Selhammar is a location that is relatively isolated and accessible down a farm track that wanders about 1 km from the public road system. Explore a choice of forest, beaches and mountains just outside your doorstep. The homestead is slowly being restored from abandonment and basic organic principles are practised.

Moderne hytte med stor terrasse og idyllisk hage

Skjoldastraumen er et idyllisk og rolig sted med mulighet for flere aktiviteter og utflukter. Stedet er nok mest kjent for sine saltvannssluser som åpnet i 1908. Saltvannsslusene er de eneste i Norge som fremdeles er i bruk. Sandstranden på Notaflåt ligger sentralt og gir bademuligheter en fin sommerdag. I nærområdet ligger også Straumen skule. Her kan barna leke og spille fotball. Kjører du til Nedstrand finner du ikke ukjente Himakånå. "Straumen er Draumen"

Et rolig område på et småbruk i de norske fjorder, 3 minutter å gå ned til sjøen, en fjord som blant annet er kjent for havørn og fiske. Byggene er nye, satt opp i gammel stil og dere vil disponere to bygg, ‘langhus’ og anneks. Området er også et godt utgangspunkt for turer i fjellet, fiske, Høyt og Lavt klatrepark, Avdalsnes Viking / historie museum med mer. På eiendommen er det lagt til rette for barn og lek. Herlig hytte like ved sjøen i rolige omgivelser. Her kan du slappe av og nyte dagene med sjøutsikt og naturen utenfor dørene. Gå til sjøen for å ta et bad, hopp fra bryggen, gå en tur i skogen, plukk bær, eller slapp av på den store terrassen. På uværsdager kan du tenne i peisen og kose deg med å se på sjøen. Det er bålpanne på terrassen og grill tilgjengelig. Kort vei til den populære turen til Himkånå, Nedstrand og slusene i Skjoldastrømmen.

The cottage is located in quiet surroundings and you're going to love our place because it's located right by the fjord. You can easily go fishing and hiking or just relax and enjoying the view. Furthermore, the quiet surroundings make it magical when you take a bath in the jacuzzi while watching the sunset. We highly recommend a hike to Himakånå. It is also possible to take a day trip to the Pulpit Rock.
