Family-friendly holiday rentals in Vale of Glamorgan

Perfect winter break. With a young family, we wanted a home from home experience with added relaxation for the adults! Honeycombe cottage was beautiful, comfortable and cosy. The hot tub was an added bonus! It had all the facilities to make life easier with the children around including a highchair and stair gates! We’d happily come back again and again - so much to do right on the doorstep too. Thank you x

Victoria was incredibly communicative, couldn’t ask for any more. The property is clearly the family home, in a lovely area of Cardiff - conveniently located for an 8 minute train journey into the city centre.

Absolutely loved staying here may bank holiday weekend. Location was stunning, safari tent was great fun. Definitely pack ear plugs as can get a little windy on the night. Can’t recommend this place enough!

It was a big and comfortable place to live. It was really clean, tidy and nice. The host, Richard and his partner Scott were so friendly and helpful. They greeted us with a warm welcome and guide us with the facilities and security in the house. The house have wonderful facilities including curved screen Smart TV with many channels and Netflix guest account , dishwasher and so on .There's also a beautiful backyard . Every room has its own TV as well. My family and I had a great stay in this lovely home as it was well-maintained by the host. It's only 9-10 minutes to queen street train station and St' david mall. Overall, my family members like this house very much and we would definitely come back to this house if we come to Cardiff again !!

Great house in the best possible location in Cardiff ideal for a long weekend/break. Sian was extremely helpful, making the arrival process extremely easy and always willing to assist with any request/question that we had. Very happy to recommend the house and host!!!

Amazing stay here with my husband. The cottage was perfect for a relaxing and quiet weekend. The breakfast basket was a lovely touch and everything was as described in the listing. Joy is a brilliant host checking in to make sure everything was going smoothly! Would definitely stay again!!

Fantastic stay, would definitely recommend if you’re ever in Cardiff. Location was spot on, only a 15 minute walk into central. The hot tub was also a lovely touch! 10/10 would recommend

We had a lovely stay for a few days at the Coach House. The accessible features made it possible for us to take a relative we additional needs for a special break. Kids loved exploring the farm and seeing all the animals, and of course the hot tub. John and Liz were really responsive and helpful with any questions. May not be ideal if you are a light sleeper as it's on a working farm but it didn't bother us.

Very homely welcoming feel. Well stocked fridge and generous breakfast provisions. Very pet friendly and accommodating of our dogs. Spotless and clean and well kept and home from home vibe. Charming decor. Hosts couldn't be more generous and considerate. Ivan and Jaine were so helpful friendly and welcoming. So quick to respond to anything extra we needed. We had such a great new year with our family living in the area which was made even better by this brilliant Airbnb. Thank you

We all had a wonderful time in Cardiff and the host and accommodation were faultless. An easy Uber ride into the city centre, lots of places to eat nearby, comfy beds and all the appliances you’d expect/need. 5 stars!🌟

We had a lovely 3 night stay at Jane’s cottage. We are a family of 4 - 2 girls (9 and nearly 11) and we took our cockapoo. We had enough room, the cottage was really private which was ideal for our dog. He absolutely loved the massive garden and my girls loved meeting the horses at the end. We were visiting family and so it was a perfect location for us. Jane gave great instructions to find the cottage and was very responsive. The welcome basket was also much appreciated! Thank you!!

The space met my needs and expectations. I was in Cardiff for a college friend’s 70th birthday. I’d lived a couple of streets away so knew the area. The location is extremely quiet and the bed very comfortable (I know that’s subjective). Shops, cafes and restaurants in the area are all walkable. Pontcanna Fields is a great outdoor area. My only complaint is the 2Mbps internet connection.

We had a fantastic stay at Niamh’s place. Lovely walks in surrounding area. Beautiful garden to relax in. Plenty of space. Could not fault it at all!

This is a lovely homely house, with fantastic decor . It’s about 10mins via taxi to Cardiff city centre. It’s a very quiet location and ideal for a short stay. Keith is an excellent host , he met us on arrival and made us feel very much at home .

Needed a place to stay for our group of friends to watch the rugby, Danny's place was just what we needed, room for us all, & within walking distance, weather permitting, of millennium stadium, large taxis cheap enough, if not. Like staying at a mate's house but your mate's not there 🤣 Great pub about 10 minutes away, The Lansdowne. Easy check in & out. Danny was very responsive to all our needs.

Great little flat in the centre of Cardiff, situated right between the bay and old town- walkable to both. Spotlessly clean and well stocked. Was a great stay - would recommend. Communication with host was great. Parking space was easy to access too.

The barn is beautiful, and we immediately felt at home. Everything you need to feel comfortable and enjoy your stay is provided, and there's plenty to do with Cardiff being close by. Highly recommend!

Tina and her partner Dom were amazing hosts. The flat is very clean, comfortable and has everything you need. Parking out the front of the house, easy access to Cardiff city by bus. Tina was kind enough to supply us with bread, milk, cold bottled water, jam, butter and porridge for no extra charge! Tina and Dom both made time for us - Dom even walked me down to the nearest bus stop even when he was busy. would definitely stay again. thanks to you both

Apartment was exactly as it was shown and described. Fantastic view and position perfect for us. Walk into the city along the river was pleasant and easy, likewise the bridge over to the lovely restaurants etc in the Bay. We will definitely book this apartment again when visiting Cardiff. I would highly recommend this as a place to stay in Cardiff within a short walking distance of the city centre. It felt like a home from home rather than a place to stay. Really good touches from Susan upon arrival. The patio area was an ideal place to wind down. I will definitely stay here next time I am in Cardiff!

Came up with some friends for Women's 6 Nations match at Principality Stadium. Julie was flexible with arrival time so we dropped bags and the car at midday and took the bus into the city centre. Got a taxi back after the match and a night out in Cardiff, location was perfect. House was clean and spacious. Julie had left milk and a few bits of food which was a lovely touch. We all enjoyed the Welsh cakes with our breakfast. I thought the price was very reasonable for what was included. Thank you for helping to make a really enjoyable weekend in Cardiff.

The annex is very convenient. We were 2 couples, and had enough space (one double room + 1 bed in the living room, as mentioned). On arriving, everything was set ready. The instructions were very clear. Sasha was very thoughtful and gave us recommandations for our trip, very helpful. We were offered many snacks in a mini fridge, which we enjoyed ! The house is at Sullly, accessible from Cardiff by bus, although we founded it more convenient to take a taxi (20pounds, 20min). Overall a great stay for a couple of days, thanks to our hosts' thoughtfulness !
