Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Walloon Lake

My daughter and I had a very nice stay at RuthAnne’s Airbnb. Spacious, clean, well decorated, quiet, close to downtown location. We would recommend this space to anyone traveling up north for a weekend away!

Courtney’s Home in Petoskey exceeded our expectations. Communication leading up to and during our stay was helpful, kind, and accurate. The photos of the house and yard accurately depict its cleanliness, decor, and amenities. Checking-in and out is quick and uncomplicated. The “House Rules” were short, sweet, and without burden. Being pet-friendly enabled our four-legged family member to be comfortable, secure, and free instead of cooped-up in a tiny hotel room. The fenced in yard was an extra added bonus that he appreciated the most. The home's location is easy to find. It provides quick access to downtown Petoskey and the entire city’s amenities. It also provides direct access to many great surrounding cities and towns such as Harbor Springs, Boyne City, Charlevoix, Indian River, Mackinaw City, and many more. If available in the future, we would love to stay again and highly recommend others to do the same. Safe and happy travels!

Had a great stay with our two kids (3.5 and 6 yrs old). They were able to share the second downstairs bedroom and had their own bathroom. The place was just like the pictures, very beautiful. Had tons of fun exploring the area, our favorite places were the Grass River Natural area down the street, downtown Bellaire for the brewery and candy store and ice cream store, King Orchard further north was great for the kids, and finally we spent two days at Antrim Beach to play in the sand and look for rocks. Cooked a lot in the kitchen and made smores on the firepit a few times. The only negative is that the house is near a road so although it is very quiet and peaceful, there are occasional cars going by which you can't see but only hear.

We have stayed in many Airbnb’s over the years, but the Lil Red cabin really stands out as one of the most comfortable, clean and accommodating! The host provided everything we needed and expected, but was over and above with all the little “extras” that were included! It was obvious that the host was thinking about our needs and comfort. 100% recommend! Would love to come back if we return to the area!

Great peaceful place on a lake but close to town. Perfect get a way

We loved the unique feel of the Farmhouse! The wood floors were classic! Ample parking, too, even when we hosted carry-in dinner for other family members, the kind neighbor offered to move his car to allow even more space before the others arrived! Can't imagine other places to have such thoughtful neighbors! We loved the dining area where we all could sit comfortably around to enjoy food and conversation. Usually the 1st nite in a new bed, I have trouble falling asleep, but it was so comfortable. My husband & I had no trouble at all sleeping! Very nice. The bathroom had more than enough towels for us for the whole week. Very plush, too! If we were in the area again, we would definitely stay here.

My family enjoyed our time he on a snowmobile/ snowboard trip. The house was oerfect for our family and close by to all the fun we wanted to have. Would highly reccomend!

When we came inside, my 9 yr old son told me the house is his dream house. Everyone in my party loved the place, so we are planning to come back again. Even my family in the Philippines said the house is pretty, well organized. We have been traveling a lot and been in a lot of hotels but this place is the best. So much better than 5 star hotel. We never had any problem or issue.

It was a beautiful setting. Attached to the winery but on the back side so we had privacy too.

This was our fourth time staying at Kaye’s place, and once again, it did not disappoint! We had a wonderful time waking everywhere in town, visiting local shops and restaurants. This place has everything you will need for a stay in Petoskey!

This is such a beautiful place. Really is a slice of heaven. You have to experience it to see the real magic. Beautiful private beach, sunrises, beach bonfire, private deck spaces and the living areas are the cleanest rooms I have experienced. The hosts are so responsive to anything you need. Listen to their recommendations of places to visit or dine and you will have the best experience.

Tim was such an amazing host!! So friendly, and even offered for us to stay a little late due to late flight. I will be using him again! Such a great host!

Tamara’s place was just what we needed. Everything was as described perfectly and easy to find. Beds were comfortable and kitchen area was well set up. We ran out of TP and Tamara was very responsive and supplied us with more. We would definitely return for another stay.

Kate's place was amazing! We only stayed for a night but it was very comfortable! we felt right at home. Kate was very responsive, she had little things in the place ready for us and the shower pressure was GREAT!!

Great stay at Brenda's place, it was my girlfriend's birthday and she left some decorations as well as a hand written card! Very sweet, 10/10 recommend

My family and I had a fantastic stay at Elizabeth’s place and was exactly as described- beautiful lake view/sunsets, well-equipped, comfortable beds, and great layout for multi-family (a plus I could bring my pup along)! It was a perfect centralized location to the activities we had planned for Memorial Day weekend (1 hr to Mackinaw City, 1 hr to Traverse City, 10 minutes to Boyne City, 30 minutes to Charlevoix and Petoskey). Elizabeth was very responsive and ensured check-in/check-out went smoothly. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

Mary was a very lovely host and was easy to contact and was quick to respond. You really couldn’t want anything more than this unit, you’re facing the lake, It’s quiet and has incredible sunrises. It’s really everything you need - especially for a couple. The kitchen was well equipped. Heat and AC, no problems. Everything was exceptionally clean!! I am really crazy about cleanliness and I can tell you I felt right at home here, I didn’t need to clean with my Clorox wipes to feel comfortable. You wouldn’t go wrong renting this unit. It was easy to get around from here we went to the tunnel of the trees, Mackinaw, Petoskey and Charlevoix and Harbor Springs. Lots of places to eat or you could stay at home and make dinner and use their grill. The grounds were very nice and very well kept! So what is my downside to this trip? Well the weather was too chilly, but I guess there’s no controlling that next time. I will know that this early in the season it’s a gamble on whether it will be wa

This was our first time to Traverse City and we lucked up finding this condo on the beach/water! It was decorated so cute with modern/clean touches. Very easy to enter/leave with press-lock. The bed is SO comfortable. We were very appreciative of the 'Welcome' book with recommendations of things to do/places to see around Traverse. Would definitely book here again!
