Incredible views. Highly recommend renting a scooter to make commute up and down the hill much easier. 10/10 would stay here again.

The “Hydrangea Villa” at the very top of Villa Monti was a dream to stay in. The views were outstanding and all the windows open to hear the birds singing and allow cool breezes to flow thru (there is an excellent A/C system in this upper space as well). The downstairs bedroom & bath was just as clean, but not as cool as the “tower”. Communication pre-arrival was prompt and the onsite manager “MG” is friendly, attentive, knows Varenna well and gave us great suggestions for dinners & hikes ( do not miss hiking to the cemetery, waterfall and castle)! He carried our ( heavy!) bags up the 99 steps to our room- thank you MG!! The pool, although small was very refreshing and the area around it so pleasant to sit and gaze over Lake Como while drinking wine. I would not hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend Villa Monti to anyone traveling to beautiful Varenna.

Simona’s place was very comfortable and cosy it has everything you need and it is a very quiet and peaceful place with a beautiful garden and a lovely atmosphere. We enjoyed our stay very much. Highly recommended

This place is amazing! The quiet nights on the patio, or walking down to the lake to enjoy the lights in the castle with evening setting on Lake Como were so wonderfully relaxing. I would recommend to anyone wanting to escape the insanity of Varenna. Other pluses. Town parking pass for Dervio. Amazing breakfast waiting for the ferry there, full kitchen for spectacular sunset meals with the best view of the lake!

This was one of our favorite apartments yet. Magical!! Pros: the view was stunning. We are active and fit so we didn't mind the steep 10 minute walk up from town to the house. We took advantage of the outdoor table for dining and drinks. We took a half day off from taking the bus to other towns to sightsee, just to relax on the sun loungers in the private side yard. Cons: The listing indicated that cooking basics like olive oil and ground pepper would be there, but they were not. My daughter and I cook at least a few full meals at every Airbnb so this what frustrating for us, especially as we had already been to the grocery store and were starting to cook when we noticed:( Note: We did alert the host about the olive oil but he did not opt to provide us with any. Stefano was wonderful in every other way so this surprised us.

Valentina's apartment is very clean and beautiful. The view of Lake Maggiore is fantastic. We were there at the beginning of June and it was really quiet at night, you could sleep with the windows open. Everything is in walking distance. A parking space would be helpful, but you read in the description that there is no parking space and no air conditioning, so you know in advance. We would come back, for us it was the perfect, small apartment! 💖 Thank you Valentina! 🥰

Kicca's accommodation was exactly as described. The garden with access to the lake is fantastic. Unfortunately, we caught a very rainy time. Then you should consider that the apartment is very small and the ventilation in the bathroom was not sufficient, so that it partly came to an unpleasant smell and humidity. If it is warmer and sunnier, however, this should not be a problem. Very close to Bellagio by car. Shop beforehand - no great shopping nearby. Overall recommended!

Beautiful, very stylishly furnished apartment with a breathtaking view of Lake Maggiore and the countryside. The kitchen is well-equipped, the bed is comfortable, and the terrace with a view is a great highlight. We can definitely recommend Matteo's apartment. We felt very comfortable in Matina's apartment. The location is perfect for walks and swimming in the Maggia or Melazza - which our dog also liked. Gladly again!

It was a great stay, Diego was very helpful throughout providing great recommendations and was quick to respond to any queries! Would definitely stay again it was a beautiful spot, lovely restaurants nearby, 10/10 🇮🇹

We had a wonderful stay at Carmen's place. The room was great and had everything you needed - even tips for hiking and eating. If you have any questions, Carmen was quick and super helpful. And because that wasn't enough, there was also an idyllic pool and plenty of help and support for inquiries or special requests. We certainly won't be the last time we come here and thank Carmen for her great hospitality!

Very nice accommodation with a large terrace. The only disadvantage is that it is directly on the main road and therefore relatively loud traffic noise.

The Airbnb is terrific. Just as described in the photos. The bedroom is very quiet and the bed is comfortable. Living room with kitchen very well equipped and the outdoor seating area nice and sunny. Bathroom with good shower and separate toilet. The garden and pool are wonderful. You have a lot of privacy. Parking is available. The hosts are extremely warm and yet withdrawn. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact them. It is a gem and highly recommended. We would come back here any time.

This was one of the best Airbnbs that I stayed at. It was spacious and had a great terrace looking over the Swiss mountains. I highly recommend! Alice is amazing and friendly, even offered to drives is to the trains station after checkout. If you are looking for a calm and peaceful getaway this is your place! One tip if booking: rent a car (parking was available). We didn’t do this counter to Alice’s recommendation, so we wound up hiking up and down the mountain to get into town. It’s was a lot, but the bus system is very reliable. Would rent a car if we rebooked.

The host Andrea was really very nice and always helpful. He was quick to respond to messages. I can really only recommend it. Varenna is very easy to reach by bus/shuttle bus. It was as described in the photos :)

You feel comfortable immediately, the beds were comfortable and the apartment very clean. The location is very quiet and the view was enchanting, especially the morning sun on the lake. Would book this Airbnb again in a heartbeat!

Silvia’s place is perfect for a stay in Como. The location couldn’t be better — it’s walking distance to the train station, the pier, and the bus stop to Menaggio and Bellagio. The apartment is super spacious, really clean, has a super comfy bed, and is fully equipped with everything you need. The washing machine was definitely a big plus. Silvia is incredibly kind and helpful from the very beginning. We totally recommend it — book it without a second thought!

I had a wonderful stay at the apartment and felt truly welcomed by Chiara and her family. The place is simple, clean, and efficient – perfect for me to explore the area and enjoy the surrounding nature. I would definitely love to stay here again!

Quiet and great place, the apartment was as described in the advertisement. We were 6 adults who had a great week in the apartment with great views. We rented bikes from @Bike it! Bellagio, very good service here too. Nice to cycle to experience new places, the ferry from Bellagio went to both sides of the lake and was easily accessible 😊

The home was very welcoming, clean, and beautifully rustic. The house is in a quiet location with a lovely view of the lake, and the directions we were given allowed to get there with no problem. Also, we were greeted by fresh eggs, juice, sweets, sparkling wine and other gifts at the place, which is very nice and commendable. Any recommendations for this place if you want a quiet and enjoyable vacation, we felt right at home.

Absolutely incredible place. We didn’t want to leave the apartment! The view is probably the best we have ever seen. Mattie and Els are great, the flat was clean. We cooked a couple nights and sat out on the balcony enjoying the view. There’s lots of information which will help. We were able to walk down to the town using their advice through a footpath and also the free bus service is extremely helpful, especially when you’ve had a couple bottles of wine! Would definitely recommend. Thank you Mattie and Els!
