Cottage holiday rentals in Truro

My partner and I had a great stay here for a long weekend. The place was so peaceful and quiet but close to amenities. The bed in particular was so comfortable, something I find hard to find at Airbnb’s! Claire and her husband were such lovely hosts and even gave us some free home grown eggs for breakfast. Plus lots of local recommendations. The local is good for seeing both the north and south coast. Easy to get the train too if you don’t fancy driving. 100% would come back and recommend the others too!

What a great place to relax and stay at, this is one of the best Airbnb’s we have started at. Mark and Tracey were welcoming and made us feel right at home. The spa is brilliant and was always set out really well with everything ready for when we wanted it in the evening. If you come here and decide to not have the in house chef experience, then you really are missing out. It was absolutely amazing and we were so full but the tastes were superb.

Lovely little cottage with fantastic hot tub and outdoor space. Walking distance to Polperro village and easy access to the coastal path too.

Had a wonderful stay at Silva Cottage.The cottage was beautiful and had everything a person could need and very clean. The location was amazing set in woods and so so quiet apart from the birds which were a delight to see and hear especially watching the comings and going’s of Woodpeckers on the bird feeder. The hot tub was spectacular.Set in the woods nothing could compare to sitting back and enjoying the tub with a glass of fizz. We had a great recommendation from Lorraine for an Indian Takeaway which delivered to the cottage and ate a great lunch at The Tamar Inn at Calstock. Great location for walkers with Dartmoor on one side and Bodmin Moor on the other plus the coastal path. Would highly recommend this property and would love to return.

We loved our stay in this cottage! It has such a cosy homely feel and is equipped with everything you’d need! The bed was super comfy and it was nice to have a tv in both bedrooms and the living space! The hot tub area was gorgeous and a great place to unwind and relax, very private area! Shaun the host was super friendly and very responsive! We couldn’t fault this place - amazing value for money. Would recommend and would love to return in the future!

Wow! What an incredible 6 days we had staying at Nicola’s place. It was for my partners 21st birthday and Nicola put up banners and balloons which was lovely of her. We both had the best time, it was both of our first time in Cornwall and we explored so much in the time we was there. Boscastle is an amazing place to stay as St Ives was just over an hour away, Marazion was an hour away, Newquay just under an hour. Even the local beaches and exploring Boscastle was so much fun. It really was a great location, the views, the sunsets/ sunrises everything truly was amazing and we will 100% be back in the future. Thank you so much for having us and as I say we thoroughly enjoyed our first time in Cornwall.

A fabulous little hideaway perfect for dogs! Couldn’t have asked for a more relaxing break! The secure garden meant the dogs could roam freely and every detail was thought of. The house was immaculate and really comfortable and a great central base for exploring Cornwall. We WILL be back!

Tracy was very responsive and helpful. You immediately felt like she really cares that her guests have every comfort and feel welcome. The clotted cream and scones on arrival were a lovely touch that we really appreciated. The cottage was spotlessly clean and had everything you can possibly need. The area was perfect for us and easy to get to all the places we wanted to visit us St Ives, Falmouth to name just two. Our only regret was that it was only a 3 night stay this time but we will be sure to return for longer next time.

We stayed at Mellinzeath 28 years ago for a week of our honeymoon, and decided to revisit for our anniversary. What a transformation! The property has been restored beautifully and sympathetically, and now feels loved again. Everything - the materials used for the fabric of the building, fixtures, fittings and equipment - is of excellent quality, and there are many little touches which make it extra welcoming. Even Obi, our dog, had his own welcome pack and a warm shower outside. This is a very special property in a tranquil, secluded setting, with nothing but the birds for company. Wish it had been like this for our honeymoon.....

Super friendly helpful hosts with a great cottage with everything you need for your stay. Comfy bed. Top notch power shower. Nice coffee machine. Cottage is edge of village with some fabulous views. Quiet and comfy accommodation. Walkable (5 minutes) friendly locals pub in village. Walkable (10 minutes) Spar supermarket and the lovely Kay’s Fish and Chip shop. Thanks Jim and Lyn. We will definitely return.

You cannot find a more beautiful and peaceful location for a few days rest within nature. Their homestead is so quiet apart from bird song. The cottage is very calm and comfortable with a beautiful log fire in the cooler evenings. The private garden and terrace you have has wonderful views and is ideal for eating alfresco plus a very roomy private car park. Bed is super comfortable with lovely high quality linen. I would not hesitate to stay again and the cheeky gorgeous Truffle Cockerpoo owners dog is very friendly and welcoming.

The cottage was very clean and comfortable. We loved relaxing in the warm conservatory after our days out walking. Easy walking access to SW coast path and within 15 minutes car ride of Penzance and St Just.

We loved our stay at the Little Forge. Sue was a superb host and gave us loads of great recommendations. We really appreciated the welcome pack of milk, bread, eggs etc as it meant we could have a lovely lazy morning after our first night. The annexe was exactly as described, extremely well appointed with everything we could need for our week long stay with our dog, including dishwasher and washing machine soaps, good selection of utensils and salt/pepper/oil. The courtyard garden is delightful suntrap and overall the location could not be more peaceful. We’d love to come back again.

Alfreds Cottage was easy to find, clean and made cosy a couple of cooler evening with the log fire. Wood and kindling available at Co-op. We didn't have a car, but local buses are just round the corner and centre of St Ives in walking distance, the up hill walk home was no problem. We ventured out to walk coastal paths, returning by bus. Also took train to Penzance, and Carbis bay. There is a big Tesco store at Carbis bay, the bus takes you there direct from main road near property. The coastal walks and beaches to visit around St Ives are just magic.. we did have fantastic sunny days though ;) Lisa answers queries promptly.. we sent a few suggestions when we left that we thought needed sorting.. We stayed three nights in this cosy house with some friends for a wedding nearby. House was super cute and had everything we needed - also very quick to walk to the shop and a very nice pub nearby. Anna was super helpful with lots of recommendations and very friendly. We had a great stay, would recommend to anyone ☺️

We loved staying at Winnie's Cottage, which is a beautiful place tucked away in a peaceful location. Our 4 year old loved the playroom and all the outdoor space - especially the trampoline! And it was well set up for our 10 month old, too, with high chair and toys. The nearby beaches are beautiful and there's plenty to explore nearby. We will hopefully be back! Thank you!

Just returned after staying 4 nights at the smithy & we had a lovely time whilst there. Kassie is an amazing host & always on hand to help with any enquiries or with local knowledge. The smithy is idealic & has everything that you need for a few days away, Kassie also made an amazing lemon drizzle cake upon our arrival which didn’t last very long! We would definitely stay here again when visiting Cornwall, loved every minute of it.

Praze Barn is the loveliest place to stay for a peaceful retreat. We had the nicest time - the local area is amazingly beautiful and the barn felt fitting to return to as it was gorgeous, cozy and bright. Lots of great info about the area in the guide left in the house which was really useful. Would highly recommend to anyone, especially if you want a peaceful weekend away - perfect place to reset!

The Bobbin is a stylish and cosy property located right in the heart of St Ives. It felt special to stay in place that has a gorgeous mix of Cornish architecture and modern amenities. We had a lovely holiday!

We had a fantastic stay! The location was perfect for getting into the town; shops close by and easy access to main routes. The house was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. Ryan and Katy were great hosts, very responsive and flexible with check in. The house is cute and very homely, great for groups of friends or families and has everything you would need. Would definitely stay here again!

we a had lovley stay at the granite barn. The barn was clean and all was as the description thank you for coffee tea and cake on arrival. just the right area for everything we wanted to do nowhere was far. lots of places to eat out or just for a drink. we love the front in falmouth. no food but you can take your own lovley fish and chips from up above. sit outside or in. We will return soon and would recommend

Beautiful, peaceful setting with lots of wildlife, and easy access to different beaches and areas of Cornwall. Friendly, welcoming hosts and cosy, well-equipped accommodation. Would definitely stay again!

Very nice and very well-maintained accommodation. The location is perfect for both extensive coastal walks and exploring the surrounding area. The landlord is always helpful and extremely nice and accommodating.
