Texas Wine Country Hilltop Glamping an Adventure a

ChloeRating, 5 stars55 months ago
An amazing piece of heaven. Peaceful, great views, stunning tents, private, great for social distancing with friends or family. Very well appointed and thought out. Definitely our favorite glamping site yet! And so many wineries, distilleries, brewers and cider houses to enjoy nearby. Take the drive through Pedernales State Park if you're coming from Austin to get into the mood. Thanks Jan and Cianna.

Yurt #1 with A/C + Fire Pit, NEW Discounted Rates

UdayanRating, 5 stars25 months ago
The location is just as described. The yurt was pretty comfortable thanks to the fans and air conditioning. The kitchen was stocked and even grilling material was aplenty. There were smore sticks as well. Bathrooms are spacious and clean. Nearby, there is great Texan bbq and horse riding. Highly recommend.

Fabulous views, lovely toilets and shower and close to the National and State parks just above the Terilingua Ghost town. A Great option for camping. Marc was a great help sorting out which of his spots was best for our mix of a car and 2 solo tents.

Living Rock Campsite #2

MistyRating, 5 stars3 months ago
The camping grounds are just outside of downtown on the hill overlooking the sunset in the evenings. At night it can get extremely windy. The bathrooms are very tidy and convenient. The land is well kept and the host, Marc is very helpful and friendly. I would love to return to this spot again in the future.

Yurt #2 with A/C + Fire Pit, NEW Discounted Rates

ColinRating, 5 stars37 months ago
We had a blast at Green Acres! We happened to be the only people there and had it all to ourselves! This was our first time glamping and even in with temperatures in the mid 90s - the shade and the yurt were still cool enough to enjoy, and the yurt got down right nice and cold at night! We wondered into town for some breakfast, and again later for some BBQ but couldn't help but just fully relax out at the camp site. We cant imagine a better escape/unplug and recharge. We were immersed in nature, and even if it were a busy weekend, the way the sites are set up feel individual and private/secluded. Everything was clean and set up/ready to go. We cant wait to return for our next get away.

Hill Country Gypsy Outpost Glamping Tent

ShannonRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We really like the spot! It is a remote spot in the beautiful hill country of San Marcos. We arrived at night so it was a little difficult to navigate to the tent but overall doable. We liked the off the grid feel and was perfect for the night for us ( fyi to other guests that there is no electricity or hot water). We had a campfire and relaxed under the stars!

Private family friendly getaway near Big Bend

StephRating, 5 stars2 months ago
We were two couples travelling with a 1 yo and a 2 yo. Group consensus is that this was a great AirBnB experience. The sleeping tents were both set up well with comfortable mattresses, rugs, and nice wooden furnishings. The tents were clean and stayed relatively cool in the desert heat (while also being outfitted with propane heaters). The kitchen tent was also very clean and everything we needed was provided to cook and to bbq on the charcoal grill. The outdoor seating areas were beautiful and comfortable. As far as outhouses go, this was a really nice one. We also made use of the shared shower area; it was very well built. Overall we felt like the hosts really put a lot of thought into what would make a comfortable stay for guests. Touches like Big Bend hiking guides, daily cleaning, and very prompt responses really made this a 5 star stay. We will be recommending this property and hope to return ourselves.

I booked last minute the day before, so I felt lucky to find it, but on arrival, it was truly beyond my expectations. Such a beautiful, peaceful setting. If you are looking for a romantic, luxurious ‘safari-like’ vibe next to an awesome state park, this is IT. If it’s under 40*f, be prepared for a cold, standup, outdoor shower with indoor tub/handheld shower only-great water pressure. Helpful to be knowledgeable re: Yurt function/closure in case of inclement weather/temp. Superb quality robe (1) /towels/linens- bring your own washcloth. I couldn’t find one, but maybe just missed it. Compressed towels were super cute. We slept so well in the uber comfortable bed. The outside sitting area is perfect for star gazing and relaxing with a glass of wine. Love the string lights. This is a clean, well maintained property, we felt right at home, and the friendliest town ever is only 12-15 mins away. Pedernales park is across the street-yay! I highly recommend staying AT LEAST 2 nights minimum.

Site #5 Vista De Las Montañas

MasonRating, 5 stars3 months ago
Tiffany was awesome. She let me change my reservation last minute due to dangerous winds and she was super friendly. With this spot, you get what you pay for. But compared to other sites, this is a great deal because of the outhouse, trashcan and wifi (despite having to travel for it). Other locations in the same price range will not have those extra amenities. Overall I would recommend Tiffany’s campsites.

Great spot for stargazing. Stayed early March so the night was extremely cold. Bring warm clothes and extra blankets to sleep. The views of the mountains on the horizon and the sunrise / sunset was incredible.

Tree Line Vista at Estes Preserve

DeborahRating, 5 stars8 months ago
The Treeline Vista is perfect for a restful personal renewal or a fun family weekend. The trails are varied in woods, prairies and sun and shade. Deer are everywhere. It's fun to hear the coyotes yipping after dusk and the barn owls hooting. Don't worry, the wildlife won't come near you. It's perfectly safe. The private bath house is wonderful for a hot shower after a day on the trails. They have a high-end composting toliet which is civilized enough for people afraid of "going in the woods" and is environmentally responsible. The fire pit is far enough away from the tent to keep it from smelling like smoke. Picnic table, lounge chairs, patio table and chairs + rocker outside. Two comfortable chairs, cozy bed and a double twin trundle bed, plus a chest of drawers full of goodies for the kids to explore nature. Also, large sink, plates, bowls and every kind of utensils are available for use. I just can't think of a better down to earth glamping experience than Estes Preserve.
