If you are coming to Buffalo Gap/Abilene this is the place to stay! You will not regret it! It has all the amenities that a home has. Everything was thought out and purposeful. I can’t even begin to explain the details, decor, and beauty of this home! It’s a home out of a Southern Living or a Martha Stewart magazine! Loved the nugget ice machine, gas stove, wraparound porch, bench in the shower, even had floss, and make-up wipes! My stay was so comfortable and was happy to come “home” each night. It’s only 15 minutes from Abilene and in walking distance to everything in Buffalo Gap. The home was spotless and clean. I look forward to coming back each year now that I have my go-to home! Hosts were proactive and very responsive. Thank you for the enjoyable stay!

Third time’s the charm! We never regret staying at Alex’s place and look forward to our next booking at the train cars. The place is amazing, the views are incredible, and Alex is a great host. If you’re thinking about booking with Alex, do it! You will not be disappointed.

This is a great place for adventurous families. They allowed my local family to come out and hang out with us. Their house is up the hill a little but they kept to themselves (wouldn't bother me but some people like it that way). The house is spacious. The kids had room to play. Didn't have beds and furniture taking up all the floor space. Plenty of trails to hike. Kids wanted smores. It was a little windy so didn't want to start a fire. They gave another option with propane firepit so still got too. We will definitely be back.

from the moment I arrived it felt like home and not a rented space, had a list of local places to visit and eat, with clear instructions for check out. overall it was a wonderful experience
