Cottage holiday rentals in Trent Lakes

We really enjoyed our stay at Dock Cottage. It was modern elegance mixed with warm vintage touches. It had everything we needed to make our stay really comfortable and we loved the dock, hot tub and kayaking on the lake. It was quiet and peaceful and felt far away from everything yet we were an easy walk from Miss Nelle’s coffee shop and ice cream stand where we went each morning for a coffee (opens at 7am), Muskoka Brewing Company for a beer and a few other Baysville shops. The communication and instructions were really helpful and we received prompt replies if we had a question so it felt like we were really taken care of. We will definitely be back and recommend it to friends.

Wait.. there is no option for 6 stars!?! Wow, where to begin!?! From check-in to check-out, our group had a fantastic time. Our host was super friendly and easy to connect with at all times. Our group had 8; 6 adults, a teen & a child. Everyone was entertained at all times from the karaoke machine, the games, the hot tub, the firepit, the kayaks & canoes, the swimming, and the stairway to haven, which was truly breathtaking taking!!! The town of Halliburton was a short 10 minutes away where we enjoyed some shopping, lunch & coffee. We were celebrating my parents 50th wedding anniversary; 78 & 73 years young and they rocked that staircase several times! We frequent Air B N Bs often and this is by far my new favourite. There is already talk of a return visit in the future. Highland Bliss is gourgeous, loaded with all the amenities, is spotless, super comfortable and my family is so thankful to Marcia for allowing us to visit her beautiful space and create lasting memories!

Heather’s cottage was amazing! Able to accommodate a group of guests without squishing or being in anyone’s way! A couple little insects wanted to join our weekend but nothing a paper towel and a double wipe with some all purpose cleaner couldn’t beat! After all it is a cottage! Amazing large space (especially that sunroom!) with lots of amenities (the hot tub, chrome cast, indoor speakers and pool were a BIG HIT)! Great for game nights and the sunsets were beautiful. Bunker house was also clean and very comfortable for some of guests to stay in! Overall great experience and our hosts were so nice and easy to talk to. Would recommend this cottage and would definitely book again!

Chorong was a great host! Leading up to our stay she was extremely responsive as I had a lot of questions! The house itself was stunning. Clearly it is taken care of and maintained very well. All of the beds were so comfortable. Outdoor area was a lovely space. Would definitely like to come back in the winter as I am sure the scenery is beautiful.

The host was very responsive, and the space was beautiful. The location was close enough to everything we needed, but still offered solitude and peace away from all the busyness. Once we got the hang of it, the grill and other outdoor amenities were lovely. Overall would recommend.

beautiful home, tailored for guests and accommodated our dog. Includes most essentials for cooking and eating. The host ensures that we are well informed with usage of amenities, and gives necessary updates. Lots to do on the lake, provided by the host (canoe, kayak, paddleboard). Fire pit, bbq and hot tub were all great additions. Air conditioner is adequate for the space, even with the heat wave we experienced. Lake is very quiet, with some local fishermen and neighbours kayaking/paddleboarding. Overall, very clean, nicely decorated, comfortable. We will book again with Cassey!

We stayed here for 3 days as part of a mother/daughter getaway. It was perfect! We sat in the sun on the lower deck, we sat in the sun on the dock, we sat in the sun porch in the mornings and evenings, we sat and watched the hockey game in the cozy livingroom, we ate good food and laughed a lot! Thankful for a wonderful stay!

We had such a great time staying here for our little family vacation. It had everything we could want for a quiet, private and at-home beach trip. The kayaks and paddle boards were great, and the kids loved to play in the sand and explore the shallow, sandy waters. It was very comfortable and convenient to have the house and its amenities at our disposal while enjoying the sun, sand and water. We spent our evenings by the fire pit. The kitchen has everything you could need and a bbq to make cooking a breeze. Plenty of towels and bedding. The mattresses are quite soft (which isn’t our preference) but that didn’t bothers us. Rebecca was very helpful and responses when there were a couple things missing. We would so so happy to come back again!

Great place to stay while working in the area!

It was great to be back again. The place was wonderful again and we truly appreciate all that Tim & Cindy do to keep the place up and looking nice. We also noticed that there was a new wood stove which was a lot nicer for keeping the place warm at night as we had a couple of chilly nights, so thank you for that upgrade. we really enjoy the place and the location in proximity to the lake. We had a great stay at Jonathan’s place! Everything was just as described, Jonathan was quick to respond all of our questions. The kitchen amenities were top notch, it had everything we needed to prepare all of our meals. We also really enjoyed the new bbq grill. The location was easy to find. The house has an amazing view of the lake, which is great for swimming and kayaking. I’d definitely recommend Jonathan’s place!

Melissa is an amazing host, and we felt so well taken care of. Beautiful property, amazing accommodation. The games room was such a plus, we had fun! The property lends itself to relaxation, from the amazing deck, new dock, fire pit by water, and even a lovely swing to sit in with a morning coffee. We will back, highly recommend.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this charming cottage! The peaceful surroundings and serene atmosphere made it the perfect getaway. We had an amazing time, the cottage was kid friendly while still being a fun place for adults to hang out! The sauna was great, the hot tub has cool treetop views of the lake, the dock was massive and offered plenty of space to hang out. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a cottage this summer!

Our time at Lazy Bear Lakehouse on Buckhorn Lake was truly unforgettable. Tucked away in a serene and scenic spot, the cottage offered the perfect mix of comfort, beauty, and tranquility. The cottage was spotless, well-organized, and beautifully maintained. Everything we needed was thoughtfully provided, allowing us to settle in and enjoy from the moment we arrived. The view overlooking the lake was absolutely stunning—constantly shifting throughout the day with the changing light. The sunset was especially breathtaking, painting the sky and water in the most vibrant and calming hues. Although the hosts, Michelle and Ryan, were not on-site, they were incredibly responsive and helpful throughout our stay. Their thoughtful touches and clear communication made everything seamless and stress-free. Buckhorn Lake is one of the most peaceful places we’ve ever visited. Whether it was morning coffee on the deck or quiet afternoons enjoying the stillness of the water. We love it!

Patrick was extremely kind and responsive! The place was nicer than the photos, and the kitchen was stocked to the brim, which was very convenient. They even gave access to Netflix on both TV’s, which was very considerate.

Caroline was an amazing host and had such a great home. The house has everything you need from kitchen amenities to entertainment festivities. Comfortable beds and fully equipped stay. Love to come again

I have stayed at over 130 AirBnBs, likely 40 of them cottages, and this may be my favourite. The effort and care put into making this property the ultimate lake experience is overwhelming. We didn't even have the chance to sit at every beautiful spot - there just weren't enough days! The beach - the dock - the lake fire pit - the hill fire pit - the deck fireplace - the gazebo with the full table and chairs - the perfect dining table overlooking the whole lake... And that's just outside. The beds are incredibly comfortable, the soaker tub sublime, and the main living room as cozy a spot as we've ever been. Our original AirBnB was not as advertised, and Tomek made his place available at 6 pm on a Friday night for the weekend. He didn't just save our weekend -- he made it better. I can't say enough good things. Book this spot. If you're looking for a cottage weekend relaxing outside, it might be the best I've ever seen. Thank you Tomek.

We enjoyed our stay and took advantage of swimming in the lake, sitting on the dock, kayaking and simply watching the hummingbirds by day and fireflies by night. The location is perfect allowing us easy access to Peterborough and also Petroglyph Provincial park. Lots of great restaurant options. I would consider staying here again while visiting my child at Trent University.

Second visit…great place to relax and unwind. Attentive and accommodating host! Will come again!

The cottage was clean and beautiful. It was very comfortable and homey. Victoria and Ron were great hosts. We loved our stay and would surely come back. We had a super time and the location is fab.

We had the absolute pleasure of staying at Priolo on the Bay – Moody Escape, and it was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that Andy is a truly exceptional host. Every detail was thoughtfully curated to create a luxurious yet cozy escape. The cottage itself is immaculate – modern, stylish, and unbelievably comfortable. It strikes the perfect balance between high-end living and rustic charm. Tucked away in the heart of nature, it still offers every convenience imaginable: from fully stocked cutlery and snacks to campfire treats, firewood for both the sauna and outdoor firepit, a gas oven, extra lighters—you name it, it was there.The interiors are spotless and beautifully designed, making the entire space feel like a warm, peaceful retreat. Sitting by the fire, unwinding in the sauna, or just enjoying the serene forest surroundings—it all felt like a dream.This is the kind of place that makes you not want to leave!

When selecting our holiday this year, we were looking for somewhere peaceful with a beautiful view that would allow us to recharge batteries. Patrick's home provided exactly this. The whole experience was awesome, the view spectacular. Overall the activities on the lake did not cause significant concern, the lake is big enough for jet skis but not for full motorboats. There were a few people who felt it was a great idea to just dash up and down the lake at top speed, but they soon got bored and stopped and this was, generally, only at the weekend. The rest of time the place was just serene. We were sad when it was time to go, we stayed 8 days and could have stayed 8 more.
