Beach house holiday rentals in Vancouver Island

Jason is a friendly and approachable host. The property is comfortable, well equipped and easy to heat when necessary. The views are amazing and there is lots of local wildlife; we even saw humpbacks from the front room one evening! Location was good for Port Hardy and a lot of the North Island Trails. Worth every penny.

Absolutely stunning location - saw loads of wildlife from the terrace, and an amazing view over the water. Property was also very well supplied with a super modern kitchen and ample bed and bath space. Will be back!

We loved our stay here. The view from the full length windows and outdoor patio were breathtaking. We saw lots of wildlife: eagles, deer, seals, an otter and humpbacks. The kitchen was stocked and the bedding was very comfortable. It was beautifully decorated. We had fires on the beach each night while we enjoyed the peaceful surroundings. It’s a walkable distance to the Dolphin Resort restaurant where the food was excellent. We would rebook in a minute.

This the the best property we have ever stayed at and we have been at some wonderful properties. Right on Nanaimo bay. Views were stupendous. Easy stairs down to the shore. Brian responded to inquiries almost as quickly as Radar O’Reilly on MASH. The home has all the little touches that testifies that wis wife is involved in the upkeep. Would recommend highly. Would stay there again. Didn’t want to leave.

Marie’s home is one of my favorite Airbnb’s I have ever stayed. If I could give it more than 5 stars, I would. Everything was thought out for guests and lovely. We hope to come and stay again!

Amazing place to stay overlooking Salish Sea. Spent hours looking for seals and whales in the sea. Inside is modern, clean and had everything we needed! Host was incredibly responsive and helped out with all our requests. Thanks Christine!

The house is very comfortable and just as beautiful as the photos. The location is incredible - amazing views of the water, mountains, and big ships passing. It was so lovely to be able to just walk across the street and be on the beach with long walks possible in either direction. It was also really convenient for groceries and restaurants along 4th Ave, and an easy 15 minute drive to downtown and Stanley Island. We loved Vancouver and our stay in this beautiful home!

We had a fantastic stay - private, quiet, and relaxing. The home is well-appointed, with so many wonderful books to dive into. We enjoyed coffee on the deck listening to the ocean waves and our kids loved exploring the beach for shells and crabs. We highly recommend Strait Surf house for your visit to the Olympic area. It’s off the beaten path, but so worth it. Molly is a great host!

Our stay at Beaver Beach far exceeded out expectations. We had a late add on put us 1 person over the limit for the location and Richard accommodated us. He even put out a large tent with 2 high quality cots. Provided us with a mobile gas fire pit. Finding deep connection with one another sitting in the beach side cabin and talking during sun set. Some of our group opted sleep in cabin over handing the water for an incredible night sleep. (mosquitos came out at 5am haha). Overall an incredible weekend of connection, peace, privacy and quality time in a outstanding setting.

Perfect spot for a relaxing beach getaway. The house is steps from the sand, right on S. Chesterman’s Beach — unbeatable location. It was ideal for our family with young kids. We spent our days surfing, boogie boarding, building sandcastles, and exploring the tide pools. The house was clean, well-equipped, and cozy, with lots of space to spread out. Only a short drive to town for groceries and restaurants. We loved every minute and would definitely come back!

We absolutely loved our stay. It was peaceful with lovely (kid-safe) patios to watch birds and read a good book. Kitchen had everything we needed. Beds were very comfy. It felt very private and peaceful, but was just a one minute walk to town. 3min walk to the grocery store, which was so nice when traveling with a young family. The pack n play and high chair were great to have. We will definitely recommend to family and friends!

We had a fantastic stay! The place is one of three units on a beautiful waterfront lot. The townhouse itself is well decorated and spacious with a great view from the balcony and steps down to the water. Super clean and well stocked with linens, towels, and kitchen amenities. Our hosts were quick to respond and we had everything we needed for a beautiful weekend away - We would love to come back and stay for longer!

A very private well designed and fully stocked cottage like home. Superb deck with amazing view and quite a few steps down to a lengthy rocky beach. Good space for a couple and a bunk room for added persons. Main negative is simply a gravel moderately sloped 'road/path' to your cottage so one simply needs to be able to make the short journey to your great place. Responsive friendly attentive hosts. Recommended

We had a fantastic stay at Erika and Marty’s home! The house is perfectly located—just a short walk to downtown, the beach, great restaurants, and bars. It’s also very well equipped with everything we needed, and the cozy atmosphere truly made us feel at home. Erika and Marty were wonderful hosts, and we’d definitely love to come back and enjoy more of what Tofino has to offer. Highly recommend!

Exactly as advertised. Great for someone travelling with a pet. Large fenced back yard. 5 minute drive from downtown Qualicum and local beaches. Many outdoor trails in the area.

We had a fantastic stay at this lovely property while in town for our son’s graduation and visits with friends. The photos matched the space perfectly. It’s modern, very clean, and even more spacious than expected. The decor was welcoming and thoughtfully done. With cozy bedding, tasteful art, and a well-equipped kitchen. Check-in was seamless with clear, contactless instructions. The location is excellent, close to coffee shops, restaurants, groceries, and nature. It’s a quiet, peaceful area next to an oceanfront park (great for paddling) and Mt. Seymour (great for hiking). One note: there are quite a few steps, so it may be challenging for those with mobility issues. Christine was super friendly and responsive. We’d happily stay here again and highly recommend it!
