Mellomgaard is located in a quiet area of Sør-Kvaløya. The house is of high standard, with bedrooms located separately on each side of the house. Here, you'll find a harmonious atmosphere in a rural setting, free from noise, light pollution, and traffic, while still being close to nearby prepared ski slopes, Tromsø city center, and nearby natural attractions. We have our own shoreline with sand and hiking trails in the immediate vicinity. Mellomgaard is about a 25-minute drive from Tromsø Airport and 35 minutes from Tromsø city center. The house is located on a farm with two other separate living units, you are our only guests. It has the highest position on the property, offering fantastic views. In the summer, a boat for fishing or day trips can be rented upon request. The nature in Northern Norway is stunning, with countless hiking trails and peaks to explore. During the dark season, you can see the Northern Lights from our backyard without light pollution from the surroundings. The area offers excellent opportunities for fantastic nature experiences, with a chance to spot eagles, reindeer, moose, and other wildlife living in the Arctic climate—sometimes right outside the door. You can also book a dog sledding trip, just a 10–15 minute drive away from 3 different companies, or enjoy a horseback ride or carriage ride! On our farm, we have two horses of the Nordlandshest/Lyngshest breed. This is one of three fully Norwegian horse breeds listed as endangered on UNESCO’s World Heritage list. Our horses, Frost and Peer, are happy to welcome guests by appointment. In the area, you'll also find the popular Hella outdoor area, with old buildings, great fishing opportunities, and a café in the summer. Here, you can fish from the rocks, watch boat traffic up close, grill, or visit ancient rock carvings nearby. We’re happy to recommend great hiking destinations and experiences in the area! We can assist with directions and have created a guide that we’d love to share with you before your arrival, so you can easily navigate to activities and experiences that will make your vacation perfect!

This spectacular architect-designed detached house has 2 parking spaces, large kitchen, 2 living rooms, 4 bedrooms with double beds, 2.5 bathrooms and 3 sunny outdoor areas with space for up to 8 people. The house is south-west facing and a total of 180 m2. It has a modern, bright and cozy, Scandinavian style. From here you can enjoy magnificent views of fantastic mountains and lakes, as well as experience the spectacular light we have in the north, all year round. Short distance to the beautiful Prestvannet light trail (hiking and toboggan run), city center and airport.

Welcome to Ramfjorden, which offers beautiful nature and high mountains. Enjoy your time here in the detached house that has everything you need for your stay. The area is a great location for watching the Northern Lights and Arctic animals. Here, you can fish in the fjord, which is covered in ice 6 months a year, go hiking in the nearby mountains, or drive into Tromsø, which takes about 30 minutes. I have free loan of a baby bed, snowshoes, sledges, kick sleds, sports, fishing and ice fishing equipment. I can also rent out snowboards, skates and a boat on request :-)

Cozy old house - Grandmas – Oldstyre house. Kraknes on Kvaløya. 16 km from Tromsø city center. Here you can enjoy great nature in summer and winter. View of magical mountains and sailing into Tromsø city. You can see some of the mountains in Lyngen Alps from the house. Here you can enjoy silence, relaxation, midnight sun in summer and northern lights and Arctic great skies in winter. 10 minutes drive from the airport and 20 minutes by car from the house to Tromsø City center. We recommend the use of a rental car.

From this central accommodation you have easy access to all the amenities Tromsø has to offer. The location is strategic with a bus stop only two minutes away, which gives you access to five different bus routes that cover the entire city. In addition, it only takes five minutes by bus from the bus stop to the city center. Alternatively, you can enjoy a pleasant walk of about 15 minutes along beautiful surroundings and over the bridge to the city center, where you can admire the city in all its glory.

You live 5 min from the airport and yet in nature. A few meters from the sea and a river running out into the sea here. Around the houses, you can discover shortages of various animals. Reindeer often comes by. Moose can come by a quick trip. Otherwise, otters and weights will run around the houses. In the sea, seals and rare dolphins swim. A superb place to observe the Northern Lights - and if it is windless, it mirrors in the sea as well. Tromsø city center bus, about 15 min.

Home with a view close to the mountain

Little flat where you can relax during your stay in Tromsø. Close to the mountain and the sherpastairs. If you are looking for a place where you can explore the nature around Tromsø this is perfect for you. You can go directly from the house to the mountain or into the valley of Tromsdalen, this will give you easy access to see the northern lights. It is a few minuts to the bus who takes you to the senter of Tromsø (10-15 min. by bus) and you can also walk (30-40 min)

Enjoy the view and the northern lights from the balcony or relax in the hot tub. Free use of washing machine, dryer, hot tub, towels, bed linen, detergents, kitchen and cable TV/Internet 2 bedrooms with double beds for a total of 4 people. Comfortable self-inflating high air mattress (90x200x40cm) for a fifth guest, can be placed in the bedroom or living room. Free parking for one car. Entrance on the backside of the house with stairs up to the apartment.

Our house is situated on the appropriately named “whale island” (Kvaløya), just a short 15-20 minute drive to Tromsø city centre and 12 minutes to the airport (9km). This is a perfect location for those searching for a true Arctic experience, as the house is located at the main hub of Kvaløya. Dog and Reindeer sleddings are close by (3km). It is truly is the perfect place to appreciate northern Norway.

(attached photos) What makes it even better is the central location of the house. Near by you can find the city center, the famous church and cable car, in addition to restaurants and shopping mall.
