Holiday houses in Temenia

Loukia and Nikos, the owners of the house, were perfect hosts: welcome in person, very kind, effective communication during the stay, recommendation of restaurants and beaches, and kitchen side many small touches to welcome us. They even offered to provide games for our son who was traveling with us. The agency that manages the house was also very responsive to each of our requests and helped us with the rental of our car. The house, the outside and the view are beautiful! We highly recommend this rental (and its owners)!

This is one of those places you'll never forget. Wow wow wow! The view is really amazing; in the green, among the rocks overlooking the sea. There is no one around and you really have a cottage to yourself and that on a very nice piece of Crete. It is smart to do groceries on the way out (in the kitchen you will find everything for cooking and there is a barbecue), because a large supermarket is almost half an hour away and the tavern in the village is top for during the day, but in the evening you don't want to take that dark route on loose stones (that road takes some getting used to, but to do). Are you looking for a few days to check out completely? Then this is really the place! We will definitely come back!

I was with two friends at Despina's place. Maria, who lives nearby, welcomed us nicely. The location is great and the views breathtaking. You'll feel right at home in no time. The surroundings also offer a lot. Although you are dependent on a car, you can be in Sougia within 10 minutes and enjoy the small town. Everything in one just great and I think I'll come back!

This place is absolutely amazing. My wife and I spent our honeymoon at Aikaterinis apartment and we were completely satisfied. The inside provides everything what we needed. The description was absolutely accurate. The fridge is very spacious and there is a freezer as well. We cooked quite a lot therefore this was very helpful for us. The pool outside is very clean and also the temperature was perfect for the hot days in Greece. You can really relax at this place because there is not a lot of tourism at this area on Crete. Also the beach in front of the house is quite nice. We put our hammock under some trees and were watching the sunrise over Paleochora. I can totally recommend this apartment, especially for couples who want some relaxing time and together.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Fanis' place. We particularly appreciated the fly screens on the windows to keep out the midges. There is air-conditioning in the main area & one of the bedrooms, plus a fan in the other bedroom. We were really comfortable & the place is close to some lovely walks and beaches. Thanks Fanis for having us!

Uniquely beautiful, charming tiny house, wonderfully located between carob and olive trees, beautiful terrace with plenty of shade and seating and lounging options (as described and shown in the photos). The very friendly landlords live in the immediate vicinity (see photo 3). Thanks also to the very nice service staff Vicky, who changed the laundry in between! The proximity to Loutraki Bay is fantastic, the water there is crystal clear and wonderful for swimming. Interesting for future guests: the tavern praised in other reviews is currently (June 2025) closed, very close to an air force base, so occasionally jet planes fly - even at night. Overall recommended!

Great accommodation with spectacular views - communication, check in, stay were super easy! Around it, there are some people who can look out over the outdoor area, which did not bother us because of the few people who were there at the time. The accommodation is surrounded by a great landscape, the E4 passes directly by the house. However, the routes to the hiking areas such as the White Mountain Reserve or the highest mountain of Crete are not less than 2 hours by car. We felt super comfortable overall and would come back :)

This was one of our favorite stays ever. The place and surroundings are even better in person. The hills and mountains, along with the peaceful quiet, are an enchanting respite. The hosts were very attentive as well, offering great advice and recommendations beforehand and throughout the stay. They were always helpful in answering questions. Aside from the surrounding scenery, the night offers a dense starry sky unlike any we’ve seen before. It was a relaxing way to end the day, to sit or lay down and enjoy the star gazing. As per location, it is very close to Paleochora, the adjacent town, being only less than ten minutes away by car. With other beach options being 15 minutes way. You can also pick some oranges from the trees a short walk downhill, which we enjoyed in the mornings with a freshly squeezed orange juice. If you book the stay, please give a petting to the cats at the place: Otto, Vilma, and Moscata. They made the place even more homey and special. :) HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!
