In front of our house, which is sandwiched between the Hida-Buri Highway that connects the former Toyama and Takayama, there are the Nissho-bu Mingei Kan and the Yoshima residence, which are important cultural properties that show the rich cultural assets of Japan, and this area is designated as a preservation district for traditional buildings. You can enjoy the old town and beautiful scenery while experiencing historic buildings. It is a 2-minute walk to Miyagawa Morning Market and a 5-minute walk to Sakurayama Hachimangu Shrine, the site of the autumn Takayama Festival. Noto cottage "Hinoki no ie" is a wooden house with Onsen (Hot spring). Surrounded by the nature of the Noto area, it's located right in-between of Kanazawa and Oku-Noto (about 1 hour by car which is recommended) making it convenient for sightseeing. You can relax in the living room, the tatami room or the cozy open space. The bath, made of hinoki (Japanese cypress) When you step into the bathroom your whole body is enveloped in the scent of the wood. The house is also very close to the ocean.
