Casa do Rio Alva is a very special place with private access to the river! Our country house is located in the village of Secarias in the heart of the nature of central Portugal, 4 km from the village of Arganil and 55 km from the city of Coimbra. Exploring the Alva River from our home is a unique experience, where the following stand out: avocets, bees, kingfishers, crows, swallows, foxes, field mice, frogs, toads and snakes, numerous fish such as bass, bogas and carp, but also trout and eels.

The house was renovated at the end of 2021, respecting its original structure, using local materials and labor, and protecting the environment and the people of Loriga. The Stone House with an area of 19 m2, is located on the banks of the Alva River, on the river beach of Vimieiro, considered the best river beach, by the magazine "Guia das Praias Fluviais", The house has a bedroom, a fully equipped kitchen and a bathroom. Surrounded by a unique landscape, you can observe the irrigation wheel and the mill still in operation. The picnic area with barbecue and playground are also an attraction for those who visit us. Ideal place for a weekend for two.
