Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Val Taleggio

Everything about the house was wonderful. The only thing I would caution is if you don’t have a car and you have difficulty walking, it is not an easy place to get to. I will say it got easier each day. The bus was very convenient getting around once you get down the hill.

Silviu’s place was lovely. It was charming and within walking distance of a Chinese super market, the lake, and a place for coffee. Silviu even picked us up and dropped us off at the train station which was extremely kind. His place is close to the train station but it is a would have felt very long with our heavy bags. He was very kind and responsive before and during the visit. There was also parking right in-front of the place for our friends who had a car. We had a great stay.

The accommodation is beautiful - the fantastic view the absolute highlight. The premises are super divided & the house is very charming. Would book again immediately! Only the parking situation is a bit difficult. It's not easy to find a parking spot.

Everything was perfect, very clean, comfortable The kitchen is very well equipped. And our favorite place is the balcony with an extraordinary view! A nice, neat apartment, you feel very good. Thank you for these hours of happiness!

We had a fantastic stay! The place was exactly as described: clean, comfortable, and inviting. The water pressure and hot water were excellent, and the bed was super comfy. The views were absolutely amazing and made our mornings and evenings extra special. The location was perfect, just a short, easy drive into central Menaggio. Riccardo was an incredibly friendly and responsive host, which made everything smooth from start to finish. Highly recommend!

Amazing host and a breathtaking view. Too bad we couldn't use the pool due to cold windy weather but had an amazing time with family and kids. with only 10 min drive to local attractions and ferry. I would highly recommend this Michele and his property.

Beautiful surroundings and well-worth the walk into town (there’s a very easy/safe path from this property into town - just expect to get some good exercise walking back up).

We celebrated my 70th birthday in Federico's house. We were at most 12 people at the table and lacked nothing! All possibilities for advanced cooking and plenty of space. Nothing was missing. The house itself is like a palace, the garden is very nice. The pool area is perfect. My daughter is already planning a trip here with some friends. Simple place to be for several families. Many bedrooms and a huge kitchen and living room. I recommend this place with all my heart. Besides, Federico is so helpful.

The apartment has an unbelievable view. The view out the front door will take your breath away. It's beautiful. The entire town is walkable and worth exploring. The train and ferry stations are also walking distance from the apartment, and we ended up using both for day trips to other lake cities. This is truly a magical location. We will forever remember having our morning coffee or pre-dinner wine on the lake, a mere 10 feet from our front door. Francesca and her mother were amazing, responsive, and helpful in every way. They left us a bottle of their family's wine as a welcome present. On our departure day, it was pouring rain, and they offered to drive us to the train station. So unexpected and kind. I would highly recommend this apartment and location. We'll visit again.

My wife and I stayed in Nertilia's apartment, which corresponded to what was listed on the site. Very clean apartment with attention to detail. Hosts available and gave us directions and tips on Lake Como. We had a great time, we recommend it.

Absolutely wonderful stay and amazing host. The apartment was exactly as described and the views and location were perfect. We loved sitting on the balcony, looking over the water and watching and hearing the people below. There are 2 wine bars just outside the door and also many restaurants. Alberto picked us up at the station and explained the apartment and area. Giorgio’s kindness was immeasurable. The trains had unexpectedly stopped running and he personally booked our transportation back to Milan and drove us to meet a new express bus. We could have never done this without him, as this was unpublished at the time. What a wonderful man! Varenna is a beautiful small village and there are many outstanding restaurants and things to do. Our highlight was taking a cooking class with Chef Marco, Chef’s Table, and later dining at his new restaurant, La Scarpetta. We recommend visiting the villas in town, taking the Taxi Boat to Villa Balbianello and hiking to the waterfall in Fiumelatte.

What an incredible stay! Michele’s place has everything you need to feel at home, all in an amazing location. There are enough amenities nearby such as the convenience store and 2 restaurants/bars, along with bus stops and even the dock for ferries across the lake. The views from every window and the rooftop are stunning. Thank you, Michele!

This is a delightful apartment right on the lakes edge. The view in the mornings, evenings, and throughout the day are to die for. The area is lovely and quiet and restful and the perfect place away from it all. If you are interested in walking, it is a very short distance to the Greenway. If you are into dining and wining the apartment is well served with restaurants and bars a very easy walking distance away. Sala Comacina itself is a quiet town, but this is part of its charm. We would certainly come back again.

Camillo was a really great host, very responsive and helpful with the turbulent journey we had getting there. The location of the property is spectacular and it was quite close to all there is to do in varenna. Highly recommend.

Words really can’t describe how beautiful this villa is. Eugenia is an incredible host, to say the absolute least. She is super helpful and on top of every thing you could ask for. Eugenia really made us feel at home and made everything so easy for us from transportation to restaurants to boats etc. I highly recommend staying here, you will NOT regret it.

My only regret is that we can’t give 6 stars on the evaluation and that since we want to come back it hurts me to advertise it to others!! Frankly, a part from the place which is a little jewel, the calmness of the surroundings, the spectacular lake Como, what we appreciated the most is the kindness and proactivity of our hosts. Marcus and Simona are perfect AirBnB hosts. The place is gorgeous; even better than the photos, which do not do it justice. The house was immaculate, and the most comfortable bed and linens I’ve experienced in a rental. Marcus went out of his way to accommodate us with recommendations and assistance from months before we arrived and always made himself available for help. I brought my older parents with me, who had some issues with the walk to the house - it’s about 2-3 minutes downhill and through cobblestones and rough gravel to get to the house - but worth every minute once you are there. I recommend you pack as light as possible - we had 3 large suitcases and 2 huge duffel bags plus carryons because we are on a long trip, which made it extra tough to load in and out. I actually left 2 suitcases in the car and took what we needed. Aside from the challenges because of our bags and some limited mobility, their home easily ranks in my Top 3 of all places I’ve been. Will be back!

Wonderful place! 100% would stay again. Easy to park and go. Amazing views and comfortable accommodations. Even had a welcome basket! Local store has wine for $4 and you can grab items for breakfast before you set out. If going downtown get there early for parking. Great dinner spots all over. Elena was the best guide to meet us and get settled in. Amazing flute player as well. We loved our villa in Bellagio!
