Cottage holiday rentals in The Bronx

Yaris’s place on Lake Hopatcong is beautiful! Lots of space, great kitchen, and the pool table is a great addition. Two kayaks outside, fire pit, and grill make for an awesome outdoor experience too.

The Chateau Renee was a great place to stay! From the scenic view from the back deck and hot tub, to the beautifully curated interior, our small group had an amazing time. We enjoyed some local restaurants in Greenwood Lake and over in Warwick, and were able to catch a broadway show in the city since we were only about an hour away. If you’re looking for a spot to stay anywhere in this area, you have found your Airbnb!

Peaceful surroundings, beautiful lake, wonderful house and amazing hosts! Had an absolute ball kayaking, fishing, and enjoying nature. This was my second trip and can’t wait to go back again.

We booked the house for five nights for a group of six adults and had a lovely visit. Gabriela was a fantastic host communicating super promptly to our questions. It rained 90% of the time so we used the interior of the house to the fullest, and not the exterior (no fire pit, bikes, or hot tub) so cannot comment on those features. All appliances worked well. Kitchen is helpfully labeled and well stocked with kitchenware. The beds were very comfortable, towels fluffy, and downstairs family/game room is a great space for all ages. Furniture was comfortable, dining table was welcoming and though the house shows a bit of wear and tear here and there, everything was clean, tidy, and decorated appealingly. Tip: Bellvale Market just 7” away had great quality food products; Warwick, a quaint larger town, is just 10-15” away providing all other conveniences.

Barbara was just wonderful! Very easy to reach and gave us all the valuable information we needed. The cottage was perfect and would definitely stay again!

The location of Kate's place is great for what I was looking for, access to hiking and waterside activity, she more than accommodated our stay with our pet. The interior space is more bare bones, but you can see personal effort was made to make it neat and pleasant. It is well equipped for sleeping and indoor/outdoor cooking, and the porch and its view are as gorgeous and pleasant to sit in as in the photos.

A great place for a weekend with friends. The views are immaculate, ideal if you love to watch a sunrise. The outdoor area is beautiful and accommodating all types of activities. Nice restaurants and stores nearby. Would definitely save this place for future trips.

Came down from South Carolina with wife and daughter, to spend time with our relatives for Christmas. what a beautiful home great place to stay. Will be back

The cottage is as pictured. Very clean with everything I needed. The area is beautiful for walking on the beach or the streets around the cottage. WiFi was strong throughout the cabin for working. Thanks Bert for your attention and listing this cottage.

I wish I could give 10 stars. Starting with the excellent communication for questions I had prior to booking, to the beautiful location and on to the cottage. The cottage is charming and located in a wonderful location close to restaurants, shops, etc but far enough away to be peaceful and private. The set up works so well; having 3 levels so guests can have privacy from each other if wanted. The yard is amazing; huge and completely fenced in (really nice for my dog) with large trees and bordered by 2 ponds surrounded by blooming flowers. The outdoor patio overlooking the yard is fantastic. Everything provided was of the highest quality (towels, bedding, coffee, TVs, beds, AC, etc) and they have thought of everything to make the stay perfect. I highly recommend this rental and would love to go back and stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay! The house was beautiful, clean, and well-stocked with everything we needed. The location was perfect, and the host was incredibly responsive and kind throughout the entire process. Everything from the amenities to the overall vibe of the place made it a great experience. I would definitely recommend this place—great stay, great host, and I would personally go back without hesitation.

This tiny, cozy space was exactly what we needed for an overnight place to relax and sleep, with a kitchen for us to make our coffee in the morning. We also felt we would have been quite comfortable there if we had needed to stay for a few days. The host was kind, responsive, friendly, respectful, and genuine. We will definitely stay here again. And the view! Gorgeous.

This was a return stay for us. We were here at Donna and Bill's cottage last year and will be for all our future trips up north. They are kind, friendly and we always feel very welcomed. We stayed in Marks’s Writer’s Cottage for five nights when visiting friends in Westchester. We recommend it without reservation. The location in Katonah is wonderful. We enjoyed taking walks through the neighborhood in the mornings and checking out all the interesting Victorian houses. We also appreciated being able to eat at the local restaurants (Blue Dolphin ) and cafes (LMNOP) in walking distance. Multiple markets are also a walk away. It was also a great base for visiting Northern Westchester where there aren’t many options for longer stays. We’d been planning to stay in hotels near Tarrytown before finding Mark’s place; being in Katonah made our trip much more special. The house was great. It definitely feels like a cottage out in the woods even with the main house across the backyard. We enjoyed the privacy and space after a long urban trip, appreciated the well-stocked kitchen, and writing and sitting space. We might have appreciated a sofa downstairs for lounging.

It was great! Better than expected and I would have stayed longer if possible and would stay again if the opportunity comes up. Thank you!

We had a wonderful stay at AnnMarie’s place. The space was clean, comfortable, and perfect for a quick visit with my mom and boyfriend. The host was incredibly helpful and responsive throughout our stay, which made everything smooth and easy. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a quiet, well-kept place to stay in the area!

Chrystal was super responsive to all our questions and needs, and gave us a warm welcome when we checked in on our first day. The lovely cottage was fully furnished and had everything our small family needed. The neighborhood was quiet, safe, and perfect for walks. Getting to downtown NYC across the G.W. Bridge only took about 20-30 minutes, very convenient. We made wonderful memories during our 9-day stay!

KJ’s Happy Chalet is a clean, quirky petite space for anyone seeking a quiet weekend on a lake. While other properties are close by, it is situated in such a way to provide a far more private experience than a map would suggest. We were there on an unseasonably cool weekend at the end of May and enjoyed the nicely appointed chiminea next to the lake, the cozy fireplace in the living room, and the ample firewood provided. The property has a warm yet spare and happily quirky aesthetic. We enjoyed our time on the lake!

Barbara is a fantastic and welcoming host, and the cottage is really wonderful. The perfect spot for a winter weekend, I can't recommend Barbara's place highly enough!
