Birgu/Vittoriosa is a medieval city surrounded by fortified walls and flanked by a sleek marina. The parish church is dedicated to St. Lawrence. It is one of the oldest cities, playing an important role in the Siege of Malta in 1565. The 0.5 km2 city is located on the south side of the Valletta Grand Harbour, with a long history of military and maritime activities. Phoenicians, Greeks, Romans Byzantines, Arabs, Normans, Aragonese and The Knights of Malta all shaped and developed Birgu.

My refurbished seafront first floor apartment facing the historical town of Senglea is situated in the victorious city of Birgu (Vittoriosa). Right into the spectacular Birgu's harbour creek this apartment enjoys 180 degrees unobstructed breath taking views. Valletta (World Heritage by Unesco) the capital city of Malta which has been also chosen as the City of Culture 2018 is reachable in only 15 minutes by ferry from my apartment. Ferry berths a few metres away from my place.

This apartment is located on the 3rd floor of a historic building, offering unrivalled views of the Grand Harbour and beyond. The property served as the residence and studio of celebrated Maltese mid-century artist Emvin Cremona. The highlight is the large private terrace, measuring 40sqm, where you can relax and take in the breathtaking views! This is also the perfect base for exploring Valletta, with many cultural attractions, restaurants and cafés within walking distance.

Valletta - street level accommodation

This is a typical Maltese home around two hundred years old with a private entrance door and an internal yard. It's a ground floor maisonette with an area of 60square metres which has been recently refurbished to high standards. This maisonette is located in a pedestrian street and within two minutes walk you find yourself near the seafront and a bus stop. Also within a five minutes walk you find yourself near the Basilica of Our Lady of Mount Carmel and the Manuel Theatre.
