Nostalgia

A charming house from the 1800s with a great atmosphere. The property is beautifully located by the lake overlooking Ålesund and Sunnmørsalpene. Only 15 min by car from Ålesund city and the nearest airport, but is still a place that gives peace of mind. Outside the garden there is cultivated land with grazing animals in late summer. The island of Giske itself is a gem with a marble church from the Middle Ages, beaches, untouched nature and bird life. The island was once home to Norway's most powerful noble family, the Arnungs, and is mentioned in the Snorre saga.

We rent out our house when we are away, close to Ålesund, nice view and child-friendly. Large garden with trampoline. Kitchen, TV room, living room and two bedrooms; one with two single beds and the other with a double bed (160). It is also possible to make a bed in the TV room if needed (for a small surcharge). IMPORTANT! Low ceiling (but all the more cozy). Our cat lives here too. Direct bus to Ålesund 50 m away from the house (approx. 20 min travel time). Otherwise, it's 10-12 min. by car to both the city center of Ålesund and the airport.

Quiet, peaceful, with stunning views of fjords and mountains, 10 m from the waterfront. 70 m2 plus a large room on the jetty level. Unique layout, large window surfaces, and multi-level rooms. One bedroom with a double bed, and a large sofa bed in the loft/TV room. Tiled bathroom by bedroom. The basement has a double door, a view of the fjord, and its own toilet/laundry room and refrigerator/freezer.

The apartment is located at the top of Skaret on Valderøya outside Ålesund with panoramic views of the shipyard along the coast. 10-15 min. drive to Ålesund city center, about 10 min. to the airport. Hiking opportunities just outside the door to the mountain Signalen with great views, or to the other islands Godøya, Giske or Vigra. Golf course at Vigra, 5 min. drive. At Alnes, located on Godøya, there is an art gallery/cafe. Short distance to all the sights of Ålesund and Sunnmørsfjellene with all their hiking opportunities.

Just metres from the town centre, but very quiet at the end of a narrow road, with amazing fjord and mountain views! Your parking space is in front of our house, and you go down an exterior staircase to your entrance. The entry has a big wardrobe. Next is the modern and fully equipped kitchen. The bathroom has a shower and washer dryer combo. Down the hallway is a bedroom with a 150x200cm bed and a big closet, and a living room with a sofa bed that pulls out to 140x200cm and a crib. Our place is close to Ålesund Airport. Ålesund airport. Great nature. Rural and quiet. Yet only 20 min. by car to Ålesund city center. My place is good for couples, lone travelers, and business travelers. Can also be suitable for a small family. (Extra mattresses).
