Ica View Glamping is more than a place to crash for the night. It’s an off the grid glamping experience. Situated on a hill top overlooking the breathtaking Ica Valley.
“Just spent an amazing weekend here. Beautiful views, very well thought out and set up with lots of lovely little touches. The highlights were definitely the hot chocolate and outdoor bath! Would highly recommend for a secluded relaxing escape that has everything you need-was just perfect! Alex was also an awesome host :)”

“I spent 40 nights here during the Covid-19 lockdown and I have never been happier. The location is unbeatable. The mountains, sea and house itself are truly extraordinary. Brian was an extremely accommodating and friendly host. The house is clean and has all the amenities you might need. If you’re looking for a truly remarkable experience, I highly recommend this place. It’s one of a kind. I will dream about this place for the rest of my life!!”
Unique backpacker accommodation for alternative travellers! Stay in our little tree house, made from all recycled materials and overlooking the hills of the Akatarawa... It's warm and cozy with a heater and electric blanket for a warm bed. Free WiFi and power in the hut, and a firebath below! Perfect place to unwind!
“This place is very special, the pictures only hint at what awaits. I booked 3 nights and could have stayed an extra 3. I would recommend spending a day relaxing at the property enjoying the gardens and the river (spent 5 hours swimming and napping down by the river with a picnic lunch = bliss). There are forest/ bush walks nearby for people wanting to explore the area, lovely to finish a day of tramping with a cool evening swim in the river. The tree hut experience is magical, recycled wood with stylish interior panelling and lots of natural light - a lovely way to wake up. I felt like I had privacy and also enjoyed the interaction with the fantastic hosts who are interesting people doing their bit for the environment. It’s inspiring. Less than an hour’s drive from central city Wellington, this is not for people looking to get away from the city whilst still expecting the convenience of city living. I would say It’s more for people who want/ prefer to live life in the ‘smug’ lane and reconnect with the elements but without the tent and camping paraphernalia :). Highly recommend.”
