Had a great time at Connor’s place! Location is key with this rental as you are a few minutes bike ride into downtown Bar Harbor and also a few minutes drive/bike to Acadia National Park. I was able to bike from the house up Cadillac Mountain and back before my kids woke up that is how close this listing is the the National Park. Everything was as pictured and my family really enjoyed grabbing lobsters at Parson’s down the street and steaming them at the house. We had a great time biking into Bar Harbor to enjoy the town and also did many miles on the carriage roads with the family. Overall great experience and I would recommend this location/home to anyone wanting to be close to downtown and Acadia.

This home is fantastic. it is in such a beautiful and serene setting. you get to watch the sunrises over the mountains in the back, and the outdoor shower is so amazing. inside is comfy and the bed was huge! great hosts as well. very attentive and helping.

Ami was a great host, she left us some snacks and treats special to Maine for our arrival. We loved staying here, it was a short distance into town where we enjoyed Pat’s Pizza, the ice cream shop across the street, the lumberjack show and Momo’s cheesecakes (open 24/7 and absolutely adorable and fun space). We also drove the 25 minutes or so into Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park, it was all beautiful and the stay was very nice.

Very nice apartment in a perfect location for hiking in Acadia Park (~20 minutes by car). Large supermarket close to the apartment. Dani was very responsive upon our arrival and available throughout our stay. We hope to return again.

Wonderful place to stay in Bar Harbor! Great location to the restaurants and shopping and super short drive to Acadia. Place is quiet and was very clean. Would stay again!

Tina's house was very homely and welcoming. She provided us with all amenities to ensure a comfortable stay - plenty of towels, extra laundry pods, dishwasher liquid, small pack of toiletries, cleaning supplies and trash bags. The house was spotlessly clean when we arrived. It was well illuminated, ventilated and she also provided extra portable fans in each bedroom. There were extra comforters and sufficient hangers. The kitchen had a small provision of condiments and lots of cooking utensils. Dishwasher and dryer/washer worked great! Living room had lots of books, a smart TV - enough to keep us entertained on rainy days. The bathroom and shower arrangement was very comfortable. Tina was very friendly and accommodating of a last minute change from 3 guests to 4. She proactively checked on us and gave clear instructions for check in & check out. The house is very close to Walmart (5 min drive), good restaurants and just 15 - 20 min drive from Acadia NP. I highly recommend this place.

Cute suite in a cool mansion building with all of downtown Ellsworth nearby. It has a living area (bedroom/kitchen/dining), a sitting room, and a small bathroom. Ellsworth has a fun downtown with some interesting stores and good places to eat. Mount Desert Island is only 20 odd minutes away, though Acadia itself is another 10 and many locations can be 40 minutes away. Bar Harbor is about half an hour, a very worthwhile place to visit after hiking in Acadia. Bangor is also about 40 minutes away, it has some fun character and stores, worth spending a day at. Overall this is a great location but can feel slightly out of the way (which is better to avoid tourism).

Relaxing, quiet spot to stay while visiting the attractions in and around Acadia National Park, easy commute to reach the Bar Harbor area. Excellent info on things to do and see, places to eat. Perfect set up, everything needed to cook fresh lobster is provided. Yes, the water is ‘hot’ BUT ample posted warnings about the hotness! To top it off, easy to find and the pricing is amazing compared to other rentals in the area!

What a beautiful place to stay! Pristine clean , very welcoming - all the little details are carefully though through so there is perfect space of everything, plenty storage for your belongings, well equipped kitchen. But the biggest positive side was host's responsiveness, great advises for activities (including parking tips), restaurants etc. We truly felt very welcomed, like visiting family . Extremely positive experience on many levels, we highly recommend this place!

Keith and Lisa went above and beyond with this unit. Out of the airbnbs I have stayed in this one was by far the best and the other reviews are not exaggerating. This place was supplied for anything you’d need from a baking sheet for a full pizza pie to bug spray for any outdoor needs. The list goes on; umbrellas, smores ingredients, disposable razors, slippers, cleaning supplies, and more. This place was stocked better than my own home. We felt super comfortable and the place was very clean, so clean that it all felt newly purchased. Keith was quick to respond to any questions we had and also provided extensive guides on local restaurants/activities in the Airbnb. When we come back we would 100% stay here again. The drive to Bar Harbor was about 30 minutes and the stay was well worth the money we saved compared to staying somewhere closer to the park.

We had a great stay at the Penthouse! It was a perfect launching point for our downeast adventures in Acadia and points beyond. There was a beautiful waterfront view in a charming small town. The space was cozy, clean, modern and very comfortable for our stay. Highly recommend it.

A gem of an Airbnb. Great location on the quieter side of MDI but still within a 15-20 min drive to all major sites. Modern and cute decor, well outfitted kitchen, fluffy towels, nice lighting. Highly recommend.

We had a wonderful stay at the buoy house! The house was extremely clean, with a convenient layout, so that noise from the kitchen does not reach the bedrooms. It is very spacious and has lots of storage for all the stuff you are bringing on your trip. Everything was clean and we felt very comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes, glassware, utensils, cooking supplies, cleaning supplies etc. There are lots of extra linens, towels, toilet paper, tissues, paper towel, we even found a vacuum in the closet. The owners are very friendly. We didn’t hear any noise from the store at all during our stay. We didn’t make use of the outdoor spaces because we were mostly experiencing the park, but they did seem very nice.

If you are looking for a vacation that is quiet, relaxing and with stunning views then this is the place! Only 10 minutes from downtown bar harbor and quick easy access to Acadia. Honestly, my wife and I made less trips to Acadia because the views from the property were better! The hosts are fantastic and have everything you need for a comfortable stay. Highly recommend.

It was a nice location and the place was as described. The dock was nice, but the stairs getting down is through the driveway of another house. It was a great spot to come back to after a day exploring Acadia.

A must stay for those exploring Acadia/Bar Harbor! The Open Hearth Inn was truly a family feel. The owners and the wonderful management team thought of everything you could want/need. This included treats for doggos, snacks for guests, board games, and even s’more kits to enjoy by the fire. Very quick drive to Acadia and Bar Harbor but also a lovely place to hangout on the days when you can’t do one more hike. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

This place is a great find! Easy to check in and out, adorable little inn, and the bakery across the street was delicious.

We LOVED our stay at Open Hearth Inn! We booked the room as a landing space during our trip to Acadia and it was perfect. The coziest and quaintest space, just outside of busy Bar Harbor! There were so many amenities (hot tub, full kitchen, fire pit, etc.) and the hosts were so generous and welcoming- there were even brownies left for guests one morning! 😭❤️ There are a plethora of guides and recommendations from the hosts in the lobby, we utilized them to find a kayaking spot during our trip. The common spaces are equally as cozy as the home, complete with loads of games and a TV! We are so glad we chose Open Hearth Inn and enjoyed spending time in the most homely and beautiful space!

I can't say enough about this place. Traveling with 4 seniors with mobility problems can be a challenge but Linda was beyond amazing and accommodating. The home had everything you needed and more. I can't wait to be able to come back

Perfect studio. Used the jetted tub, nice and relaxing. Lots of extras (new toiletries, coffee, filters, sugar, etc.) much appreciated and used. The view, esp at sunrise, was stunning. Quiet neighbors. The beach store (pizza, sandwiches, salads, coffee and more) was very good. Just down stairs and one building over. (get there early for their muffins) I would certainly stay here again.

Robin was very communicative and thoughtful during our stay. The place was exactly as described in the listing and was immaculate upon our arrival. The space was decorated tastefully and had everything we needed to be comfortable. Great location to be near the fair in the fall! Would recommend this location and host.

Beautiful spot and view from the hot tub and dock. Cute little living space and we loved the welcome/ informational guide provided as well as the home made cookies ready for us on arrival. Would stay again!
