The B&B is an apartment with its own entrance, private shower/toilet space, and is within cycling distance of the station in Veendam, from where the train to the beautiful city of Groningen departs. There is also a lot to see in the province itself. However, you always return to the peace and space of B&B HoutStee after a busy day. You can relax under the veranda, enjoy bird sounds. Possibly in good weather, turn on the BBQ. Everything is available for this. You also have 2 bicycles at your disposal.

B&B de Bovenbouw: Loft in characteristic school

In the school building where we live as a family, we transformed the superstructure into B&B. In the 5 meter high local, we built a loft where there is a double bed and 2 children's rooms. We give sports classes in the gym, feel free to join or go for monkey cages with your children when it rains. Outside they can feed the chickens, pick up eggs, play on the square and directly in front of the school is a playground. At 5 minutes distance, a beach/nature reserve. Good to know: it's without breakfast.

Studio Raif | Authentic room with bathroom

The B&B is located in a municipal monument from 1871. You can stay overnight with a maximum of four people in two authentic double rooms. If you come with 4 people, you will share the bathroom. If you come with 1 or 2 people, the luxurious bathroom is only for you. The rooms have a beautiful old beamed ceiling, double bed, table and chairs and a TV. Parking is available in front of the door and the center is within walking distance. Also enjoy the garden, with a canopy and an fireplace.

Directly at the entrance of the Borgerswold park and a nice starting point for bike rides, do not forget a visit to Groningen.

The Tribe: special loft in elementary school

Make some memories at this unique and family-friendly place. We converted the auditorium of the school in which we live as a family, together with an artist, into a special loft with 3 bedrooms. Downstairs are play corners for children and guests are allowed to use the gym where CrossFit lessons are also provided. Behind the school is a great place with sandpit and picnic table where you look out over the Groningen fields. Relax while your children enjoy themselves!

Beautiful luxuriously furnished tent in the countryside

You'll never want to leave this charming place. The tent is fully equipped, a complete kitchen and a "big green egg" to prepare the most delicious meals. If you don't feel like cooking at the end of your day, I'm happy to do it for you! I also want to make breakfast for you while you enjoy the morning sun and the twittering of the birds. There is a shower and toilet in the farm at 20 passes distance all for your own use.

Behind our monumental farm there is a detached wooden building with unobstructed views of the Hunze. The B&B is full of comforts, and the kitchen is equipped with a fridge, kettle and coffee maker.
