Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Vila do Bispo

Such a lovely apartment in a great location. It felt both homey and like a wonderful escape. Plenty of space, including a covered patio and a little viewing deck. Very easy to check in and out. We’d stay here again!!

My sister and I stayed in Andrea’s lovely home in Raposeira and enjoyed the peaceful surroundings as well as the spacious apartment which felt more like a big house! The beds were very comfortable and the surrounding area quiet and peaceful and very close to some amazing beaches. Mornings at the pool were highly enjoyable as well. All in all we had a great time and can recommend this great apartment ☀️

We thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of our stay and loved the apartment. The views are stunning and being positioned adjacent to a nature reserve ensures quietness and privacy. The balcony and roof top terrace are 5 star! The apartment is very well apointed and equipped allowing for meals etc to be easily prepared if one wants a break from the local resturants. I have to make special mention of the very comfortable wide beds - my wife and I have booked accomodation at many different rentals in Salema and our general experience has been particularly uncomfortable small beds. This is quite the opposite at Casa Alvorada. There are a few flights of stairs to climb to get to the apartment from the parking area which is not a problem at all and well worth it for the amazing views. If you are compromised in any way, this may be a challange but Robert John made us well aware of the stairs prior to booking and paying. Would love to stay at Casa Alvorada again, highly recommended!

We had a fabulous time at Paul's place. The apartment is big with large bedrooms, plenty of storage and a lovely terrace with loungers and a table for outdoor dining. Kitchen has everything you need. The apartment is in a quiet residential area, with a heated pool which was lovely to relax in. Burgau is an ideal place to stay, especially if you are looking for a quieter place but with plenty of great restaurants and the beautiful beach less than 10 minutes’ walk. We will definitely come back to this place if we come back to the Algarve! Thank you, Paul, for all the recommendations too.

Cláudia is such a kind and warm Person. We immediately felt at home. The Interieur is lovely and detailed, the view is stunning. She was very easy to reach if questions came up and super helpful with recommendations. We felt very welcome and will surely come back :) - the Cats were a super cute plus. We stayed as a couple for 4 nights at Kirsten’s place. It is a well-designed and clean ground floor apartment with 2 bedrooms, an open living area and a well-equipped kitchen. All fixtures and appliances seem new and worked well. The coffee machine is wonderful. We also appreciated the washer, very comfortable bed and bedding and large outdoor courtyard. Kirsten and Joao are truly thoughtful and responsive hosts. The location of the apartment was perfect for grocery shopping in vila do bispo and for exploring local beaches (including one of our favorites Praia de Furnas 7 min drive). We highly recommend this Airbnb. Great for a long or short stay.

Gorgeous beach just a little walk away. Town is very nice w beach bars etc. house has awesome views. Views when in pool are not good due to wall. Suggest to maybe put up acrylic wall? Host was super responsive. We loved our stay at this very large house!

Very cosy cottage like feel, we had a great 4 night stay. 2 adults + baby. Plenty of room upstairs. Outdoor space was great, beautiful views across the hills and very peaceful street so no noise while we were there. Nearby campsite is a 5-10 mins walk from the house, handy for using the restaurant/shop there or takeaway pizzas :) Easy access to local beaches and bigger towns (like Lagos) by car. Supermarkets and restaurants nearby too. Everything you need in the house if you want to make lunch, dinner, etc. Recommend!

We loved our stay at Casa de Migges - one of the best Airbnbs we have ever stayed in. It was very clean, spacious, and beautifully decorated. We felt right at home and loved that we were able to cook, do laundry, and enjoy the pool. The beds were comfortable, bathrooms were modern and spacious, and the neighbourhood was cozy and quiet. We also loved that each room had air conditioning that worked beautifully and was not noisy. A perfect stay and we would definitely stay here again. Caroline was wonderfully responsive and friendly. Perfect villa in a quiet place with surf all around the area

We loved our stay here in Sagres! The views were amazing, the heated pool was a nice touch, and comfortable beds for everyone! We had 2 families totaling 11 and we had plenty of room. The walk to the beach was only 5 minutes and it was gorgeous. The jasmine in the backyard was a favorite for us all! We would definitely come back. Thanks for a great stay!

We had a lovely stay in August 2024. The villa is stylishly decorated and incredibly roomy, even bigger than we expected, with wonderful views over a hill to the sea from the living area and top bedrooms/hot tub. Although it is in an area of other villas, it felt private and very quiet and peaceful. Beds were very comfy and bedrooms had aircon which was unobtrusive but effective. We opted to heat the pool, which wasn't strictly necessary but we were glad we did as it made it very comfortable. The area is beautiful and much less busy than the Algarve further east. There is a very nice beach and restaurant 'As Cabanas' within walking distance (about 10/15 minutes) for lunch or drinks. Straight across the road is a short track to the coastal path where you can walk to Salema and Burgau (Burgau under and hour), both small and pretty with beaches and nice places to eat. We would definitely return as we would like to explore this area more.
