My favourite time here is summer for amazing walks/cycling up mountains to enjoy majestic views. Misty Mountain Hut supports local staff by paying $40/hr for cleaning.

The new marina /boat ramp is just 500m away. Enjoy the world famous trout fishing on the Tongariro river less than 10 minutes down the road. A/C upstairs and downstairs for summer cooling or winter heat. The amazing Tongariro Crossing track starting point at Mangatepopo is just 45 minutes away.
