Really a highlight of our whole trip, such a glorious outlook to the fields & across to the ocean. So conveniently located to where we wanted to go on the Mainland. So peaceful & comfortable.

Peaceful cottage right by the sea in Birsay, a lovely part of Mainland. Comfortable accommodation, well stocked kitchen, lovely garden. Great little shop nearby and fabulous walk across the causeway to the Brough of Birsay.

It’s a stunning house in an unbeatable location. I can highly recommend it. The views from the conservatory are out of this world.

We were a party of 4 adults staying at Midhouse. On arrival the house was warm & cosy & local goodies had been left for us. Craig’s father Callum greeted us & ran through tips for the house & tide advice for visiting the Brough of Birsay where we were lucky enough to see Puffins. My husband likes to cook so appreciated the well equipped kitchen, we all enjoyed eating in the lovely dinning area. Midhouse had plenty of space,its clean, comfortable & welcoming,we would not hesitate to recommend, its location & views from the house are special & a great deal of time was spent in the conservatory being entertained by the 3 resident rams, the rabbits & birds & watching the water on the local Loch change with the weather. Huge thanks to Craig & his family for providing such a lovely base for visiting the many & varied places beautiful places Orkney has to offer,many happy memories have been made here.
