The location was peaceful and the view of the river was outstanding. Everything was as described, clean & easily accessible. Will definitely stay there again in the future.

I was in Townsend for a week and this place was perfect and exactly as pictured. It was super clean and the hot tub was a nice treat. Like others have mentioned the driveway was a tad steep in places. I have a 2 wd jeep and slipped a bit but was never worried I wasn’t going to make it. Since I was there for a week, I cooked a lot and I’d say the cookwear was a little limited. It wasn’t a problem because I ended up grilling but just something to be aware of if you are doing a longer stay. The location of this place is also amazing. It’s tucked away from a lot of main rentals and it’s 5 minutes to town and 15 from the Smokey park entrance. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Elizabeths Cabin was the perfect place for our family to meet & spend time together. We came from opposite sides of the country & this cabin felt like home to all of us. It was pristinely clean, well appointed, spacious & cozy, all at the same time. There were plenty of places to gather, either of the game rooms, what we referred to as 'the morning coffee porch', & the large kitchen/dining/living room area. We also all spent time on each of the private porches, as well as the large wrap around porch & in the wonderful, clean hot tub. My husband & myself stay in this particular neighborhood each time we're in the area, & this has been one of our favorite stays. Each of us having our own bathroom was a nice feature. The kitchen & bathrooms were all well appointed as well. Elizabeth was wonderful about communicating with us & made some wonderful recommendations for local places. One of our favorite things was watching the bears. We're already talking about meeting here again next year.

Amazing stay in the Smokies! We stayed here while driving with our doggo from NYC to Alabama as part of a big move. The cabin was private while being easy to find and the front porch was worth every penny. All of the comforts of home! This area may become our new Lake George (iykyk) and would love to come back to stay right in this cabin. Thank you!

Cale communicated everything clearly, responded back quick when I had a question, and was incredibly friendly. The cabin is absolutely gorgeous. They had everything my family needed to enjoy our visit. Would fully recommend to anyone wanting to get away.

Honestly, don't usually do the review thing. But, with this property I had to. WOW is all I can say. if your looking for a peaceful mountain vacation or long weekend this is the place. There are no pictures that can justify the actual mountain views. The cabin itself was extremely clean and well stocked. The beds were comfortable. The peace of mind to let the dogs out in the fenced yard or porch is a huge plus! Jo, was an excellent host, always quick to reply. Even when we decided to add an extra night in the middle of our trip. Cannot recommend this property enough!!!

We loved this beautiful cozy cabin and highly recommend it! It’s in a perfect location very close to everything you need in Townsend and the park as well as being secluded and quiet. Polite and prompt communication from the host.

My family and I enjoyed our stay. The views from the house are incredible. It is very peaceful. The place was clean. Nina was very helpful and responsive when needed. We used the pool and hot tub, which was a short walk down the driveway. I highly recommend this place if you’re visiting the area!

Nancy made us feel welcome from the start! She was so prepared for any question that I asked and made me feel that I was more than a guest - I was a new friend. Hoping to revisit with more family - the home and location are beautiful!

The perfect place for a weekend getaway!! It’s close to all the restaurants and activities Townsend has to offer, as well as being minutes from the park. We’ll definitely be back!

Great stay! The RV is spacious and was equipped with all of the essentials plus some (they even supplied a dog bed and food/water dishes). While the property is shared with the host, it is private and quiet. No issues during my 3-night stay and Phillip was quick to respond to questions. Casino with amazing restaurants is less than a mile away and downtown Cherokee is perfect for walking, shopping and dining. I would absolutely stay again if/when I’m back in the Cherokee area!

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful mountain cabin! The house was even better than the pictures — spotlessly clean, thoughtfully arranged, and very cozy. The view from the property is absolutely breathtaking — better than most scenic overlooks in the national park. The main bedroom was especially comfortable, and we loved spending time on the porch just soaking in the mountain views. The place was also stocked with tons of fun board games and a great pool table, which made our evenings extra enjoyable. We were truly impressed and would love to come back again. But the absolute highlight of this place is the view — it’s simply unforgettable.

Absolutely lovely home with a wonderful creek right beside the home! We so enjoyed our weeks stay! Plenty of amenities provided, house was clean and in good order, everything you would need to start was provided, great communication and such a beautiful peaceful creek! Absolutely beautiful! Just a warning that this cabin will raise your expectations for every other stay afterwards. Michael thought of everything that you might need during your stay and then exceeds those expectations. The whole home is just perfectly beautiful and perfectly decorated. The kitchen is amazingly well stocked beyond just the essentials, including spices, cooking utensils, teas, coffees, pots/pans, etc. The beds are delightfully comfortable. And the view... the view from the living room and the front porch is just beautiful. You will not be disappointed if you book this cabin. Just do it! I hope to revisit in the future.

Absolutely beautiful, and peaceful get away! 20 mins from Cherokee and about an hour from Gatlinburg. So quiet and the sound of the rushing river is SO peaceful! Beautifully decorated space and we felt right at home! The hosts had children’s bedtime books, Dog toys and a dog bed for guest traveling with kids or animals and the kitchen was fully equipped with a small spice cabinet and plenty of pots and pans. The ONLY half way complain I have (not even really a complaint) the door is just a little tricky and we had to type to code in a couple times for it to work. Overall, we would absolutely stay here again and had a wonderful stay!

Me and my boyfriend loved this house, it's close to town, right on the river, and perfect for 2, the house was very clean and the host left a ton of recommendations for things to do, we absolutely loved this house and definitely recommend it.

My family and I found our way to Darrell's place because we had to relocate for the last couple of days of our vacation from another rental that was having plumbing issues. Darrell was so kind and generous to us in this situation. My family agreed we were happy for the inconvenience that led us to this house. The views, the porch, the natural light flooding the home... it was all so good. And the location was perfect for our plans.

The cabin is in a peaceful, secluded location. There are neighbors around, but it is hard to tell for the most part. The road to get up to the place i could see as challenging in certain weather or vehicles, but the directions are very descriptive and on point. We were able to enjoy the Great Smoky Mountain National Park, the city of Cherokee, Bryson city, and Maggie Valley, as well as go searching for waterfalls near Highland. The area is beautiful no matter which direction you go! Most favorite restaurants during the trip was Highlands Smokehouse in Highlands for some amazing brisket and Circle H Chophouse in Cherokee, NC--bonus points for this one due to watching elk walk right by the windows while dining! Overall, it was a great place to stay. The host is super responsive with any questions or concerns and active in ensuring that you have a great experience!
