In the village, there is a convenience store, and Hörnefors is about eight kilometers away – there are grocery stores, a pharmacy, bathhouse, gym and train station.

Arnäsleden with great opportunities for hiking passes just a few hundred meters from the house. Inside Örnsköldsvik, there is also the well-known adventure pool Pardiset.

Alla årstider njuter man gärna i soffan framför kaminen, efter en promenad/skidtur i skogen mot utsikt över närliggande Byskefjärden eller en promenad efter en mysig krokig skogsväg (reflexer krävs). En annan tur 2-3 km, är efter älvspromenaden till centrum. Där det finns ex livsmedels., apotek, pizzeria, restaurang och Byske Gästgiveri, 2nd hand o en kuriosabutik! A cottage with the comfort of modern people of today but still with the atmosphere of back in the old days. This is tho cottage for you if you like to visit a traditional Swedish house, and like a place to relax. But here is also many possibilities for activities.
