House holiday rentals in Thurmond

The Lily Pad was an amazing home away from home for our family of four. Downtown with great restaurants is walkable and it's a short drive to rafting, zip lining, etc. The place was exactly as described and we got a lot of use out of the sunporch and back deck with hot tub and pool. Eric and Landon are great hosts. One night, around 4am, one of the smoke detectors went off. We removed the battery and texted the hosts. We got an immediate response and Landon came over right away and dropped off a new battery AND ear protection. Couldn't ask for better hosts. Excellent stay!!

This is the perfect spot for a bachelor party weekend. We came out to do some white water rafting, so the location was perfect. The pool, hot tub, outdoor grill setup is top notch. Our only criticism is that the kitchen is a bit of a wreck with a ton of water leaking out of the fridge and a heck of a lot of mold growing under the sink. That doesn't bother 9 guys on a rafting trip, though. Absolutely would come back!

Amazing lodging with extra perks. Ashley and Bill were so attentive to every detail. Sitting in the Stearman bi-plane was an unforgettable experience, never to be forgotten! Looking forward to visiting again.

We had a wonderful stay! Everything was clean and cozy. We appreciated the extra cozy blankets provided and extra towels. The location was perfect and we were close to everything that we came up to do! Thank you also for the warm welcome & water & snacks. They really came in handy. Ashley and Bill’s Aviator Lounge is the PERFECT spot for a guys trip. The living space is laid out and decorated perfectly, the beds are pretty comfortable and the kitchen has everything one may need. The hot tub and pool are epic as advertised. The highlight of the trip is the World War Two biplane, piloted by Bill. Flying with Bill is a must do item while in Fayetteville. It’s an experience like no other, that left me smiling for days, to the point my face hurt. The space is six minutes from the gorge, and about 4 minutes from the restaurants in town. Ashley had some great recommendations for rafting guides and places to go in town. I cannot wait to go back.

We had a great stay at the NRG Poolhouse. Wonderful accommodation for a large group! Elissa was very helpful and responsive.

This place was perfect for what we needed. We were looking for a place to relax and unwind from a long day on the river. Even though this is a tiny home it was spacious, open and very inviting.

We stayed one night in Mellow Yellow on our way to NC. It was the perfect size for my 10 y/o and myself. We loved the 60’s decor! Beds were comfortable and everything was very clean! We would absolutely stay here again!

Traveling home from beach vacation, house is very convenient to highway. Highway noise is not an issue at all.

What a beautiful property! The views from this cabin are breathtaking, especially in the morning with the fog in the mountains. The cabin is incredibly cozy, rustic and eccentric. It has a personality all of its own and you can tell it is very well loved. Comfy beds and great water pressure in the shower. Everything felt and looked clean. The hosts were very responsive and we met Alan when he was tending to the chickens - he is so friendly and great for conversation! New River Gorge National Park and Fayetteville are within 15 minutes of this cabin, along with all the fun activities. I would highly recommend this cabin to anyone visiting this area. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Our stay at Kenny’s was amazing. Located in a quiet setting, the home was very clean, the beds were comfortable, and everything was well thought out. Kenny’s recommendations regarding restaurants and activities were spot on. We were very excited to find Celiac friendly places in Fayetteville—a bakery (Wylde Berry) and great GF Pizza (Pies & Pints). We will definitely plan to return to this gem!

Troy and Hilary’s place was in an awesome location, close to great restaurants, and the National Park. We only had to drive 10 minutes or less to the majority of the attractions that interested us. They were also super helpful with ideas of restaurants and things to do and responded immediately with any questions we had. The neighborhood was quiet and the house was comfortable and clean. Check in and check out was a breeze. All in all a great experience! Definitely recommend!

Myla was a spectacular host, always quick to respond and proactive with information and suggestions of things to do in the surrounding areas. The property was more than enough for my family and me, I would highly recommend any property she hosts!

We really enjoyed our stay here. Very private home and a great location to the National Park and state park. This home had every thing we needed. We especially loved that we could bring our pups with us. We would highly recommend this place for anyone!

Was in the New River Gorge area for a brief trip to do some rock climbing. Philip’s place was great! It was spotlessly clean and easy to access.

Such a serene beautiful setting. The geese, the 2nd floor view of the lake and trees and the separate spaces for my daughter and I made it a peaceful way to awaken into the spring day. Thank you for such a special experience!

We loved the location and the amenities of this house. It was super clean, beautifully decorated, and met all of our needs. Beds were comfortable. When it rained outside, we couldn't hear it inside. I would definitely stay again.

Cheryl’s place is in a beautiful setting in the hills of West Virginia. It is private and peaceful. My husband and I loved the tucked away location. It is near a historic town, state parks and the southern end of New River Gorge National Park in the Sandstone area. She was the most hospitable, attentive host I think I’ve ever had in spite of having fantastic past experiences with other hosts. She went out of her way to provide us with a welcoming feeling, leaving us farm fresh eggs as an example among others. Her attention to detail was exceptional. Her communication was fantastic. We could tell she really cared for us and wanted to create a wonderful stay. Her place was very clean and she left items for breakfast that aren’t usually provided. She respected our privacy, but in our communications we felt like a part of the family.

Kevin was very responsive and helpful leading up to and throughout the stay. The home was a nice little gem in Oak Hill and offered nice spaces to hang with a group of people both inside and outside. Would definitely stay here again when we're back in the area!

This was our second stay here and we love it! The house is decorated so cute, the beds are so comfy and cozy, and of course all the games and fire pit are always a huge hit! If you book to stay here, you will not be disappointed!

Great place to stay for a weekend. Location is in close proximity to the various adventure parks. Quiet neighborhood and nice backyard.
