The Cowshed Cottage

JohnRating, 5 stars5 days ago
We had the best time in our 5 nights at the Cow Shed. It is such a cute , delightful place with such quality equipment. Everything you could ever need. Al and Trish are the best hosts, we were completely spoiled with incredible fresh sourdough bread handmade by Al, who worked in Michelin Star restaurants. Jersey milk, thick cream, home made butter and divine ultra choc brownie made by Trish, who is a pastry chef. You will love their unique style, and lifestyle. Kerikeri is a posh and delightful place. The Rainbow falls, beautiful sight and walk, for a more muddy and slippery, but short walk, Charlies rock falls are stunning. The pillar rock formations, wow. The tropical gardens... Art Park is a lovely dog friendly walk too. Stone store and historic house and tea room, craft beer restarant next door all lovely. Loved the beach near Aroha Island too.

The WoodShed: Breakfast + kitchen, a luxury oasis

ColleenRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
My solo trip to Kerikeri for a couple of nights was made more special by my stay at Clare & Chris's Woodshed cottage. Location was just on the outskirts of the township in a peaceful countryside, private & serene location. Chris & Clare's family home is next door & a music studio set on 5 acres. The creative workmanship that Chris has poured into this gorgeous cottage is a credit to him. Spacious kitchen with delicious breakfast provisions, modern stylish bathroom with a window looking out to the countryside, comfortable bed, quality linen, enormous and very comfortable couch to relax after a days sightseeing to the many waterfalls & a heat pump that warmed the space quickly. Morning coffee & breakfast on the deck looking down to the duck pond & bushland with the warm sunshine to welcome a new day was simply delightful. Extremely quiet which made for a very peaceful nights sleep. Thankyou Chris for your warm hospitality (sorry to have missed meeting you Clare, hopefully my next visit!

container tiny home

SharleneRating, 5 stars3 months ago
Ashley’s air b n b accommodation was in a perfect location for the four nights I stayed there and super handy to get on and off state highway 1. It was warm and cosy, and there were lots of windows to throw open during the warmer parts of the day. It was really nice and clean. Ashley was really receptive and accomodating. I have to mention Nora her dog because I love animals which Nora must’ve picked up on. Nora’s such a lovely friendly little Kelpie and sometimes jumped in my truck when I got back early and opened the gate so she took a little ride to the container cabin with me to hang out which I appreciated as I was staying there on my own. In saying that she spent the majority of time with her family when they were home. Thanks for having me Ashley, you’ve set the container up beautifully for an overnight stay.

Architectural Bush Haven

Amy was a very lovely host who was very accommodating and quick to respond if we needed help with anything. We enjoyed the morning homemade muesli. The place was very clean and the heatpump kept us warm. The surrounding area was very nice and quiet and it was so sweet being woken up by the sound of beautiful birds. The location was suitable for the activities that me and my husband wanted to do in the upper North Island.
