Gilleleje Church was a waiting place for Jews until they could be transported. In 1943, 75 Jews were caught by the Gestapo on the church ceiling after a snitch had informed the Germans. Everywhere there are monuments of historical events. Every year there are various festivals in Gilleleje - "Hill" Festival, Harbour Festival, Jazz at the port and The Herring Day. Here you can take a good afternoon nap and sip coffee in the shade🌳🌞 The house is located at the end of a cul-de-sac in a quiet cottage neighborhood. The garden is a natural plot with old trees. The river runs along the garden. Follow it for a pleasant walk of about 900 m. - then you will be on Rågeleje's beautiful beach.

The house is refurnished, and everything is welcoming and delicious. What you hear when you open the Balcony-doors, is the sound of the waves and the wind in the trees. Relax with the whole family in this peaceful home. The house is on a scenic plot about 1000 meters from Udsholt Strand. Sleeps 4-5 adults and a small child. There is a nice atmosphere with high ceilings and large windows overlooking the garden with large old trees. The area has a nice wildlife and many birds. The house and grounds are child-friendly, outside with swing set, a small slide and a trampoline. No pets and no smoking allowed.
