Farmstay holiday rentals in Taupo District

The place is very relaxing and peaceful. The journey there was quite a long one coming from Auckland on a raining day does not help. The house is very clean and spotless which is comforting. Even though there is no mobile coverage, there is a very good WiFi for me to beam projector to the wall for movies. It was a great experience overall.

What a beautiful spot! We loved being in such a peaceful location, just a short walk from being able to swim in the lake. Lovely's place had everything we need, including a nice outdoor area - perfect for storing bikes and drying swimming gear! Lovely was a dream to communicate with and went out of her way to make our stay great. We can't recommend staying here highly enough!

Ruru Lodge is a fabulous retreat in lush gardens, amazing views up the hill in Kinloch. We took over the whole family wing and found it extremely comfortable, warm and tastefully decorated. Our 'honeymoon' suite had its own bath and shower (in tub) and double sink with beautiful garden views, very comfortable bed and large space (my sister did yoga). We made the kost of the spa with a view to the bay in the distance. We woke up to the sound of native birds which was awesome! Renee is such a thoughtful and caring host - it's like going home to mum. Our breakfast was fresh and abundant: cereal, fruit yogurt, croisants or hot cross buns, juice, tea/coffee. On our last day Renee packed us delicious food for the road. We highly recommend Ruru Lodge and staying with its owners Renee and Ian

This spot was perfect for my partner and I as we were taking part in a sporting event in the South Waikato. It had everything we needed, was perfectly comfortable and cosy and we were even greeted by a lovely friendly doggo :) The host was responsive and helpful and had even made sure the cottage was toasty and warm when we got there as we were arriving quite late in the evening. We're likely to do the same event next year so we'll probably be back to stay here then, if we can!

Absolutely loved our stay at Shepards cabin, made to feel right at home. Enjoyed feeding the animals and watching the sunset on the hill.

This place is amazing if anyone looking for a holiday. Catherine was so kind checking on us and was so welcoming. The view and the atmosphere is stunning with fire places - hot tub is the highlight. Indoor area is very tidy and clean too! This place is accessible to Taupo and nearby spa. I am highly recommending 100% this place if anyone looking for a holiday away from busy Auckland😊

The Cottage was outstanding, it was everything it said it would be and more. It was comfy, private and quiet. It had everything we needed and more. The bed was delightful, we slept wonderfully. The linen was quality and clean. The couch was comfy and perfect for snuggling and watching a movie. Maura was easy to contact and super helpful. We’re so great we spent our first weekend child free at the Cottage, it was perfect. We look forward to coming back.

Very Peaceful and warm. I found Wendys place on airbnb. It was first time using. The reviews helped me and partner decide to stay there. I had a few questions before deciding Wendy was very helpful with those. The weather wasnt the greatest, raining and drizzly all day. We arrived wet, cold and hungry. They were understanding, friendly showed us to room with ensuite. And provided info on where we could get food and the directions. We had some great conversations.

This is a great house for a family to stay in. The central heating, fireplace, and heaters ensure that your stay will be warm and toasty on those chilly wintery days. We would stay here again!
