Cabin holiday rentals in Vanderpool

We had a great stay at this little cottage. It was peaceful and felt like you were in the middle of nowhere, yet only about 5 minutes from downtown Fredericksburg. Our favorite part were the animal friends that visited the back porch daily. Cute place!

The location was convenient and also nice and peaceful. The house itself was clean and charming with great views and plenty of space for a small group. The patio area was nice, but we didn’t use the pool because it needed a bit of cleaning. We enjoyed our stay here.

We really enjoyed our stay at this home. Quiet and lots of wildlife. Loved the ability to feed the deer and bring them close. Hot tub was great and everything was really comfortable.

We had a great stay! Everything was just as stated in the description..maybe better! The pool area is so nice, and the hot tub was perfect. We did encounter a few critters but I would say that's expected given the surroundings. Definitely make sure you wear sandals around the pool area .I almost stepped on a scorpion! We loved EVERYTHING about this place and would definitely come back and stay again.

We were looking for a little and found this place. From start to finish, Amy was responsive and very attentive to our questions. When we arrived, the”bunkhouse” was more roomy than we expected. Beautiful inside, beautiful surroundings and a beautiful pool area. We had a great time and would stay there again. Thank you Amy for the awesome stay.

Quiet, secluded location but still close enough to Fredericksburg For sightseeing and entertainment.

As a couple looking to get out of the city for a bit and hit the country, this was more than perfect. The price mixed with all the amenities this place has to offer makes it well worth it to anyone looking to take a small vacation. The hosts are very kind and respond very quick. I can’t wait to book this place again

My wife and I booked a last minute trip Fredericksburg, and our usual spot was already taken — but we’re so glad it was, because this place was an awesome find. The cabin has a rustic feel with tons of character. It was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. It’s located in a quiet, rural area — the perfect escape from city life. We loved watching the sunset over the hills from the porch. The hot tub and fire pit were great for relaxing in the evening, and the stars at night were incredible — way more than we’re used to seeing. The home is tucked away, with an easy 10 min drive to downtown Fredericksburg, all the local wineries, and grocery store. Sha was a great host — super easy to communicate with and made sure everything was taken care of from start to finish. We had a great time and would definitely stay here again.

Paul’s place was just right for the getaway we wanted. Spacious enough for staying a few days. We wanted to have a quiet place as our location to explore the hill country.

Excellent spot. Was even gifted some cacti clippings which was super thoughtful.

We had a wonderful stay. We felt like we were able to unplug and enjoy the lakes and hiking trails. The home itself was clean and comfortable. We had a great time!

My son, dog and I had the BEST time at the Buchanan cabins!!! The location can’t be beat, and the grounds were beautiful! We had private access to the river steps below from the cabin and enjoyed every minute of it! Would 100% recommend these cabins if you want an excellent Frio experience!

Veronica’s place was perfect little weekend getaway! It was very clean and perfect location on a clean, clear River in the back yard just steps away from the cabin. I would definitely be back! Felt right at home.

Can't say enough good things about this place. Tom has thought of everything anyone would need to have a great vacation. The location is perfect for access to the river. We spent most of our time at the river sitting in lawn chairs and taking a dip when we got hot. We did not use the canoe and kayaks that were available to us but will next time we go. The house is like a cabin with a screened in porch on the inside and a deck to sit outside. There are several outside seating areas to spread out if a group stays there. Lots of room for kids to play outside. Two nice bathrooms. A kitchen is stocked with spices, condiments, cutting boards, appliances and utensils, more than other Air bnbs. Would give it six stars if I could.

The cabin was great! Responsive and thoughtful hosts and clean place with a great DVD selection for the kids. The access to the water is very easy with plenty of life vests and paddles. Kayaking is easy in the part of the river and great for kids to start on. The hosts provide plenty of towels, water, and equipment for the guests to enjoy without trying to figure out all the things to pack. 10/10 experience. Will book again 👍🏾

This is our 4th time staying here I believe. Always very clean and cozy, great hosts! Will be back!

The place was very nice. It was very quiet. You can hear so many different kinds of birds singing. It was great to sit at the porche to enjoy the nice weather, to read peacefully and talking with my husband. The house inside is very nice and clean. We had a great time there. This is the cutest little cabin! We loved the Western decor! It was very clean and stocked with everything we needed. It’s only a few minutes away from Main Street and also from Mansfield Park, where we watched the Memorial Day rodeo. I highly recommend this cabin!

Utopia retreat was as advertised, we had a nice stay! It was close to Garner and Lost Maples and we were able to enjoy it with our dog, for a $15 fee. Note: make sure to bring your own soaps for the shower as they aren’t provided.

We loved our stay at Loma Linda! Beautiful home and peaceful back yard. Would recommend this place for anyone that wants a quiet stay in the country.

Beautiful place, Julie is so nice and friendly. The fresh eggs for breakfast was awesome, peaceful surroundings and fun place close by. love this place
