In front of our house, which is sandwiched between the Hida-Buri Highway that connects the former Toyama and Takayama, there are the Nissho-bu Mingei Kan and the Yoshima residence, which are important cultural properties that show the rich cultural assets of Japan, and this area is designated as a preservation district for traditional buildings. You can enjoy the old town and beautiful scenery while experiencing historic buildings. It is a 2-minute walk to Miyagawa Morning Market and a 5-minute walk to Sakurayama Hachimangu Shrine, the site of the autumn Takayama Festival. The festival stall in this area is called Hōmeita, and it has a variety of decorations such as a palanquin and sculptures (1-minute walk to the stall). This is a private rental accommodation in a renovated 45-year-old wooden house located in Toyama City, Toyama Prefecture. We are renovating it to make it comfortable for modern people to use, while maintaining the good points of an old house. It features a space where old and new materials coexist and you can feel the natural environment, including the garden. Even large groups can use it comfortably. We hope you can relax and use it as a base for sightseeing in Hokuriku and climbing the Northern Alps. There is a monitor, so it is also recommended for workations. As this is a private rental, you can use it as if it were your own home, but the store on the first floor is open on Fridays and Saturdays, and the host may stay there from time to time. Private Kominka / Sake Tasting / 30 minutes in Kanazawa

This Taisho-era house, once a shop, home, and storehouse, is now a guesthouse. We can share its history if you are interested. Some original items remain. The storehouse is now a small sake bar. We offer free sake tasting, or tea and sweets. Local people also visit on weekends. Two major shrines are within walking distance. Tsurugi and Nomachi Stations are 30 minutes apart by train. Kanazawa Station is 40–50 minutes from Tsurugi, with a transfer.
