Holiday rentals with beach access in Viana do Castelo District

Very nice apartment, quiet, with a nice view of the wild coast. Opposite there is a supermarket, which is very convenient. We had a one-day delay on our arrival due to a transport issue and Mariana adapted, thank you again. We'll be happy to come back to this apartment if we go back to Ancora.

Easy check-in and good description of the accommodation. It was much bigger than we thought. Kitchen equipped with salt / pepper / oil and plenty of dishes. The dishwasher is washed in 20 min. wow! Lots of fluffy blankets and everything being clean. Good heating. Maybe we would have installed the patio higher up to see the sea better. The mattress on the main bed was very hard. We're not used to it and we had back pain. We slept the last 2 nights on the couch which was super comfortable. Owner very responsive to our questions and requests. I would this property.

The house is very good, clean, comfortable, with all equipment for a great stay. Tania is a kind person, concerned with offering the best, and quick responses. It made our check-out flexible, and since the wi-fi was slow on account of the supplier company, it immediately provided a signal repeater that solved the problem. I would!

Great location with plenty of space, very clean and very accessible location for water sports at the beach from the Duotone pro centre. Private car parking was excellent.

very pleasant stay, we stayed at T0, all very clean and tidy, the villa is very pleasant and is in a very quiet place with a beautiful view right at the door, there are creeks and the sound of nature only, José was always available for us to help in everything, it was very nice, the house has everything necessary to spend a very quiet days in nature, it was all amazing, if you think about going back to the Serra do Gerês, with all the certainty that I will look again for the villa to rent out in it

What a great place...could not ask for a better location. Loved our walks every evening along the river, that is practically right across the street, to the mouth of the Atlantic. Many great restaurants within easy walking distance. But, we also cooked in a lot of nights...well appointed kitchen with just about everything we needed. We stayed for a month and were very comfortable. While we did not get to meet our hosts in person, they responded to our inquiries quickly. We already have it booked in the autumn for a return trip!

- Host: very communicative & helpful. Provided bus timetable. Upon my request, Luis even provided local church times & recommendations for alternative accommodation as we wanted to stay longer in Gerês and Luis’ place was unfortunately booked for those dates. - Location: next to flowing river. Close to PR6 & PR3 TBR hiking trails. 2min walk to 201 bus stop. 12min walk to Geres shops but not on the main road so it is quieter. Some noise from apartment neighbours but not too disturbing. Entire unit block seems to be Airbnb/holiday rentals, so in the peak times I imagine it would be busier & noisier. (I stayed in May). - Space: small, but practical. Might be cramped for 4 guests, for 2 guests it’s OK. A shame it doesn’t have a balcony, there are other rentals in the block that do. - Amenities: small kitchen but well-equipped. I appreciated the cooking oil, salt etc. No washing machine but has clothesline - Bed: double bed was comfortable. I did not try the sofa bed.

spacious, bright and very well located apartment with a superb view. We felt very happy there. The garage is very convenient for storing things. The only drawback is the rather random parking.

I truly loved this rental, and will definitely stay here again. It is clean, spacious, and so conveniently located. Pedro and Inez were very helpful and communicative. I loved everything about Casa da Figueira!

Peaceful and clean place with a unique location.

The small house is a wonderful holiday destination. It is very lovingly and at the same time practically furnished. So you have everything you need. The location directly by the sea is great. It is also good that there is a fireplace, it can be uncomfortably cold in the evening. I found the conservatory very practical, it heats up during the day and you can use the heat for the house. It also serves as the connection between the house and the bathroom - very well solved. We also used the barbecue a lot, especially since there is fresh fish in the fish shop around the corner. We felt very comfortable and would be happy to come back.

We love our stay! The house was impeccably clean and comfortable to welcome us. Cristina and her husband were very friendly and attentive! The outdoor space is excellent for enjoying family moments, as well as the view from the kitchen/living room, every day we dine with a view of the sunset. The house is very close to supermarkets, restaurants and even the beach and the walkways. We really like it!

Amazing stay. This place is really cozy, with a stunning view from the bedroom.

The stay at Ricardo's was great! Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by his wife. She also explained everything to us and provided a fruit basket. The location of the accommodation is good, in a few minutes you can walk to the beach. The only disruptive factor is the road next to the house, where some cars pass by and the train, which passes by on average once an hour. Overall, however, we liked it very much and we would recommend the place to everyone!

We have had an excellent time. The town of Gerês and São Bento da Porta Aberta provided a quiet visit to Gerês and São Bento da Porta Aberta. Great location with restaurants and mini-markets nearby so we can make/have lunch. The house allows us to go hiking or long runs in the middle of nature observing small streams and beautiful landscapes. It was a very good experience. The house was in great condition and has all the conditions to receive families. Thanks to Sara who guided us in our stay and who didn't let us miss anything.

Maria and her husband were incredibly kind to me and my family / friends. We came from all over with young children and everyone had the most amazing time, food, hospitality, wine, good vibes all round. Maria kindly let us stay an extra night, and graciously bought us lots of wine and extras. I had a long lovely chat with Maria and we spoke about the world and life. I will always remember this place and the wisdom it has taught me. Thank you Maria for being a lovely human being ! All our love Sophie tommy and Quinn x

First of all Victoria and Luis have been the perfect hosts. Super friendly and helpful and always there when we had a question. The apartment is very clean with all amenities you need and perfectly located in best proximity to the wonderful Cabadelo beach. The balcony is the perfect place to enjoy the sunset after a day at the beach overlooking the pine trees and the rivermouth. We enjoyed our stay a lot and will come back for sure!!! Thanks Victoria and Luis for being such great hosts.

We had a wonderful time The apartment matched the pictures and great views from the balcony. The communication with Laura is good and was quick to respond. It is a nice small village with a good train connection to several villages. In the village of Caminha, you can take a water taxi over the river Mino to Spain. Restaurants, supermarket are within walking distance. At the beginning of September there was a village party with a fair at the door for 3 days. Very cozy, you could see parades from the balcony in no time. I would recommend the apartment and the place Vila Praia de Ancora to anyone.

Amazing host and lovely apartment ! Maurício could not have nicer or more helpful - he was definitely the highlight of my stay. From meeting you at check in to giving local recommendations to going above and beyond to make sure the apartment was in perfect condition. For the apartment, I appreciated the heating, comfortable bed and sofa, good wifi, and lovely views from the balcony. Having the beach only a couple minutes’ walk is a real plus that both my dog and I enjoyed. Because there is so much to do in the area I didn’t use the pool/gym as I planned, but it looked really nice. Finally I found the locals quite friendly on walks around, which I appreciated. If you’re thinking of a stay, book without hesitation!
