Please be sure to read all the information about our facility before booking, and make your reservation only after you have understood and agreed to it. We renovated an old traditional house. This is a private inn, but the host may be present on Fridays and Saturdays when the shop on the ground floor is open, or at other times on an irregular basis. We also welcome pets, and you can bring them with you when you dine on the ground floor. However, since regular customers also come to the restaurant on Fridays and Saturdays, if your pet barks too much or wanders around, you will need to keep it in a cage on the 3rd floor. On the first floor, we offer over 100 kinds of drinks, as well as à la carte and set meals (reservation required; 8,000 yen on Fridays and Saturdays, and 10,000 yen per person on days other than Fridays and Saturdays (for 2 or more people)). Location Opened in May 2024. Located in the heart of Takayama's historic district, Makoto-ya Ojin is a stylish inn in 1-chome, Ojin-cho, Takayama City, where the good old Japanese landscape remains. In front of our house, which is sandwiched between the Hida-Buri Highway that connects the former Toyama and Takayama, there are the Nissho-bu Mingei Kan and the Yoshima residence, which are important cultural properties that show the rich cultural assets of Japan, and this area is designated as a preservation district for traditional buildings. You can enjoy the old town and beautiful scenery while experiencing historic buildings. It is a 2-minute walk to Miyagawa Morning Market and a 5-minute walk to Sakurayama Hachimangu Shrine, the site of the autumn Takayama Festival. This is a private rental accommodation in a renovated 45-year-old wooden house located in Toyama City, Toyama Prefecture. We are renovating it to make it comfortable for modern people to use, while maintaining the good points of an old house. It features a space where old and new materials coexist and you can feel the natural environment, including the garden. Even large groups can use it comfortably. We hope you can relax and use it as a base for sightseeing in Hokuriku and climbing the Northern Alps. There is a monitor, so it is also recommended for workations.
