Farmstay holiday rentals in Viana do Castelo District

Sofia was very communicative throughout, and provided great recommendations around the local area including a guide book when we arrived. The house was in beautiful surroundings and the pool was amazing. There was another family on site, but we barely saw them so it felt private. Everything was clean and we had everything we needed for a very relaxing, enjoyable stay in North Portugal.

wow! the grounds and views of this place are something money can't buy, the memories of looking over the national park from the stunning pool will stay with me forever... we spent 90% of our time outside, making use of the bbq every night. we were 4 adults and 2 children, thus indoor space was just enough for sleeping and bobbing I and out, not quite enough to all sit and watch the tc, but you just don't want to do that anyway. more than enough though if its just 4 people. there are loads of toys in the basement which we made use off - table tennis and there are also kayaks and access to river if you're brave! close to waterfalls and hikes and Flore will send you many recommendations. was just a beautiful place to stay. Flore, my only criticism is please provide more fans as high summer is very hot at night.

Staying at Eugénia's place was absolutely delightfull. The house is beautiful, cozy and has everything you might need. The surrounding area is peaceful and beautiful with loads to explore. If you want peace and tranquility this is the place for you. we had an amazing time! Eugénia was extremely helpful at all times and an amazing host. If you going to Peneda-Geres and want to stay in a traditional vila we're you feel relaxed and at peace this is the place!

We spent 4 weeks at Natalia's place in May 2025. It is a lovely, spacious, family home with character and had everything we needed. We enjoyed the sun terrace for eating outside and relaxing, reading. Large kitchen and dining room. Upstairs has a comfortable lounge area. Bedrooms were generous sizes, 2 of them have their own private bathrooms. The other 2 share a bathroom. A beautiful mature and fully fenced garden which was secure and great for our dog. Location great, 15 to 20 mins drive to the nearby towns of either Ponte de Lima or Viano Do Costello, both of which well worth spending some time exploring. Both towns have an abundance of amenities eg supermarkets, restaurants, cafes etc. We also did day trips to Porto and Braga which are 1 hour or less away by car. Within a few steps of the house you have the river Lima with beach and picnic area on its banks, and the "Ecovia" trails for walking, cycling. The setting is truly stunning. Overall, a wonderful place.

Passei um fim-de-semana maravilhoso nesta casa em Moreira, Monção. A localização é perfeita—numa zona sossegada rodeada por vinhas de Alvarinho, mas a poucos minutos do centro histórico. A casa estava impecavelmente limpa, bem equipada e até encontramos um agrado de produtos locais à chegada. Foi inesquecível acordar com vista para o vale do Minho e terminar o dia no terraço a ver o pôr-do-sol. O João foi sempre atencioso e cheio de boas dicas e sempre disponível sempre que necessário . Recomendo vivamente e quero muito voltar!

Adroramos,excelente para umas férias em família. a piscina é muito agradável com bastantes espreguiçadeiras, a área de convívio(com matraquilhos,ping pong.ja tem la tudo o que é preciso, raquetes de ténis as bolas e etc)foi nos muito útil para colmatar o tempo que não dava para estar na piscina assim como o campo de ténis. uma experiência para repetir,sem dúvida.

What an amazing house! The drive is down a steep lane and then you arrive at the wonderful house. Perched by the lake (grassy banks leading down to lake with pontoon with steps) the house is set in the hill surrounded by beautiful trees. An amazing terrace with picture perfect view across the lake. Swimming pool lovely temperature. We are outside on the terrace every night and swam in the lovely lake every day. Vicente was the most wonderful host. He met us to help direct us to the house and showed us around. Any question I had he was quick to reply. The house had everything you needed for a comfortable stay. Thank you 😊

I had an exceptional stay at this Airbnb, largely thanks to our incredible host Ella. She went above and beyond to assist us, not only organizing meeting rooms but also arranging meals and providing restaurant recommendations in the neighborhood. Her responsiveness was outstanding; it felt like she was always on standby, ready to help with whatever we needed. I can't thank her enough for making our visit so smooth and enjoyable. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a hassle-free experience!

Foram uns dias muito bem passados. Estava tudo muito bom! O Sr. Carlos e os pais são muito amáveis. É, sem dúvida, um sítio que voltarei quando for novamente para esses lados.

Séjour en famille de quelques nuits très agréable. Joli environnement avec chevaux et moutons, très appréciés par les enfants. Le logement est conforme aux photos et descriptif. Très bon Acceuil et communication avec Inès.

We were 2 families staying together and we had ample space in this well appointed sizeable villa in sleepy local village outside of Viana do Castelo, which is a nice town. There are a few local restaurants in the village and a cafe/bar a short walk down by the river. The river wasn't swim-able though. We spent time relaxing by the lovely saltwater pool which isn’t overlooked and is set in the secluded gardens overlooking fields. We felt a car was essential to visit local towns and national parks. The cleaner came mid way through our 2 week stay and changed bedding towels and cleaned throughout, which was a nice bonus. Jose was there to greet us and gave us helpful local advice We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 week stay and would recommend the villa.

Our stay at Casa dos Mirtilos in Germil was truly wonderful. Such a beautiful, peaceful location on the outskirts of a charming mountain village. Perfect for wildlife lovers. The garden was full of birdsong and butterflies, we even had breakfast visit from a pine marten! Bring your binoculars. There are lots of paths and quiet mountain roads for walking. Daniela was a brilliant host and was very responsive to messages and gave us good recommendations for local gastronomic delights. We had a wonderful week and would encourage anyone who loves being out in nature to stay at Casa do Mirtilos. Thank you Daniela.

The villa was absolutely beautiful, in a fantastic location, halfway up a mountain. The views across the valley were stunning and the sunsets really were a sight to behold. We were nervous to be the first visitors on Airbnb, but these nerves disappeared as soon as we arrived. The gardens were stunning, with bees and butterflies around constantly. The pool was lovely and was big enough for all 5 of us to use at once. Inside, the villa was beautifully decorated in the Portuguese style, with contemporary bathrooms and a well equipped kitchen. The only downsides were hard beds and not having a local restaurant that we could walk to, the closest shop / bar is a 2 minute drive or a 20-30 minute up hill walk. We were happy to drive and there were taxi details left if we had needed them. If you don't mind navigating the country roads, this place would work for you. We really did have a lovely stay and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a very peaceful break!

Casa De Naceiros is an ideal place for families and small groups who are looking for a quiet and comfortable place in the area. It has easy access to highways to reach Porto, Braga, Galicia, etc in very little time. Ponte de Lima is only 10 minutes away, with a gorgeous old town and beautiful river. The house is very comfortable on a single floor and the host extremely responsive. We highly recommend it.

Increíble en todos los aspectos, la casa es enorme, es un pazo, con todas las comodidades y cuidada al detalle, no le faltó nada, la zona es fantástica, con unas vistas maravillosas y la piscina de 10. Rui nos atendió muy bien, encantador tanto él como si mujer.

Quinta do Bento Novo is a delightful and wonderful manor house and grounds, located at the edge of typical village overlooking beautiful countryside. Paulo was a perfect host. He could not have been more helpful before we arrived and was waiting to great us upon our arrival to gave us a tour around his family's ancestral home, which was greatly appreciated. Throughout our stay, he made himself available to answer our questions and help us get the most out of our stay. The house itself is wonderfully historic, spacious, and comfortable, with every facility one could need. The grounds are stunning and a joy to stroll around. I picked and ate my first (ever) orange straight from the tree, at Paulo's kind invitation (and it was delicious). Supermarkets and restaurants are within easy striking distance, as are any number of wonderfully historic sites to visit and the beach is close also. In short, we could not rate this property highly enough and plan to return as soon as we are able.

Nous avons passé 2 jours superbes. Les hôtes sont très accueillants et réactifs. La maison est impeccable. Chaque chambre possède sa propre salle de bain. Rien ne vaut le fait que tous les matins, nous avions le petit déjeuner à la porte. Un vrai luxe. Nous tenons à vous remercier pour votre gentillesse. nous reviendrons avec plaisir.

A Quinta da Toural é uma quinta absolutamente maravilhosa para um grupo de amigos ou uma familia grande. É composta por uma casa grande, a casa principal com 4 suites, dotadas de ar condicionado, tv, estores eléctricos e casas de banho enormes! Depois ha mais 3 casinhas T1, de 1 quarto, sala, kitchenette e casa de banho. E ainda outra casinha T0. Todos os quartos e casas de banho tem a mesma dimensão e escala, ou seja, são equivalentes em termos de qualidade! A quinta tem imensos animais muito queridos! 2 póneis, cabras, 1 porca e um Emu (primo da Avestruz). As fotografias do anúncio não fazem jus à paisagem maravilhosa, à piscina com vista panorâmica e aos jardins muito bem cuidados. Adorámos mesmo e queremos voltar para o ano! Éramos um grupo de 15 adultos e é tudo tão espaçoso que nem sentíamos que éramos tantos! O anfitrião é muito atencioso e comunicativo! Está sempre disponível para ajudar!

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans cette maison. Elle est vraiment très bien décorée, avec beaucoup de goût ce qui fait qu’on s’y sent vraiment très bien ! Le jardin est vraiment très agréable ! La maison est très bien équipée (wifi, SMART TV, cuisine avec lave vaisselle lave linge four cafetière dolce gusto, etc…). Elle est située dans un village très paisible, avec une vue magnifique, on peut facilement aller faire des balades. Proche de Coura pour aller faire les courses ou aller au restaurant. Beaucoup de choses à visiter à 1h maximum de route. Le point négatif pour nous est le bassin sans filtration qui n’est pas vraiment une piscine, je préfère le noter pour certains voyageurs qui pourraient être déçus, mais cela ne m’empêche pas de mettre 5 étoiles à ce logement pour toutes les autres qualités !

Peaceful and calm with an amazing pool and backyard area. We really enjoyed our stay! The host was kind and made our stay enjoyable.
