Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Vale of Glamorgan

A group of friends stayed here for the Rugby. A great house with enough space and an easy commute into Cardiff city Centre. Anna was great, very responsive and friendly. Highly recommend this place and host!

The house was gorgeous, had everything we needed and a secure outside area for our dog. We got parked on the side road right by the house. Perfect for Gavin and Stacey fans, Gwen’s is just around the corner and it’s only a 20 min walk to Marcos on Barry Island. Also only a short walk to the train station, we would love to stay again if in the area.

We had a lovely stay here and hope to come back again next year. The location is perfect, you can easily walk over to the island or further around the coast and have Asda just on the doorstep. You're also only a short drive from a whole lot of other attractions and walks, or visiting Cardiff. The train station is also just around the corner if you don't want to drive! The house itself is well equipped and feels comfortable for a family stay. They provided a stair gate and other equipment for our toddler which was a massive help. You are next to a road, but the back bedroom is nice and quiet and you don't really hear much with the windows shut at the front. The garden is a nice size and we enjoyed sitting out there of an evening. We would recommend this home to anyone visiting the area.

Rob’s property was so lovely. Perfect mix of character with modern amenities. Worked brilliantly for our needs - 3 generations, visiting for a family wedding. Great position close enough to walk (or a quick uber!). Only issue was parking on arrival as there were events taking place locally. This was quickly resolved by Susan. Would highly recommend and revisit again soon!

A lovely place to stay in a beautiful part of the world. We were taking part in the Dragon cycling event nearby and this was the perfect base. Sarah and Shaun were very friendly and welcoming. The place was very clean and comfortable. Everything was as per the description. Thank you.

5/5 stars, the house was immaculate, beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean and close to everything you needed. The tv had Netflix, Disney + etc so great for staying inside on rainy days. Tea, coffee, sugar, cotton pads and other essentials bits were supplied already. Sandra recommended local restaurants, pubs, places to visit as well as how long to walk / drive there. Barry island was only a 10-15 minute drive (it did take us 30 minutes in an uber on a busy and hot Saturday so keep traffic in mind), one of the recommended pubs was the captains wife which was excellent, loads of parking, just down the road and the food was incredible (just book in advance for a table, especially for Sundays). Loved the garden, great seating area, all very clean and well maintained and beds were super comfy. Honestly can’t fault it, sandra was a fantastic host, told us everything we needed to know and even left a little note to welcome us all.

Four adults and one dog stayed here to go and visit the Gavin & Stacey sites. Great access to all the places we wanted to visit. Premises has lovely sea views and is located behind electronic gates. Very quiet location will all the amenities and space we needed and more. Host was contactable if needed and the house has loads of information in to enhance the stay. A great place to say, well located, peaceful and well kitted out. Enjoyed our time here and for the price - great value

We spent a lovely week in Gareth’s property while we were working in the area. It had all the features we needed, and even with a few WiFi hiccups it was all resolved in the end. Gareth was easy to contact with prompt responses. He went out of his way to enable our stay to be the best it could

Was a great place to stay when we visited the Urdd Eisteddfod which was held in Margam Park this year. The house was very clean and Yan was very easy to get in touch with if we required anything. We have 4 young children, who loved the added bonus of the toys that were in the house. Everything you would need for a short stay was in the house. Thank you 😊

Enjoyed a couple of days here and as soon as we walked in we were impressed with the cleanliness and decor. Lovely to see the sea from the window. Sarah gave great instructions on how to find the place, how to check in, check out and is really friendly and helpful.

The lovely stay in the laundry cottage enhanced our holiday experience tremendously. The gardens are beautiful, the pool a joy to swim in and the surroundings peaceful and quaint. We walked to the nature preserve with amazing sand dunes and a big beach and Ogmore castle. Our hosts Lana and Rory were very responsive and accommodating. We are looking forward to coming back soon for more exploring.

Loved the Caravan clear instructions as to how to access and gain entry which was useful as we did not realise just how big the site was! It was very clean warm and comfortable also very well equipped. I have to say I did not read the instructions carefully enough and brought no bedding with us. This was resolved via the Reception on the site and for a small deposit we were provided with bedding which was delivered! Deposit returned on return of the bedding so no crisis. Lots of lovely walking from the caravan perfect for the dog. We were visiting friends in the area and would definitely consider coming again.

We had a fabulous three night stay in the patch cottage. Everything was perfect and couldn’t have been any better. As soon as we walked in it felt homely and welcoming; the amenities were great - though we didn’t use them. Weston-super-mare was but a 15-20 minute drive away. I can’t recommend this place enough, I will definitely be back! Thank you! 🫶🏽

The caravan was beautifully clean and easy to use lock box to get it. Good job as it tipped down on arrival! Great communication re accessing Netflix. (WiFi not really worth paying for, better to hot-spot or cast to tv) Beaches just a short stroll away and beautiful. Scoops ice cream on Coney beach was really fab! Thanks for a great weekend!

Would highly recommend Sidney’s caravan. It’s in a lovely peaceful location right next to the water. Pristine inside, with everything you need. Sidney was always responsive and flexible with check-in and out times, we really appreciated it.

Lee was extremely helpful and responded to messages quickly. He went over and above during our stay and was a fantastic host. It was nice to meet you Lee.

Absolutely lovely stay, would definitely stay again. We were attending an event at the Principality Stadium and this provided the perfect location to get into the city and back, without the city centre prices. The place was lovely, and very clean and tidy. It was well stocked with tea/coffee etc and lots of amenities should you have needed them. It has two double beds and a sofa should you need, for three adults there was plenty of space. Jolanta communicated really well and was always quick to respond and give us any information we needed. The place was even ready hours before check in time! Easy to find, great parking availability, and in a very nice area. Thank you for our stay! :)

Great place to stay for a weekend away in Cardiff. Short walk to Mermaid Quay. Really peaceful location. Spacious and very clean, comfy beds. Bonus of a secure parking space. Host was very friendly and easy to communicate with. Would 100% recommend.

The house was spotless, beautifully presented, and ideally situated just a short stroll from a local park and scenic walking trail. With a variety of restaurants and pubs within easy walking distance, it’s perfectly located for a relaxed and family-friendly weekend getaway.

Laura's place was clean and well presented, it had everything you could need in a home from home. Parking was easy and its only 15mins into the centre of town. I would definitely recommend it to anyone wanting a comfortable place to stay near Cardiff.

Very clean, Danielle was very active on updates and had very quick responses. Very nice flat and got some free snacks when we went in which was so kind. And had a handbook giving places in the area to visit. Perfect place to stay 100% recommend.

Absolutely loved our stay here! It was so cosy and lovely, walkable to Cardiff centre in a matter of minutes. The hosts had thought of everything we could possibly need and provided them. Check in super smooth and the interior is so nice. Definitely coming back here if we visit Cardiff again!
