Comfortably furnished, individual cave dwelling - a very special living experience!
“Jörg and Amy's apartment is on their property located in a place called Cuevas d'Almanzora. I received by Whatsapp the plan to get to their place. The welcome was warm and despite the language barrier communication was always present. Amy gives information on places to visit as well as current events. It is a quiet and remote place conducive to healing. Their garden is a happiness that Amy pampers with love. The cave apartment offers all the necessary comfort and their kitchen is well equipped. Amy and Jörg have two dogs and four cats who are affectionate by nature. I had a very good stay there. Recommend for lovers of nature and calm.”
Villaricos is what one can consider as a small tourist village from June to October with an average temperature of 28 °. Very quiet area except in mid-August for the dream-beach (techno concert in Palomares on the beach at 1 km). If necessary, I can make lunch and - or dinner for a contribution as well as I can pick you up at the airport or at the arrival station if you do not want to rent a car. On Sundays, there is the market with fresh produce.
“Francois is a very understanding and considerate person. Unfortunately I missed my flight and couldn't stay on the dates that I booked to stay at Francois's place. I have changed my dates to September and I am looking forward to then staying at Francois's place. Francois is excellent at communicating with you”
Casa Isadora is a quirky artist's cave house, off the beaten track, but just 6km from the sea. It is secluded and tranquil, in a rural setting. Cut from the side of the hill, it is a real slice of Andalusian history. Beautiful arched cave rooms lead back to tranquil bedrooms. The cave comfortably sleeps 4 in 2 bedrooms, with king size beds (1 with an en-suite), there is also a large sofa bed in a communal area. A sofa in the sitting room may be made for a guest on request.
“We had a wonderful time in Andalusia and throughly enjoyed our stay at the beautiful Casa Isadora cave house. It was the perfect location, well equipped, peaceful and cosy! We loved going to the near by beaches during the day, especially La Higuerica and Playa Carolina as well as spending time relaxing in the cave house, cooking dinner on the BBQ and enjoying a glass of Spanish wine in the evening whilst watching the sunset. Morag is an excellent host, friendly and attentive. She quickly organised for the grapes to be removed from the vine above the terrace seating area as this was attracting several drunk wasps. The only downside for us was the many flies that roam during the day in summer due to its rural location, as a result we were only able to use the outside space during dusk / evening. The architecture and interior of the cave house is stunning and the surrounding views are amazing. We would loved to have stayed longer and explore more of the area so it’s a good excuse to come back :-)”
