The property has a peaceful charm with a relaxing atmosphere, a private pool, karaoke, and beautiful surroundings—ideal if you’re looking to completely unplug and stay put. However, our experience was mixed due to several factors that future guests should be aware of. The biggest challenge was the location. The house is remote and not listed in the city’s tourism directory, making it hard for local transport providers to locate. Accessibility is heavily impacted by the tides—depending on the time of day, getting in and out requires a flat boat (at an extra fee), which felt like a charge that should have been included in the price. While island hopping was available, it came at an additional cost, and leaving the property for any activities required extra planning and expense. If you’re not planning to explore and are content staying at the property, this might not be an issue—but it’s something to keep in mind.

This home was absolutely stunning! The decor was perfect and the views were spectacular. We had so much fun creating memories together. The staff was very responsive whenever we needed anything. The property feels very private and it was about 45 minutes away from the whale shark experience in Oslob and just over an hour from the canyoneering experience.

Host was super accommodating and helpful. The caretaker Ryan assisted us a lot in making our trip convenient. Had enough beds and room for a big family of 6 adults and 1 child. It was very clean and pleasant. Super near to the sardine run and turtle watching, we were also introduced to a local tour guide by the host and caretaker for the activities. We were also able to stick around in the property while waiting for transpo. It was a great and comfortable experience!

Truly an exceptional stay. Absolutely stunning views, and had everything we needed. Host was extremely responsive as well!

Best beach front accommodation. The beach is literally a few steps from the gate. It is also close to the turtle and sardine run (5 min drive). The house is perfect and has all the things you need. Rooms are quite big as well. We enjoyed grilling our food using their griller and they have all things you need. Ate Lisa the caretaker is a gem. The hosts are very responsive to my queries and very helpful. Overall a 10/10.

Great place to stay, and it's my second time there. The place does not disappoint! Kitchen is fully ready, with clean drinking water and many spacious rooms with beds. Just be cautions of mosquitoes and bring the right anti-insect repellant lotions. Otherwise, we had a great stay and will definitely be back again!

The place is simple yet amazing! If you need to unwind, or need a quiet but beautiful location… then this is the place for you. Plus, the caretakers are very friendly. They have assisted us so well. A night of stay in Patricia’s place is not enough.

Had a very relaxing stay at Marla’s place. It was very clean and private and had everything we needed. Globe signal was very strong and helpful for times I needed to work. Marla was also very communicative, friendly, and made sure we had what we needed. She is easily one of the best Airbnb hosts I’ve had the pleasure to deal with. Would recommend for anyone looking to stay in Guimbal.

We really enjoyed our stay overall. The only small issues were the occasional power outages and the lack of blinds on the big windows, which made it a bit hard to sleep in or nap during the day.

Good place to relax and unwind away from the city. Although CR is not so good. I think their water pipe is very dirty already since the water coming out of the faucet is a little bit brownish. Bed room is okay, there is a noticeable smell on the linen. Overall, place is okay. Very peaceful.

The place is highly recommendable and the view is awesome. The food, the host and even the staff are amazing. We’ll definitely be back.

We had an amazing stay! The food was absolutely delicious, especially the local seafood dishes prepared by Ate Nita, who is an incredible cook. Ate Mayang was extremely helpful and accommodating, making sure all our needs were met. The team went above and beyond by arranging our entire travel itinerary and meals, so we didn’t have to worry about a thing. The owner provided detailed information about what to expect, which made everything smooth and stress-free. The place itself was peaceful and fully equipped with toiletries and kitchen essentials. It felt like a home away from home. Overall, it was a fun and worry-free travel experience. We highly recommend staying here and can’t wait to come back.

This was our second time staying here. We love the location and the host is always helpful with all of our concerns. We've even made friends with some of the locals down the beach.

Maria, Lisa, Vincent and Lisa's daughter (?) run a lovely place which was exactly what I needed: peaceful, away from the hustle and bustle yet with thoughtfully arranged space and activity opportunities. The hut has an unbeatable view, very comfy bed and good WiFi (although I did not use it for work). Everyone is very accomodating and nice, they really go the extra mile to make sure your stay is memorable and enjoyable. On top of that, there are vegetarian options in the restaurant which I appreciated since it's not a given in many places around the island. Reasonably priced motorbike rental on-site too, which I can recommend (not a fan of having to leave the passport as deposit though but I felt I could trust the people there, so that was ok). Should I ever be around Cebu again, I won't think twice about coming back. Thank you!

We were lucky enough to spend five nights in this beautiful, family owned island paradise. It’s the perfect place to unwind and be fully immersed in the natural beauty of Alad, Romblon. We loved everything about our stay, from the sleek modern rooms to the beautiful sunsets over the ocean. The staff are so lovely and welcoming and cook the most delicious Filipino meals using fresh produce from their garden and seafood from local fisherman. You can take a paddle boat out to explore, snorkel or swim at one of the islands beaches or simply relax and enjoy the serenity. Giselle was a wonderful host who was always contactable and helpful. We hope to return soon!
