The Nellie is a four-season houseboat, located in the wilderness of the Gatineau River; a boat-in location in summer, accessed from our home parking 2kms from the boat, or via two public boat launches 10km away. We offer canoe rentals and ferry options below. Before winter, Nellie returns home to freeze into the ice; providing access by foot 30m from our home parking, and electric heat. She has a bucket toilet on board, a summer outhouse, and winter access to our shared indoor basement bathroom.

This cottage is a hidden gem! The location is peaceful, romantic, and absolutely perfect for a relaxing family getaway. It’s also very kid-friendly — our children had a great time enjoying nature, the open space, and the safe swimming area. Access to the cottage was very easy, and everything was well prepared upon arrival. We especially enjoyed the kayaking, fishing, and having BBQs by the water. Jacques was helpful and responsive, and the overall experience was smooth and enjoyable. Highly recommended for families or couples looking to disconnect and enjoy the beauty of nature.

An Absolutely Amazing Stay with Superb Hosts! Our recent stay at this Lake Front Chalet, was nothing short of fantastic! From the moment we booked, the hosts were incredibly responsive, accommodating, and proactive, making the entire process seamless and stress-free. Reading the reviews beforehand definitely helped us envision and prepare for the property. The layout of the home was absolutely great, offering a wonderful flow throughout. All the rooms are very large, providing ample space and comfort for everyone. The amenities provided were fantastic, adding so much to our enjoyment. We especially loved the huge open-concept design with the large windows, which created such an inviting and bright atmosphere. We had a truly wonderful time and highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a superb getaway. Thank you to our hosts for such an amazing experience!

The location was ideal – a perfect blend of natural beauty and proximity to the city. What truly amazed us was how much more beautiful it was in person compared to the already great photos. The serene lake view, the perfectly stocked kitchen, and the immaculate cleanliness all contributed to an unforgettable stay. You can feel the warmth and care in every detail. The hosts were also fantastic, with quick and kind communication. They even helped us retrieve keys we'd accidentally left behind!
