Tanigawa mountain range, the hot spring town, and Yuzawa town. In winter, it is one of Japan's premier ski resorts. In spring, you can pick wild vegetables. In summer, you can enjoy tennis and climbing. In autumn, you can enjoy autumn foliage and all seasons. One of Japan's three largest rock formations, Tanigawa Mt. Ichinokura Rock Climbing Trailhead, and the rear station of Doi Station (the next station beyond the tunnel) have long been home to mountaineers. This is a lovely private lodging with the backdrop of the protagonist of the novel "Snow Country", Shimamura, who met Komako in a downhill inn (of course, this is the story of the novel). In 2022, the owner started playing alone due to the coronavirus pandemic, and the unit treehouse was completed as the first Japanese tree-tree meetup building in the mountains.　　The open-air bath and sauna on the trees are the first in Japan to attract the first attempt and attention in the world.

Two Bedroom Suite With Private Bathroom

We are a family run mountain lodge in a beautiful, isolated location. The lodge is in a national park, riverside, at the base of mountains towering 1300m above. Hiking trails start at the front door, swimming in the river during Summer is deliciously refreshing. See the seasons changing in Autumn on a walk to Ichinokura (2 hours round trip) or Tanigawadake Ropeway (10 mins walk) or climb Mt Tanigawa from the base. The snow in Winter is of excellent quality and plentiful.
