Had a fantastic stay at this Airbnb! The place was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped for a relaxing getaway. The host was incredibly responsive and made sure everything was perfect. Very peaceful location and the atmosphere was welcoming. Would definitely stay here again!

We felt like at home. The house is located in a private property with swimming pool and tennis courts. It’s very clean and very peaceful. Just a clarification about the description : there’s no bathroom in the basement. Then if you come with elderly people or very young kids, it could be annoying. If you like cooking, the kitchen is very well equipped. We´ll keep a very good memory of our stay in Ducktrap Retreat during the colorful foliage season.

this was the 3rd time our family has stayed,again we had a fantastic time! We chose to return due to the great space, a fabulous indoor pool, great kitchen and an amazing view. Great attention to details, comfortable for large families or groups and peaceful for just 2.

Booked this place for our anniversary to get away from the city for a weekend.. we found exactly what we were looking for! The hot tub was wonderful, the house was clean and cute, and we had everything we could have needed! Estelle was very responsive and gave clear instructions for everything. Would recommend this place for a quiet getaway or a small group trip in the summer!

We got a very rainy week in Maine but still enjoyed the beautiful, comfortable and well stocked house, views, decks and incredible garden. Beautiful restaurants, bookstores and wine and antique shops near by. Hope to return to very soon.

Great house for our family! Several family members came into town for a college graduation, it was perfect! Lots of room and the host was very easy to reach and was flexible.

This was our second stay at Ducktrap and the beautiful lodge has truly become a family favorite. The spacious covered deck and outdoor kitchen combined with community pool, tennis court, fire pit and grassy yard provided a perfect backdrop for memorable outdoor activities while the main areas inside provided ample space for all 14 of us to gather together. Having a few more days this year also gave us time to explore the surrounding area--we hiked the local trails to experience incredible vistas, fell in love with the charm of Camden and "discovered" amazing lobster shacks in Rockland and Belfast. During our week together, our family made memories that will last a lifetime. We can't wait to be back!

Beautiful with a great view. The home was decorated perfectly and was so comfortable to be in. The hot tub was in the center of the hotel and a perfect way to end the day. The home felt private and the house had its own fire pit which was nice. Elizabeth was very accommodating and offered great suggestions to fill our day such as hiking and checking out spots in Belfast. The property was clean and well kept. I would absolutely recommend and stay again!

Loved being at the cabin for the week. Coffee outside on the lower porch, walks down to the pond, and the cool breeze through the house in the evenings. The house had everything we needed and more. Definitely stop by Hope general store if you’re staying here! Hostess was available but not invasive, great experience

There’s not enough words to say how wonderful Alana was from the initial booking to check out. We have booked a lot of Airbnb’s and this is our all time favorite. The location is amazing with the water view. I was so excited about the decor I spent an hour sending pictures to my daughter. We really loved the history behind the house too. This is our new go-to everytime we visit the area. Thank you for sharing such an incredible home!

All the previous reviews indicated we would love this location, the setting, the caring of the host....we were inspired to join Airbnb to just be able to stay here!!! The beauty of the surroundings is remarkable and we admire the care taken to keep it in its refined natural state. We are so thankful we took the description and reviews to heart! We now have another great Maine memory!

The main house perfectly met our needs. The view to the lake was beautiful and the house was very clean. Beds were comfy (we did not use top bunks)

Our stay was calm, comfortable, peaceful, beautiful. The home has gorgeous scenic views from all the large windows in about every room. We experienced all the comforts of home. The house is well stocked for all our needs in kitchen and elsewhere. Our hosts were very helpful and responsive. Give it a try, and you will not be disappointed. 😊

The place was serene—the perfect spot to relax, unwind, and bond. It is spacious, featuring two bedrooms and two full bathrooms, which is a plus. We loved our time and stay at Elana’s place. The house is beautifully designed and decorated and we appreciated the thoughtful upgrades in bedding, soaps, overall decor, etc. We were a group of 4 (two couples) and we each had more than enough space to ourselves. We spent most of our time during the day out and about either on hikes (drove to Acadia one day!) or visiting the shops and restaurants in the village. Coming back to the house in the evenings felt like coming home. Camden is a postcard town with great food/ restaurants, nature activities and stunning views. We stayed for a full week and felt like we ran out of time. We can’t wait to come back!

Beautiful place to stay at! Right next to a grocery store and there are some kayaks/canoes to use in the lake. Definitely worth what we paid! Would gladly stay there again.

The house was an amazing location! We thoroughly enjoyed the sunrises & sunsets while grilling dinners in the evenings! The house was very clean and Robert was a great host. I mess him to ask if there was an axe on site. He responded that there wasn’t but that he would get firewood for us the next morning. It was so awesome to sit around the fire at night and hear the loons calling. It was very relaxing. We had to travel at least an hour to do the site seeing we wanted to do but we expected that. Overall was great and I’d recommend the house to others!!

This is a beautiful cottage in a very peaceful area in a super small town. Easy drive to many small towns throughout Maine from the Canadian border to Portland. Not a lot in the immediate area but within a min 20-30 minute drive, there's lots to do. The cottage is exactly like the pictures and was a joy to stay in. The host was amazing and very helpful with providing ideas for local activities and things to see. We spent two weeks and really enjoyed it!

The perfect Maine getaway. The accommodation is clean, simple, efficient, and with the most stunning views. The access to Hobb Lake was incredible and we took advantage of breakfast on the picnic bench by the water and using the kayaks. The space is kid friendly (we have an 18mo old) and with a great big yard for lots of activities. The location is perfect for short drives to local hikes, great restaurants in Camden/Rockport/Belfast and day trips to Deer Isle and Acadia NP. Jenny was extremely responsive and kind- and went out of her way to help us with a unique situation. We would 100% stay again!

First of all the Wonky Donkey is a hilarious name The host was extremely helpful right away by giving good detail on how to find the place, allowing early checkin (saved us as we were able to nap after redeyes, before my brother's graduation), and giving clear info on how to enter We loved seeing the animals outside, and my family absolutely loved how spacious and clean the inside of the home was. The heaters came in clutch for this cold weather we're not used to, and we appreciated getting to use the kitchen and relax in the big living room area Finally, not having to follow a list of demands by the host is awesome in this day and age of Airbnb. We got to leave without worrying about how to do the laundry, where to throw trash away, washing dishes, etc We highly recommend this place if you need to stay in the area!

As mentioned before this home was enchanting. My only regret was I didn't reserve for longer. Every room had a view of the sea. We took advantage of that and spent a few evenings sitting at the picnic table dining and BBQing. The most relaxing time we have all had in a very long time. Many thanks Caitlin. The location was perfect! The lake was so beautiful and we had so much fun using the kayak, canoe, and paddle boards. Everything was well provided for and any issues were resolved quickly. Sarah’s hospitality was amazing and it was such a memorable time for our big group :)
